I read this when I was way younger and loved it. Rereading it now, I don't think it's quite as stellar. Sure, the art style is still just as pretty as I remember it, but it's not as fulfilling to read. The characters are more cliche than I remember them being and the plots of the chapters are very straightforward. Aside from the building relationships between the main three characters, there doesn't seem to be much of an overarching plot so far.
Also, holy crap this government law is nuts. It takes years with lawyers to get murderers the death penalty in reality, but these people declare the death sentence over night here? This world definitely has some major dystopian crap going on.
