I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
'Heated Match' by Lynne Silver is the first book in the "Coded for Love" series. This is the story of Loren Stanton and Adam Blacker.

Adam was and is part of a government program of genetically enhanced soldiers. The program had been a secret but now their cover has been blown. Adam is now the leader of a covert ops group that was set to protect a baby from being kidnapped at a party. There Adam met Loren who pretty much took his breath-away and he was quickly attracted to her. Adam was able to get her to dance with him but she suddenly left him mid-dance. A short time later things start to go bad as the baby is kidnapped. Adam admits that he was distracted by Loren but they agree she wasn't part of the kidnapping. It seems her unknown to her brother named Chase, is part of the government program and he speaks up for her along with Adam agreeing that she wasn't part of it.

Loren is a journalist and her she was assigned to the party to report on the food, entertainment etc. side of things. But Loren after meeting Adam is very attracted to him and this upsets her. Loren leaves before the kidnapping happens and the next day her boss is upset that she left and didn't get the story. Loren talks her boss into letter her help work on the story which leads her to go to the government site where Adam, Chase and the other are. There she tries to take pictures and talk her way into the building to get a interview. Loren knows that is more to what is going on with Adam and this story.

Now Loren and Adam are face to face again. The attraction is just as strong if not stronger. Adam is being pressured to meet the request of fathering a child by his father/officials. But Adam doesn't want that due to how much it had hurt his mother. Will they have a choice in how their relationship develops? Can they fight their feels?

Did Not Finish.

After heroine is tricked into drinking water that is laced with a drug that makes her so horny she MUST have sex, then locked in a room with the hero - obviously then has sex with him for 24 hrs - she isn't even pissed off this happened to her!!!

Plus she was on birth control, so why did the super 'smart' person that tricked her into drinking this water not check on this fact? (he wanted to use her to breed super soldiers)

Can't finish.

Afrodyt's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Adam Blacker is the leader of a team of genetically enhanced soldiers. While the program has been around since the sixties, their top secret cover has been blown and the agency has been thrust in the spotlight. Adam is carrying around secrets and unfinished business. While he's dedicated to The Program and his teammates, he especially resists siring the next generation of super soldiers.

Loren Stanton is a journalist with the Washington Post and she's covering a story that puts her directly in contact with The Program. The more she researched the story the further she falls down the rabbit hole. What neither Adam nor Loren knows is that they are a perfect genetic match for each other and their DNA compatibility creates an atmosphere between them that makes them virtually irresistible to each other.

This novel is the beginning of the Coded for Love series. While the premise is rather promising, I have to admit that I wanted more from this story than what I got. I found the dialogue among the characters simplistic and the sex scenes perfunctory. There were moments of humor that fell flat and lines spoken by all the characters that were downright cheesy. I wanted to like this story. It held my attention enough to get me invested in the outcome, but it was predictable, ordinary and the character development left something to be desired.

Thanks to an inside source the American people and others around the world have found out about The Program, a compound for genetically enhanced soldiers. The program is specifically for those who scientists have determined to be the perfect match for another and then their offspring, who use more of their brain than the normal human population. It has been a secret for decades. Not anymore.

Adam and Loren meet at a birthday party for an ambassador's son. She is covering it for The Post and he is working security. Drawn to her, Adam cannot seem to get his mind on the job after he sees her until she leaves the room. Being team leader this is a problem. When the child is kidnapped from under everyone's noses it becomes clear there is more at play here than a normal kidnapping.

Loren has to redeem herself and go to the compound hoping to find out more about the kidnapping, after seeing Adam on security tape from earlier at another job. Once at the compound gate she starts snapping pictures with her phone. This is caught on security cameras. Shep sends Gavin out to take her phone, and send her on her way. Gavin goes to do just that but since Loren has been taught by her father some martial arts it's not as easy a job as expected and once she makes a run for the inside Gavin grabs her foot and pills her to the ground, he now straddles her to collect the camera. Out of nowhere a blur come flashing by and knocks Gavin off of her. Adam. He had been watching the cameras and once he saw Gavin touch her that was it. So he collects her and tosses her keys to Gavin to bring the car inside.

Heavy security means a palm scan a DNA swab and then several other steps to get into the office area where she, Adam and Shep proceed to a meeting room. She thinks she is going to finally get some answers, but after a few minutes Shep leaves the room and says he'll be back shortly.

What you need to know is that Shep and Adam's dad, William, have asked Adam to search for his perfect match and have the future generation for the program and then his team will follow his example. He is firmly against this and you'll learn why later on.

Back in the room, Loren and Adam start to talk a little but stay as far away from each other as possible. He is hard and her nipples are so sensitive they hurt. When Shep doesn't come back Adam goes to find him except they have been locked in the room. After much screaming and cussing Shep tells Adam to calm down. She is his perfect match and if he can keep his hands to himself for twenty-four hours they will let them out. This proves to be much harder than your think. So begins the story of Loren and Adam.

Loren discovers she has a half brother, Chase, and that her father was part of the program.

This story has a team with an inside mole that has done damage for years, but it's finally catching up to him. But not before Chase is attacked, Adam is kidnapped and in going to find Adam so is Loren.

It's a quick read with a lot of potential. I gave it a 3.5 because I didn't see much of the enhancements as I expected. On to book number two.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

HEATED MATCH was nothing like what I thought I'd be reading when I decided to get this book, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed! From the picture and summary, I thought I was choosing an erotica romance with a Sci-Fi subplot. Instead I found a romantic suspense novel with a really intriguing Sci-Fi story that had me cursing the bad guy and cheering for Adam and Loren to save each other in every sense of the word.

Adam is a highly trained team leader of a covert ops group, but one look at Loren has him forgetting his mission in his pursuit of her. Loren is a strong, independent woman and is hoping to advance her journalism career with a big story when she meets Adam. When Adam's boss finds out Loren is Adam's genetic match, he locks them in a room for 24 hours in hopes to breed the next line of genetically advanced soldiers. While neither is ready for that kind of commitment, they also can't resist the painful physical desire they have for each other. After their lockdown is over, Loren is convinced by Adam's boss to remain on the military campus for two weeks in return for information on a kidnapping case she's covering for her paper as well as information on her own personal history.

I had two minor issues with the story – the first was that I really didn't think this had any erotica tendencies to it. For the most part, it seemed like they talked about their burning desire, used a couple words like nipple or erection, and bam – they both orgasmed and we'd moved on to the next scene. It was almost like those fade to black books in that regard… And I know the characters were both practically in heat, but EVERY time they hooked up, it was really fast. Like, I didn't have time to get into it fast. So given the cover, the summary, and the genre the author seems to write to, I thought that the actual sex scenes could have been a little more heated or passionate.

My second issue was that I would have liked to get a little more information on how the DNA alterations happened. We are told that the men were paired with gorgeous and intelligent women to make the first genetically enhanced soldiers, but I assume there were also some changes made to the DNA to make the initial males. But there was never any explanation on how or when the DNA alteration would happen. Also, why do the females in the scenario also react physically to being in close proximity to the males as opposed to just the enhanced males feeling a physical response? I mean, the guy has the genetically altered DNA that makes him hardwired to want to reproduce in a caveman-like way, but the female is just a female who happens to have complimentary DNA. So why would she have such a reaction unless she drank the specially formulated water (example: in the opening scene at the birthday party)?

But those two comments aside, the storyline was really exciting and suspenseful. The bad guy was OH SO BAD – I hated reading the parts that were from his point of view – but then, even that's a good thing because I cared enough to really hate him! I have a feeling Xander may be starring in one of the next few books in the series and as usual I'm already drooling at the thought of this dark, brooding guy being the star of my dreams (I mean, book) for a few nights. The author also leaves some interesting hints about Chase and what may have happened on his mission that I'm hoping she pursues!!! Bring on Coded for Love #2!

I had a few little niggles with this book.
The genetic matching thing isn't really explained. I know it might not bother some people but I like rules. Because it's going to take up heaps of space and potentially spoil the book I've put my questions/concerns as spoilers:

I also wonder how Shep has managed to get in charge, he dismissed Loren's insight into Adam's location but said if they were married he'd let her into the meeting, so this genetic match that he lauds so much is dismissed, WTH? Also Xander, Rowan and Loren after being ignored go to London to rescue Adam and Shep is going to reprimand them for it. While I get chain of command is important, they acted on information he refused to hear.
But this could be personally influenced, I don't like Shep much. He was a total jerk about Xander, calling him a sociopath, and the bit I'd seen of Xander to that point I liked him, yes he is antisocial but he certainly seemed to have feelings to me.

Now Loren and Adam.

Loren was a journalist and there was some great set-up between her and another journo at The Post that got kind of dropped. I liked that she wasn't against family in the future and she was okay with compromising her old life and life in the base. I didn't like that she wanted to go to London with Adam. She has no military or weapons training what so ever.
Loren avoided being TSTL IMO, when she went to London, because a) she takes backup and b) going to London without Program support was the backup plan after they ignored them.

Adam is a bit of a dick really about his objection to having a match and it takes a real wake-up call in having to face the reality of his decision not to have kids (i.e. losing Loren) and a message from his mother. Adam admits he was really messed up by his mother and her reaction to Rowan's disability. I don't like that Adam just said no to Loren coming to London without explaining - especially since there was a good reason to say no. But that's just me I get sick of alpha heroes saying not to protect when the heroines are capable. In this case Loren's not necessarily capable so an argument wouldn't have needed to end in capitulation.

Adam and Loren were good together, Adam does have good reasons (at least in his head) to deny Loren, but the attraction between them is hot and the intimacy leads them both to work towards their HEA.

The villain. Not a secret, which worked well there was still suspense in the question of will they realise it's or not? He was a fully fleshed person and his actions worked for me.

Good story, great set-up for a new series, and I'm looking forward to stories for Xander and Chase (at the least) and I really hope Xander turns out the way I expect.

I agreed to read this book based on the blurb - genetic modification and covert ops? Awesome. I was looking forward to, based on the description, romantic-suspense. That is not what I got.

Based on the number of plot holes and underdeveloped areas, it seems like this book may have started out as a shorter story that was eventually added to. (Having gone back and looked at some of the reviews, this may be the case).

To note - I waited a day to write this review, hoping that after I had time to process it further, my review would be more favorable. Sadly, this is not the case.

As I started to read, I noticed the many elements of the plot similar to Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker series, and various other paranormal romance plots - hero and heroine are inexplicably drawn to one another (due to scent, genetics, breed-mate status, blood, etc.) and cannot fight this burning, raging attraction (even though they hate/dislike/distrust/are strangers), and the only solution is to rip each other's clothes off (but first they have to stake a claim and exhibit unrealistic and obsessive moments of jealousy and possession), blah, blah, blah.

Sigh.

There is so much more that could have been done with this book. The premise is an interesting one - perfect matches based on genetics? Fascinating idea, and one that seems fairly plausible. So...how does it work? I really want to know, because that is how my brain works. I love science, and if a book is going to utilize a scientific field to drive its plot, then it needs to follow through. Don't just gloss over it, since it is such a large premise of the book.

As a couple, Loren and Adam just did not do it for me; they reminded me of teenagers just learning to navigate "romantic" relationships. Being in each one's head hurt my head. I did, however, enjoy some of the secondary characters, including Chase, Rowan, and Xander. Each added humor and intrigue to the plot, and I want to know their stories.

As a setup to future books, Heated Match works, but on its own it falls short of presenting a well-developed story; there is just too much going on.

I wasn't sure I was going to continue with the series, but after I read the first chapter of Book 2, at the end of Heated Match, I found myself wanting to know how the over-arching storyline develops.

This story line has a wealth of potential, and I am hoping that the subsequent books delve deeper in to the elements of the plot, with less focus on the "OMG-best-orgasm-of-my-life-never had it this good- completely didn't realize I was undressing you in public-maybe we should get a room-but we shouldn't be doing this" moments.

It is a fairly quick read, and the steamy parts are quite steamy, which on its own makes it worth the time spent reading it.

I've put off reviewing this story because I just didn't know how to explain what the book was about - it's so unusual.

Adam and Loren met at a party he was forced to attend and as a journalist she was sent to cover. They didn't know that life would never be the same for either of them now that they've met. Loren was Adam's genetic match so they were strongly attracted to each other and couldn't think of anything else. This scared Laren so she left early. When the guest of honor (a one year old child) is kidnapped, Loren's boss is annoyed that she wasn't there to cover the story.

Adam is part of a secret government program of genetically enhanced soldiers. They are faster, stronger and have accelerated healing abilities. He's the leader of a covert ops group sent to protect the baby at the party. After meeting Loren he couldn't focus on anything else so missed the baby being kidnapped. The problem is once a soldier of the ‘Program’ meets his genetic match, the pull is so strong that nothing can stop their desire, and he can't focus on anything else so his attention to his mission suffers. The good part (or maybe it's another problem) is once they submit to this overwhelming pull, the couple will never want anyone else and constantly 'want' each other. They actually can't control their desire for each other.

This sci-fi story was full of action and sex. A lot of sex. It seemed to me that most of the book was made up of sex scenes between the main couple. Since they absolutely couldn't keep their hands off each other, I guess that's to be expected. I enjoyed the plot of searching for the baby. It did have me laughing out loud a couple of times during the first chapter but then the action kept me from chuckling. It had a good ending but there were lots of things that didn't have closure so it leads into other books.

This is a first time read for me for this author. I saw the cover up on NetGalley and since I was looking for a military romance I couldn't resist. Although, what I got was a little different to what I was expecting.

Heated Match introduces us to The Program, which is a base of elite soldiers who have been genetically modified from birth. This wasn't what I was expecting. I assumed it would just be another SEAL-like team. It did worry me a little as I didn't know how far the author would take things and I didn't want it to start merging with a sci-if romance.

Luckily, the men only have a few enhanced abilities such as sharp-shooting, hearing, being able to run faster etc. In all honesty, I'm not sure I bought into this side of things, but the rest of the book was good enough for me to ignore my doubts.

With regards to the romance, there was chemistry. I liked that both characters refused to accept the attraction and fought against it. I just didn't like constant references to the breeding program and being matched. It took some of the fire out of the relationship for me. It felt too clinical in terminology to explain Adam and Loren's attraction to one another.

As for the story, I liked the plot. I thought there was a lot going on to keep my interest, and it was paced well. With a large cast, the author did a good job at giving subtle hints at what's to come in future books and intriguing me with regards to the secondary characters. They all had individual personalities.

Overall, I'll be reading book 2 since I received that through NetGalley too. I'm still on the fence about the concept of GM soldiers, but the writing was good and so was the story.

This was my first time reading Lynne Silver, and it definitely will not be my last. Heated Match is nothing like I have read before. It is a romantic suspense novel, with an undertone of sci-fi. Sci-fi is not generally a genre that I enjoy reading but I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Adam is a genetically enhanced soldier, a leader of a covert military group. Adam is instantly drawn to Loren and he looses focus when she is near. Loren is a journalist, hoping to advance her career, when she approaches the base for an interview she gets more than she expected.

Heated Match is full of tension and passion. It's a really well written book with elements of humor, mixed in with the mystery of a romantic suspense. The sexual chemistry that Loren and Adam share is off the charts. Once they finally stop fighting their attraction, they can't seem to keep their hands off of each other.

I really enjoyed the other minor characters we were introduced to in this book. I was really intrigued by both Chase and Xander and can't wait to read their stories. It was a unique concept that the author has developed in regards to the genetically enhanced soldiers. The subplot of the kidnapping and subsequent investigation kept me engaged and enthralled by the story line.

There was just enough danger and mystery within this plot to keep it really interesting. A well paced book with an interesting plot, that I found really appealing and I read it from cover to cover in one sitting.

Compelling, action-packed and physical attraction that burns up the pages! The first book in Lynne Silver’s Coded For Love series will have you glued to your seat and breathing in every last word.

When scientists in the 1960’s attempt to manipulate human DNA to cure genetic diseases, they never expected to stumble upon the means to produce enhanced human beings. Faster, stronger and with accelerated healing abilities, the government soon realised that they may have the answer to the super soldier.

However the pros and cons of their emotional DNA are still being deliberated.

Con: When a soldier of the ‘Program’ meets his genetic match, the lure is so all consuming that nothing can extinguish their raging desire, and his attention to his current mission may suffer for his lack of focus.

Pro: Once they submit to this overwhelming magnetism, the couple will never want another and the offspring of a perfectly matched couple will provide the next generation of enhanced soldiers.

A fast flowing story with convincing world building, provides the reader with both the good and evil of this all too plausible concept; and a bevy of wonderful characters hint of future stories to come and the problematic backgrounds of the these imposing, yet loveable men.

Coded For Love is definitely a series that will now be on my ‘Must Read’ list.

Such a fun read with unexpected twists and turns and an explosive romance!

This book reminded me of why I love Lynne Silver. At first, I was a bit thrown off by the term "genetically enhanced" and I thought the soldiers weren't human. Eventually, I understood the concept and everything was like an adventure since then.

Although the main characters were Adam and Loren, I was instantly hooked by Xander. Something about him was so intriguing, but I would have to wait and read his book later.

I loved the humor. It felt like a light read, but with the intensity of a romantic suspense. Does that make sense? Basically, it's my perfect book. Adam and Loren couldn't keep their hands off each other, and to be fair, I didn't want them to ;)

I loved the strength that the program represented, but also the mystery. What woman could resist that? It's hard to explain without spoiling the book, so you'll just have to take my word for it. This book is brilliant and will keep you reading until you reach the end.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I look forward to reading more by her. I'm a medical lab technologist so when I saw that this was about genetics, I was really intrigued. It's was different. All other genetically enhanced reads I've read were more on the lines of paranormal romance but this was made to seem more real. I loved it and can't say enough about it. Plus, who can resist a soldier?!

Intriguing start…

The beautiful cover and the author caught my attention right away. This story had an intriguing plot – secret program where soldier’s DNA was being altered to produce super soldiers for the good of the country. Enter a feisty journalist and anything could happen…

And it sure did… Sooo much. I actually have false-started this read a number of times, trying to find a reading groove. Good guys, oh so bad guys. Romantic entanglements. Surprise family. Surprise… so much! In fact, so much, that it seemed too much at times. I love a busy storyline – keeping up with it all is half the fun – yet I felt pulled in many directions here. Perhaps just a few too many…

A slightly shaky start but I admit I’m curious where this is going. I’m hoping it was just not the right time to pick up this book because this series has all the elements to be stellar… I will read the next for sure with nervous anticipation…

*I happily reviewed this story

Genetically enhanced soldiers? Check. The ability to know your mate immediately? Check. A storyline that's guaranteed to keep me reading for several installments? Check.

I really liked this foray into The Program and the way its soldiers match with their mates. It was hot and sweet and kept me on my toes. I was excited to see how everything was going to pan out and how Adam and Loren were going to make it work, since they were both pretty strongly opposed to being matched. I'm also very excited about how Chase and Gavin are going to do now that it seems they've met their matches.

This is a good series and an enjoyable premise. Will definitely keep reading.

Loren is a journalist sent to cover a party and while she was there the birthday boy was kidnapped even though there was a special forces detail there. She is attracted to one of the special detail guys. She is connected to the program with enhanced soldiers and doesn't realize it until she meets Adam and her brother she didn't know about. There is a lot of secret siblings and connections. The group is trying to shutdown an enhanced baby making group with an insider that is trying to stop them from finding out the truth. Adam doesn't want to be matched to Loren because he is afraid of having a child that is not perfect like his brother Rowan. Action and romance filled book.

I admit I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did. I've started new series and been greatly disappointed but I figured I would get it while it was free and read it whenever. I started and finished it in the same day! I didn't want to put it down. While there were some plot holes (like how these mentally and physically superior soldiers were deceived for over 27 years!) I still was able to enjoy this book; I even might continue reading the series just to see how everything's going. The only thing stopping me from doing 5 stars is the plot holes. I just couldn't get over them.

A copy of this book was provided by the publisher for an honest review at Seductive Musings.

Lynne Silver’s Coded For Love series tells the stories of men who were genetically bred by the US Government in a secret program designed to create unstoppable warriors who would only be able to mate successfully with the women who were their perfect genetic counterparts. The Program has continued in secret for decades and it’s only recently that the public has become aware of what’s been going on, thanks to a Program wife who leaked the story to an outside source. At the same time, there are various groups both here and abroad who are trying to kidnap any one of the men for their own evil experiments. This sets up the compelling plotlines and intense romances which follow in each book.

Heated Match starts the Coded For Love series off with a sequence of incredibly intense scenes as two people who’ve never met before discover they are each other’s perfect genetic match. Adam is supposed to be protecting a diplomat’s infant son from being kidnapped at the boy’s high profile 1st birthday party. As one of the highest performing “super soldiers” in the Program, he should be focused on his task, yet there’s a woman there who has got him more sexually aroused than he’s been in years. Loren has crashed the birthday party in the hope of discovering more information about the Program, but there’s something about one of the bodyguards that has her thinking more about sex than getting the scoop for her story. When the diplomat’s son is kidnapped, the resulting investigation exposes Loren’s familial connection to the Program, and its leaders’ machinations work to bring Loren and Adam together to fulfill the genetic destiny neither of them is ready to embrace. What no one realizes is that the Program and all its participants are in mortal danger from someone in their midst who has been betraying them for years.

The Program that Lynne Silver has created in this series reminded me of Lora Leigh’s Breeds series, but not in a derivative way. We have the “fated mates” setup to bring Adam and Loren together, and the prerequisite secret family affiliations that neither of them had known existed before they met. During this initial story we discover much of the plotting and betrayals that had occurred during the creation of the Program, and they lead us to the moment where everyone’s future depends on finding the diplomat’s kidnapped son. As passionate as the scenes were between Adam and Loren, the suspense elements of the plot often threatened to overwhelm my enjoyment of their destined romance. I wanted more of them, and less kidnappings and torture, but the overall story arc was captivating enough that I would definitely be reading the next book in the series.

The a danger from his past resurfaces Loren insist on putting herself in danger by helping him. Adam knows Loren is for him, but can he keep them alive long enough to have a future together.

To start off I have to agree with Erica C.'s review that it is similar to Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker Series, but since I love that series and devour each book as it hits the bookstores I was looking forward to reading Heated Match. After reading I agree to similarities, but each stands as unique in their own rights. The characters both main and minor supporting characters are well done and I look forward to reading many of their stories. The plot is well done and thought out. You will be drawn into the story from the start. It is fast paced for a first novel of a series considering that it has to not only set up the characters and focus of the series. So much about this book will appeal to a reader. If you enjoy suspense romance or military themed romances then this is a definite must read to look into. My rating is 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

Loren is desperately trying to make a name for herself in the journalism community, yet she continues to get assigned boring stories. One night like every other, she is assigned to report on a celebrity child's first birthday party. While she is there, she meets Adam and the attraction between them is like nothing she has ever experienced before.. It is to the point where the intensity scares her so bad that she leaves the event completely missing the incredible story of the young child being kidnapped at the very event she was supposed to be covering. Determined to get her career back, she decides to take on The Program hoping to get an inside scoop.

Adam is being pressured by his father to submit to testing so they can find his genetic match which the program believes determines who will marry and produce children. Adam is dead set against being matched and has no desire to get married and have children of his own. His reasons are stemmed deep in his childhood which he keeps hidden from everyone.

Loren is offered the chance of a lifetime, in exchange for a story she agrees to move on campus and spend time alone with Adam after it is quickly revealed that she is his genetic match.

This is an action packed love story that barely crosses into the realm of science fiction. This is not a story line I typically read, however I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it nonetheless. I loved how patient Loren was with Adam while still standing her ground as to what she wants in her future (children). It took awhile for Adam to open up and for the real reason for his hesitation to be revealed.

Loren is a journalist when she is covering the first birthday of an ambassadors son she meet Adam. Adam is an genetically enhanced soldier and from the first time Adam sees Loren he had to touch her be with her but he is on the job he is security at the party. When they dance/touch things turn lava hot. there is no problem Adam doesn't want a mate he don't want kids. They both fight mutually attraction for each other but cant seem to stay away.

I love Loren she is strong even when hurt by Adam and his careless comments and actions. Adam is tough but has a soft center half the battle for Loren was to get Adam to see that she is worth being with him and that there is nothing wrong with him. At times in this book i really wanted to kick Adams ass and i would have loved if Loren's brother would have punched him once JUST ONCE and i would have been happy. Adam new he was hurting Loren and he did care but he cant let go of his pride so he keeps hurting her AND she takes it she might get outraged but she takes it all the same. In the end she helps him with all of his past pain.

I wish Loren would have kick Adams ass once because of all of the pain he put her through. Chase Loren's brother i think could have acted a little different he acts like a big brother but its like he picks his friends over her. I get that they are his family too but I think he should have shown more caring when it comes to Loren.

I cant wait to get my hands on the next book and find out what happens next

Excellent Read --- I loved the series. Each book focus on a new story line but still incorporate enough details about characters from prior books in the series so that you feel like you care still following those characters as well. Lynne Silver does an amazing job with this series.
Book one introduces readers to “The Program”, the main theme that the entire series is built around. This is a secret military unit on elite soldiers who are genetically enhanced. The soldiers featured are the first line of soldiers from this program. They grew up together and are truly a unit. The one hang up for most of the soldiers is the matching program. Most do not want to be “matched” to a mate. Each one has their own reasons – ie: birth defects, broken homes, etc.
Adam, an enhanced solider, meets Laruen while working a private security job. A child is abducted during this mission and the soldiers are focused on figuring out what went wrong. Lauren, a journalist, hoping to advance her career is also just as interested in figuring out where the missing baby is. When Lauren ends up at the compound others notice that the two have an undeniable chemistry and it is determined that they are a “MATCH”. While both trying to uncover the truth behind the missing child, Adam is also taken against his will. Can Lauren and the team figure out where he is and save him in time and if so will Lauren and Adam agree to be Matched?

I enjoyed Heated Match it has a great storyline full of suspense, intrigue and romance. I look forward to reading more stories by this author.

Loren Stanton is a journalist for the post, her latest assignment is to cover the first birthday party for the son of one of the cities elite.

Adam Blacker is part of a genetically enhance group of soldier. With the recent revelation of their kind Adam and his team have fallen under scrutiny and they have a very public light on them they did not need or want.

When Adam and his team are on their latest assignment nothing goes as planned. Adam is distracted, drawn to woman hiding in the shadows and when a threat is misread and a child was kidnapped it will start a chain of event that could end them all. Now with the team under pressure to find the child the last thing they need is a journalist showing up at their base but Loren is determined to do whatever it takes to find out the truth however she will soon get more than she bargained for. Not only is she Adam’s match she is also the sister of one of his team. Adam doesn’t want or need a partner but when Loren is convinced to stay it will get harder to keep her away. As the unit gets closer to solving the case they will need to watch their backs as the real threat is closer than any of them realises. Can Adam and his team find the answers before it is too late and when the dust settles where will it leave Adam and Loren.

Marie's Tempting Reads Netgalley ARC Review:

Lynne Silver is a "new to me" author, and I have to admit Coded For Love is wonderfully written! This book reminded me a bit of Rebecca Zanetti's Sin Brother series and Mina Carter's Project Rebellion: SARA series! And since these type of stories and interesting characters don't come around often, I knew I had to give Lynne Silver a try with Heated Match.

Heated Match had a tension and sizzling, heated passion that was undeniable and sexy as all get out! And the type of organization that these enhanced soldiers were a part of, was intriguing as well. Danger around corners, enhanced gifts that sometimes can boggle the mind and the breeding program the organization wants, added to the elements of the story, which in turn, made it a seriously good read!

Adam and Loren had a connection that was incredible to witness! I loved how there seemed to be a force that had them attracted and drawn to the other. And when Loren is in danger, Adam shows his soldier side and his abilities become much more honed. There is so much to like about this book. The characters are intriguing and the romance draws you in while the action and danger has your heart thumping in your chest. Heated Match gets a FIERY FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its too good to give it anything less.

This book was given to me by the author for an honest review. I had previously read the original and enjoyed it, but I have to say the new updated version is much better. It has more depth to the characters and better detail in the action. It also helps that it is written in the current time and not a few years ago.

Loren accidentally meets Adam at an event that she is suppose to write an article for. Both are extremely attracted to the other, yet neither understands why the pull is so strong. They really don’t expect to see the each other again, but due to circumstances Loren ends up with Adam rushing to her rescue. Not to give away too much of the story, but they fight against science and outside forces that are pushing them together.

Adam feels he shouldn’t be a husband because he believes his genes are messed up and his children will be deformed. Loren doesn’t like the idea of being forced into a relationship because someone is telling her Adam is her perfect match. What they don’t expect is the way they start to feel for each other. The sexual draw is compelling and almost impossible to ignore, but when their hearts become involved, they must decide whether to take a chance or to try to ignore their feelings.

***I received a copy of this book via Net Galley in exchange for a honest review***

Adam Stanton is part of a government enhanced soldiers but the secret group is now out due to one of its former members wives telling everyone who and what these group of soldiers are. Loren meets Adam at a reception where he is doing bodyguard duty for a baby's first birthday. When the baby is kidnapped, both Adam and Loren go on a hunt to find the baby and find out there is a more darker sinister factor behind the kidnapping.

Loren Silver is a journalist who knows of the group because her half sibling is one of the soldiers. But when she is asked to do a story about them, she has to first get into their compound. Little does she know that Adam is her perfect match. But he doesn't want marriage and most definitely no children. But when they fight their attraction, it only becomes harder.

There is a mole within the group who is disgruntled , kidnapped babies from a fertility clinic in London, a very hot love story and yes there is a happy ending. I enjoyed the book as it was something different from the usual genetically enhanced soldier. There are romance, suspense, humor, as well as surprises. But all in all it was a good book and currently a six book series.

Super soldier meets journalist.

An organization called ' The Program', a group of genetically enhanced super soldiers have been top secret for 50yrs, until recently. Member and team leader, Adam Blacker, and colleague are on bodyguard duty of an ambassadors infant son at his 1st birthday. Also at the party is journalist, Loren Stanton. When the two meet there's an unusual, magnetic attraction which gets her running. Not until later does she realize that the child has been kidnapped and the hot guy she ran from is a lot more than meets the eye.
As the title suggests, there's a heated match between the two leads, DNA mapping, pairing and pheromones are strong but nevertheless he's hot and cold towards her all the way through for personal reasons, there's plenty of sex scenes though but they feel very dispassionate.
The 'romance' led the majority of the storyline but there's a deeper tale that spans decades with lies and betrayal.
Not a bad read, I did expect more of a 'super' soldier though, they are fast and strong but how 'super' can they be when they had a traitor in their midst and didn't know???!!!
A full book, other members have their own stories, found it free.
