Chuck and Andy return in Super Quick Mysteries, Volume 2! Lesser Redmond is still bursting with mysteries for sandwich salesman Chuck and Redmond reporter Andy to grapple with. Chuck Wagon runs into difficulty as Chuck’s arch-nemesis, Dave, begins selling tacos across the street, while Andy is forced to contend with a new spendthrift editor and the return of notorious con man Ernest Dunn. Thirty super quick mysteries you can solve yourself!
I enjoy these short mysteries, but book 2 is simply a continuation of the first book… I was hoping for some new characters in addition to Andy and Chuck. (The primary change was Andy’s new boss who indulges in a luxurious lifestyle by using the newspaper’s expense account.) One interesting mystery that stands out is actually based on a true story about Joseph Stalin and the rise/expansion of communism… (#23 Smersh).
I like this series of books because I can pick it up at anytime and read a mystery or two when I'm not busy. The short stories hold my attention and I like to figure each one and I'm getting better the more I read. Thank you for keeping me busy and feeling like I'm a great detective!
