Shelly is still waiting to start on her own commercial kitchen, when her son runs into her knee and she is laid up for a month. Her mother-in-law come to help her out making for some tense moments. Her husband still isn’t working. Beverly is still commuting for work and has a near miss with a hit and run driver. A light flashing at the lighthouse saves her. Margaret gets to attend a lecture of a painter who influenced her work but is unhappy to learn that the woman has lost the spark to paint. There are rumors that the lighthouse will be sold to developers so Diane decide to get it declared a historic landmark and all 4 friends learn interesting things about the lighthouse.

Another very good book in the Miracles of Marble Cove cozy mystery series. I enjoyed it a lot. One thing I like about this series is that there are four main characters of different ages and life situations. I think it should appeal to everyone who likes cozy mysteries, because it is so easy to relate to at least one of the women.

This series appeals to me because of the age range of the characters. There is someone to that everyone can relate to and that always makes a story more interesting. The ladies continue to research the history of the lighthouse and restore it. They face the daily trials of home, work and family well researching. A great read on a wintry day.

The story was ok, but it is 8 in a series, so I had a little trouble with all the characters. Very light reading.

#8 in the Miracles of Marble Cove series--Shelley is laid up with a bum knee and learns to get along with her mother-in-law. Diane can't seem to write her next book, but digs up information on the Lighthouse and the mysterious light to produce a history of the lighthouse and miracles. Margaret encourages and helps a women who paintings inspired Margaret to paint. Beverly sees the light and believes.

Diane, Margaret, Shelly and Beverly are at it again. The ladies are great friends, love a mystery, and their age differences do not matter. They support and compliment each other and they love their little town of Marble Cove, Maine. I feel as if I know these ladies personally and love spending a few moments each day getting lost in their lives and adventures.

This is the eighth book in the Guidepost series Miracle of Marble Cove. This is an excellent series, very low key with a touch of cozy mystery. I have really enjoyed this series.
