Dr. Roberta Woodward thinks her first day at River Round Mental is going to be just like her old job, until one of her patients tells her he isn’t human.
Fantastical delusions are nothing unusual in Roberta’s line of work. But what she doesn’t expect is Troy Mitchell and his claims of being something else… or her own desire to believe him, and for him.
Then Troy mysteriously disappears from the institution, showing up on her doorstep days later, half dead and in need of her help. He tells Roberta she can restore him back to his non-human self. If Troy really is what he claims, the procedure won't be a problem... but if he isn't, it will kill him.
Believing in Troy means that Roberta may have to admit that she just may be a little crazy herself. Not believing in him may lose her the man she's falling in love with. Helping him may cost her her job, her own life, and everything it means to her to be human...
