Takako Shimura (native name: 志村貴子) is a manga artist primarily known for her manga works published in Japan which feature LGBT (especially about lesbian and transgender) topics. Originally from Kanagawa, she now resides in Tokyo.
I'm getting close to the end and I'm really wondering how this is going to go. Shuu is getting more and more comfortable expressing themself as a girl, I think. Takatsuki on the other hand seems to be leaning more towards being nonbinary than just being a man. This series feels so realistic in its portrayals of gender, gender envy, and self acceptance. You get so many perspectives and everyone sees things just a little differently. It's a really good read in that aspect. These kids have grown up so much. I'm wondering if the series will end with them as adults.
the first third of this was as mediocre as the most mediocre bits of wandering son. the final two thirs was utter garbage to the point that I am seriously considering not bothering to keep reading. high school is the worst, duh, and i guess takako couldn't figure out a way to make it not that. (to those sick of my manga reviews, only two more volumes left, or zero if I decide to just throw my hands up and forget it)
