Eeroa koetellaan. Ukki painostaa tuomaan tyttöystävän näytille. Kanerva on kasvanut pituutta, eikä se halua enää leikkiä. Miten ennen niin läheinen ystävä voi olla nykyään niin kaukainen? Kaiken lisäksi sillä on tissit.
Taiteen maisteri Petteri Tikkanen (s. 1975) on tehnyt sarjakuvia ja kuvituksia ammatikseen vuodesta 1996. Hänet on palkittu töistään useaan otteeseen. Kanervasarjan aiemmat osat ovat Kanerva - Lapsellisia kertomuksia, Kanerva ja yks juttu sekä Kanerva ja kirottu lokki. Eerossa näkökulma vaihtuu: Kanerva antaa tilaa toisen sukupuolen edustajalle.

This is obviously autobiographical or heavily based-on. The end of the third book, which was definitely the longest, so well orchestrates him hearing one of life's SERIOUS eye-openers, from his grandfather whose scenes were my favorite, that ideally leads up to the final book of his army service. I wish I could tell my stories in his fashion of art that speaks- he's so great at saying so much with so few words!

I'm a huge fan who acquires all of his that I can- he has mastered his form of beautiful simplicity within well calibrated atmospheres that capture emotion with the help of his simple yet effective mono-coloring. I appreciate when a creator is aware that they aren't a professional colorist and works with what they do well.
He also succeeded, with the way he renders her so affectionately, to give me a reminiscently teen crush on Kanerva who he now "has it baaad for". She was a funny girl character in the first two of his that I read, their protagonism swapped as with the titles, then she's all of a sudden finishing girlhood throughout these four as he yearns and I thought of how I felt in his place. As I enter barberhood, I still cannot figure the how of Kanerva's hair, always in that shape you see on the cover, but I love the look of it anyway.

Hyvin nopea ja kevytlukuinen. Ruutujako on sulavaa ja hahmot tuntuvat alusta alkaen tutuilta ja toimivilta vailla ankukankeutta tai tuntemattomuuden tuntua, vaikka tämä olikin ensimmäinen osa sarjasta, jonka luin. Tikkasen tyyli on todella elävää ja siinä on yksinkertaisuudestaan huolimatta paljon yksityiskohtia.

Kanerva-sarjakuvia en ole aiemmin lukenut, mutta silti tykkäsin kovasti tästä ja seuraavasta osasta nimeltä Mopo. Murrosiän alkua kuvattiin herkkyydellä ja todellisuus muistaen ja piirrostyyli sulatti sydämeni!

September 26, 2025The art style was stunning and I enjoyed the storytelling of this Finnish coming of age graphic novel. I would have loved for it to go even more in-depth.

Se oli hyvä, mutta en silti pitänyt siitä. Ristiriitaista, mutta voisin silti suositella muille lukijoille - Lyhyt, helppolukuinen ja miellyttävä piirtotyyli. Itse samaistun lopussa Kanervaan sen verran vahvasti, että suorastaan luokkaannuin itsekin Eeron touhuista. Mutta teos kuvastaa hyvin nuoruuden herkkyyttä.

Kirja tarttui käteeni kirjastossa ja luin sen nopeasti siellä ollessa. Pidin kovasti piirrustus tyylistä ja väreistä. Ja Eero oli niin sympaattinen kaveri, kuten kirjassa muutkin esiintyvät henkilöt. En tiedä onko Eerosta muita tarinoita, mutta olisi hauska nähdä ja tustua lisää Eeroon.
