Chase Matthews dropped everything to move home and take care of his family after his parents died in a tragic car accident. He never thought he would hear from his old life again until he gets a call from his former commanding officer asking for his help to guard his daughter.
Kerri MacGregor didn't have the life that most girls had growing up. While other girls were playing with dolls and learning to wear makeup, she was learning how to shoot guns and wearing camouflage. She never thought escaping a kidnapping would bring her face-to-face with the man that she has had a crush on since she was fourteen.
Chase realizes that Kerri is not the gangly teenager that he first met, and sparks begin to fly between them. Unfortunately, the kidnapper is still out there and wants revenge, and he needs Kerri to get it.
I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and have a degree in mortuary science. I am a single mother of a very active young son and was blessed to be able to take off work and become a stay at home mom when he was born. When I am not driving him to soccer, karate or one of the many activities that he participates in, you can find me curled up reading a romance novel, watching a movie, or writing. I have been writing short stories since I was in elementary school, but only recently decided to try and have one of my full length novels published. Submitting one of my stories to be published is a goal that I thought I would never have to guts to achieve, but now that I have, I hope there are many more to come.

Chase Matthews has always stepped up when he is needed, when his parents died he dropped everything and came home to help raise his family. Now his former commanding officer needs a favor, protect his daughter.
Chase wasn't prepared though for the overwhelming sense of protectiveness he feels the second he gets a glimpse at the injured woman before him. He knows one thing though, trust his instinct which is telling him, he just met his forever.
Second book in the series, this was a good sequel you get to pick up where the Matthews family left off. Definitely had some openings for a couple of sequels. A little rushed, but overall a fun read.
I'd like to give it more. But it was boring. I loved the she was not a pushover. She was a fighter. I loved the hero or heroes in this one. And I loved the chemistry between these two. But it was still boring.
