Sara's Sleep

Rate this book
Can dreams be premonitions? Up until now, Sara had lived a comfortable, uneventful life with her husband Mark. Empty nesters, she and Mark had grown apart over the years. One night brought a knock on the door, with two officers delivering shocking news. Sara?s world would never be the same again. Tragedy thrust Sara into a spiral of depression, self-destruction and horrific nightmares from which she could not return on her own. Jenny, Sara?s daughter, moved back home to help, but brought a whole new set of dilemmas for the family to face. Old relationships resurfaced, and friendships, old and new, became complicated. Would Sara and Jenny be able to overcome the endless obstacles together, or would the burdens that plagued each woman keep them from ever finding true balance in their lives?

A mother, daughter relationship. Mother is suddenly a widow and can't adapt to her new life. Daughter is pregnant and has to deal with being a single mother and the older father of baby wanting in his life. Good characters and mother shows intellegence in dealing with problems. Old story line with a considerate handling of problems.

With her first book, Terri Sonoda masterfully holds the reader riveted throughout this novella. When Sara loses her husband to a car accident, she becomes plagued by vivid nightmares. Are they the workings of her subconscious, or predictions of things to come.

Ever chapter made me want to read more. This is an easy and fast read, but powerful.

Sara's husband is killed in an accident and then starts having terrifying nightmares that seem all too real regarding her daughter Jenny, her neighbor Steve and herself. Quick read.
