What would you do to save your friend? … and what if that friend lived 100 years ago?
Peter Seth has unusual visions that separate him from others and keep him a loner. When he meets Oliver, who also possesses this unusual ability, Peter finally finds acceptance. This friendship is short-lived, however, because Oliver’s life ended 100 years ago. Peter has only a few weeks to prevent this death from happening again … or he’ll relive it with Oliver.
My Kindle cover is different ... I'm not sure which I prefer ...
It started off strong, hooking you right at the prologue. The first chapter or two just jumped right in, at times I wondered if I had missed something (an explanation of Peter's limp, his family) but they were explained a little later on.
This wasn't time travel, but two times coexisting at certain points ... they never said the exact word "reincarnation" but ... anyway, it was an interesting read. I liked it.
I'm still struggling to figure out the size of books as I switch to digital and I'm not holding a physical book in my hand. This said upfront it was a novella, so I was surprised to see it had 23 chapters (and a prologue and epilogue) ... but they were very short and I did read this in an afternoon. Kindle 1165/ 92 actual pages
This is a quick read (a novella)... any story dealing with time displacement is always somewhat complex. This was no exception. There were many "what if" questions to contemplate. It reminded me a bit of the movie "Frequency" (which I really liked) with the communication between two time periods. It also had shades of Haddix's "The Missing" series... seeing a shadow/real object/person overlapped. It was a good little read. Not something I would totally rave over, but good. I had picked it up when it was offered free from Amazon. Read on my Kindle app.
Peter has the unusual ability to see images of the past. With this ability, he meets Oliver from 100 years ago. They talk and play, in the here and now, though Oliver should be a ghost from the past. Can Peter warn Oliver of events to come in Oliver's time without affecting the present?
A simple story of the paranormal and visions of the past. That is all I expected when I started to read this particular story. I didn’t foresee I would cry for a sweet story of love and friendship.
I absolutely loved this novella! Befor i was even halfway through it, I loved it and was reccommending it on facebook. I wish there were more to it, because i'd really like to learn more about the characters.
