Why I read it : From Deepika Padukone , Sonam Kapoor to Sushmita Sen, big names of Bollywood have left no stone unturned to promote this book. Also, Pooja Makhija was awarded Best Nutritionist at Vogue Beauty Awards 2012.
My experience: This book didn't add any new feathers to my preobtained knowledge. Anybody who has read Rujuta Diwekar's books , can skim through this one in 30 minutes. I wish there were more extensive meal/snack ideas and healthy recipes. Fortunately, a food journal came along with it. So, this stationaryholic is happy even after "deleting" the book :P

Good ideas but would have liked it to give more specific options of the types of food applying to the concepts. Otherwise it's quite limited.

First half of the book is great but unfortunately second half of the book is 20th century based science.

An enlightening read . .This book taught me the ABC of eating right and staying healthy , but implementing is always a different scene altogether , LOL !
Though its a book on nutrition, with every page power-packed with gyan and inspiration, it never ceased to interest me. It is obvious that many of the facts were obvious and known but it is also true that a major amount of the content was brimming with facts unknown or re-establishing the facts that have been overwritten with conclusions of the research and studies of the present.
Undoubtedly , there has been repetitions of content but I feel that it was very much necessary to feed the correct idea into the readers' brains. The author, in this book has explained about various diets and mentioned a lot of her methods with addition of some of her client's own success stories .
And , finally she does the unusual, she provides a ready to follow diet-plan based on your BMR, which she makes you calculate in the book.A list of food to eat and to avoid from world-cuisines, is also provided towards the end of the book, so that we ourselves are self-sufficient in deciding what choices to make while travelling or planning for a dinner party in a restaurant.
I am very much satisfied with this book, everything right from the content to the presentation was perfect. A must read for everyone , trying to stay healthy while not starving ones self.

This book is incomplete as a diet or nutrition book. Nothing new and basic concepts about components of food are not explained properly. Better if first you read rujuta diwekar's "Don't lose you mind lose weight".
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

This book does not address all the aspects of weight loss program. It just concentrates on the food that we take and most often it exaggerates the amount of focus we should put on food.
