Starr Conners life was destined to be a tragic one being she was born addicted to heroin thanks to her junkie mother. Doctors believed that Starr would only be a waste in society and behind in everything she did. After losing the love of her life Keylan; Starr loses all compassion and want to have a better life. I've read Shan's "Rozalyn" series so when I heard "Reigning Starr" was out, I immediately bought it. Let me go ahead and say I was not disappointed!
We meet up with Starr about a year after the events of Rozalyn 2. Did you figure Starr would hide out after losing almost everything precious to her? Did you expect her to give up? Well, if that's what you expected to find in this book think again! Starr is on her A game after moving back to Atlanta. With her best friend Brian and ex-boyfriend Quad in tow, Starr is determined to come out on top this time. But what she doesn't know is that someone lurks in the shadows, someone that just might end her life as she knows it!
"Reigning Starr" was good from beginning to end! I finished this book in about two days and let me tell you, I barely wanted to put it down! Everything from the characters, the plot, the storyline...fabolous! The most shocking part of this story was the ending. I never saw it coming. "Reigning Starr" is sure to take you on a wide range of emotions. Author Shan's writing just gets better and better in each book that she releases. Can't wait for the next one. 5 stars!

I enjoyed Shan's other two books in the Rozalyn series so I was super excited to get into Reigning Starr. Sham definitely didn't disappoint me with this book. It started with a bang and I read it in a few hours bc I couldn't put it down. Starr was a force to be reckoned with and although I disagreed with many of the decisions that she made I also felt for.her character. The twist at the end had me a lil tore up and I wished things would've turned out differently but I'm glad that she finally found happiness.

Myss Shan did it again! What an awesome roller coaster ride!!! I thought I was hooked on the Rozalyn Series, but I loved Reigning Star. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen Shan threw in some shockers. The story came together leaving no unanswered questions. The book was well written and kept me on the edge of my seat to the very end. We really got to see what type of hood chick Starr was, and it was good to see a day in the life of Starr! She held her own and was a no nonsense type of girl. Hats off to Author Shan. She really did her thing.

This is not my first book by Myss Shan and I must admit she put it down in this book. I was so enjoying this book thinking that I knew what what was going on but was totally blown away at the ending. I never saw it coming. Shan did an awesome job with this book. I have to admit this a a jaw dropper. So get your copy and see what I'm talking about.

Unexpected
I never expected quad to be setting everybody up. Or for starr to be pregnant by neek. But I enjoyed this from start to finish

Fooled me
I loved this story with all the twists and turns in it. Since I’ve read the Rozalyn series, it’s always good to see her and Tamar pop up.

This was an good read. I enjoy Myss Shan books very much and this didn't disappoint. Reigning Starr lived up to its name, as Starr comes out the reigning champ. I am glad that she was able to overcome her adversities and try to live an somewhat decent life, she deserved it. Starr had to deal with the secrets of everyone around her, Quad's obsession with her, and much more...I was not expecting that ending and can't wait to read Rozalyn 3 to see what happens with Starr next!! I'm sure its going to be drama, that is the hood's barbie.

This book really gave lots of insight into Rozalyn's friend Starr. I was surprised at some of the things that happened, but enjoyed the author's happy ending. It was definitely worth the read, with plenty secrets and drama!
