After Analynn's surprise attack, Kailah finds herself awake in the Netherworld fighting for her life once again. While there, she discovers disturbing information and is forced to plan a less direct attack to save her family from being placed under Analynn's control.
Worse than a psychopathic spirit risen from the dead, Kailah has learned that she is being pursued by an army of the Forsaken, an evil race of Werewolf forever cursed by Anubis himself and the Mothers, the six incredibly powerful original Immortal women hell bent on taking Kailah, even against her will.
Kailah must now learn all she can and train in order to defend the ones she loves.
My favorite thing about this novella is that it picked up exactly where The Eternal Gift left off! It didn't skip a beat!! I was so sucked into the story that I needed that! :) This is just as fabulous as Crum's The Eternal Gift & a Must Read! It brought out so much passion & so many emotions while making me despise some of the characters that I had previously adored. (Of course one of those I never liked anyway. Ha! She proved to be exactly what I thought she'd become.) Regardless all of them were amazingly written! Even though you hate 'em you'll love 'em as she most definitely meant it to be! ;•) I am freaking out a lil' bit needing to see how it will play out....so I'm off to read the sequel The Eternal Echo right now!!! :)
I love these book! But oh my god they are so frustrating! I know this was just an in between book, but I better get some sort of resolution in the next one. I heart Jacques, and I am so tired of Aeric. Team Jacques!!!!
This book was a Novella. I got to learn more about the characters and their powers. Amazing book. I thought this one was going to have alot of repeat from Book1, but it didn't. It was a Book all on it's own. Some new characters where added. Which made things harder on Kaliah. For one Aerics mate, Analyn comes back and tries to kill Kaliah. No one believes her when she says that Analyn is back to destroy her and the family. Kaliah's family turnes their backs on her. The only one she has to turn to is a werewolf that belongs with Analyn. Without anyone to help her, she has to find herself. Before the war begins and she goes dead again. The author added some of her life touch to the story which put the book on a more personal level. It was a nice touch. Next Book, Please!
OK normally I love these stories and yeah that includes this one for the most part. But this book ended so sharply that it felt rushed. No bank pages info, no book listing... Nothing.
