Kallos is a shy sixteen year old girl unready to face the world, but when she meets Ian and Sean Hunter the world will open up for her. Secrets revealed are toо much to bear and her past life as a goddess, unimaginable. A visit from the goddess Aphrodite, Kallos is told her soul mate must be found or her life will be forfeit. Kallos desperate to find her one true match has discovered she may have two possibilities. Kallos has a choice to make and her decisions may have life ending consequences.
Khelsey hails from the Sunshine State (California) but moved to Minnesota when she was 11 years old. Her grandmother raised her and her brother. When she was 18 she did what any sane teen would do and moved to the city of sin, Las Vegas NV. There she met her handsome husband and the rest is history. She loves to read, and will read almost anything guess when you have read just about everything, the only next logical step is to write
I was graciously given Kallos to read, by the author. First of all, this book was totally different than anything I’ve read so far. Imagine a girl, who is supposed to be the reincarnation of a beautiful goddess, and two boys (part reincarnated-gods, but another part of them is something different. Something totally unexpected.) Got you wondering??? Kallos is a sixteen-year-old girl who recently moves with her parents to a new town. She soon starts experiencing unexplainable things, and begins to find out deep secrets about her true self. At her new school, she runs into two, very handsome boys. Both brothers, both opposites, and they seem to know exactly what she’s going through, and exactly who she is, even though she’s never met them. One of those boys is her soul mate, and she will have to choose. But as she gets closer to each one of them, she doesn’t see how she could ever choose one over the other. Kallos had me turning pages. It kept me guessing, kept me awake, and in the end…left me wanting more!
I was fortunate enough to be asked to do the first proofreading/editing of Kallos. I was really impressed! Kallos is not my favorite genre', yet I had trouble putting it down once I started. I was drawn into the plot, characters, and back story completely! Khelsey did an extraordinary job weaving all of these together and peaked my interest from the very first chapter. I recommend Kallos as a "got to read" book, especially to those who read this genre', but even to those, like me, who normally don't. Definitely a great read that will leave you hungry to devour book two of the Kallos series! Enjoy in January!
I admit freely that I am not a fan of this genre of books. Those involving demons, fallen angels,Gods & Goddesses. But,I was pleasantly surprised by the story-line of Kallos. The normal belief is that people are reincarnated at birth, but Khelsey Jackson explores a different approach and has her heroine go through, what she terms, the Change,in her teenage years. Then,if she survives, becoming the reincarnated Goddess,Aphrodite. Interesting.Very.The book starts out slow, but the conversation exchanges between Kallos, the otherworldly Goddess & Gods and the character interaction is lively, entertaining and engages the reader, drawing you in and leaving you wanting more. All in all,a great debut novel for Ms. Jackson. Triumph!
My review for: Kallos by Khelsey Jackson My rating: 5 out of 5 stars Shanna Roberson
Wow. Just wow. I couldn’t put this book down! Khelsey Jackson’s unique approach to Greek mythology had me craving more long after I finished it.
Kallos is a meek 16 year old girl just trying to fit in. She isn’t sure of her place in this world until she meets two brothers, Sean and Ian Hunter. And the pain starts, a blinding, soul ripping pain that threats her very existence. With ancient family secrets coming into play, Kallos is thrust into a destiny she isn’t sure she can fulfill. And with two soul mates, vying for her affection and a very painful deification, how will she choose when each has a part of her heart?
I loved Kallos! The story its self is fast paced and impossible to put down. This is my first time reading Khelsey Jackson, but it won’t be the last! I found myself wanting to read the two prequels to this series throughout Kallos and they are next on my list. Khelsey Jackson’s ability to create wicked chemistry between the characters without pushing the boundaries of YA is a talent in and of itself. Well thought out characters and swoon-worthy boys mixing with an incredible heroine; just an amazing series and ending! She definitely leaves you begging for more. Can’t wait to continue Kallos’ journey…(hint, hint)
OMG!!!!! This book was absolutely brilliant from start to finish I was gripped, please tell me that there is a second book and when I can expect to be able to read it? This is a definite most for any reader!!!!!!!!!
"Kallos" was absolutely amazing and I loved it. I could not put it down and I was smiling so much my face actually hurt. You will instantly fall in love with Sean and Ian. Gods Apollo and Ares have already been reincarnated into a Sean & Ian. Sean & Ian have been around for a while and have been through a lot. Both boys have watched reincarnations of Aphrodite die because they could not survive the change. Aphrodite is given another chance to be reincarnated in Kallos; but will Kallos be able to survive the change. The process is very painful and no one has ever been strong enough to survived it. There is a way for Kallos to ease some of the pain but she must find her soul mate. How does she know who her soul mate is when they have just moved to a new place and she doesn't know anyone. Will she be able to find her soul mate in time or will it be too late? Sean & Ian knows who Kallos is; they have waited 16 years for her and knows the pain she has to go through in order to change. Can one of them be her soul mate? This book has many twists in it. What if she has not one but two soul mates? As Kallos tries to figure out who her true soul mate is, will she still be able to deal with the everyday teenager life? Can she also deal with school and the ex-girlfriends of Sean & Ian who doesn't believe Kallos is good enough for the boys. What happens when a guy name Brandon comes into the picture and see Kallos as a prize to be won? Is Brandon everything he seems to be or is there more? Will Sean & Ian be able to help Kallos survive the change or will they be distracted by outside sources? This book was truly a fantastic read for me and I look forward to reading more books in this series. Even though it is not required to understand what is going on in the book, I reccomend everyone reading the prequels to the book which are "Acidalian" and "Sean & Ian". The two prequels are not necessary but they will give you insight into Sean & Ians life before Kallos. Both books are short but also fantastic reads.
This book was crap. I feel kind of ridiculous writing a bad review for a book that an author was courageous enough to put out there, but I really thought it wasn't good.
The style of writing was weird and choppy, and the point of view/perspective was awkward. Secondly, this book was either very poorly edited or not edited at all. There were *so* many commas that should have been there that weren't. There were wrong words, words missing letters, words left out. And this was every single page. Most times I am more than willing to overlook a few typographical errors for a good story.
But that's just it! There weren't just a few errors, they were everywhere. And the story? Eh. I found it kind of creepy, honestly. One girl loving two guys equally and not just that, not infatuation, "loves of my life" type shit. And they were bothers. It was weird. Not my thing, I guess. So all of this combined, I found myself forcing myself through each and every paragraph nearly cringing at the choppy style of writing, the typos and the weird content. I gave up about half-way through. Not something I normally do, in fact I hate doing it because I feel that I'm not giving the book a fair shake. But I didn't like the author, and I'm certain I won't be buying her books in the future.
I did notice a couple of positive things though. The characters are well thought out and I can see all of the emotion she puts behind them. Also, the cover is gorgeous, truly. However, none of that inclines me to elevate my rating. I didn't like the book, and I wouldn't recommend it.
I also want to add, that given the glaring number of typographical errors, anyone who is a true honest reviewer would deduct, at the very least, a single star for that alone. They may have loved the story, the plot and the style (even though I found it unimpressive), but this book was clearly not professionally edited. It shows. On every page. It's not something you overlook.
I love self-pubbed indie authors. Love them. But indie authors have to be professional too.
Hea y'all Carly here to hand out my review to Khelsey Jackson and her book Kallos.. Well what an amazing and fast read, from page one you're pulled right into a fast paced and exciting story of young Kallos and her journey to become a reincarnated goddess. She is new in town and her father is the principal of the high school she will attend. How much worse can a new year in a new place start off? Kallos has no idea what awaits her in the coming weeks! Enter Ian and Sean Hunter, young, vibrant, competative, and the hottest guys in school. They have everything they want until they see Kallos, she must be theirs, but which will have her? A rivalry older than time begins for Kallos's affections and she has no idea how to handle the boys or the intense physical and emotional feelings they provoke from her. The Goddess Aphrodite is coming back but will her host be strong enough to support the soul that has been waiting for an eternity to walk the earth again. No other girl has survivied and the Gods Ares and Apollo anxiously await their goddess to return. Khelsey has done an emaculate job in creating a world from everyday and yet kept an old world style and romance alive via her characters. The story never stalls out or lacks for exciting moments and intense emotions from all the characters. Blending old world gods into new world teenagers is quite the accomplishment and I applaud Khelsey for doing it with grace and beauty and opening a world to younger generations that sooner or later will be lost to new beliefs and new gods. The romance is intense but yet never leaves the realm of innocense allowing the characters to nuture and develope a more deep and lasting realtionship. I can't wait for more to see where Kallos goes and who goes with her, Sean, Ian, or both!! 5 out of 5 stars for Kallos by Khelsey Jackson!!!
I was given this book from the author for an honest review

The Review OMG, I couldn’t put this book down, I really loved the short novella and was really looking forward to this one so much, it did not fail to impress me, it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea as there are God’s and Goddess’s in it, but I love me some Greek God’s, yum yum, anyway back to the review, I got so engrossed in this one, from start to finish and whoa, what an ending, does this mean she found her true soul mate, or is there more, Please say there is more, I want to keep reading this series, Come on Khelsey, she has 3 years until graduation, there has to be more , Please, Don’t let her give up on him, I loved the storyline, re-incarnation, you can’t go wrong with it in my mind, I loved that Dalia was mentioned, it made me reminisce to the short novella, which made me get all choked up, which then made me feel Sorry for the boys again, until Ian started going off the rails abit, I thought she ended up with some great powers, which really came in handy, I adore a good love story and this is a great triangle, Thankyou, I will 100% be recommending this to everyone I know, I may even give it to my daughter to read as I would say this could be a YA novel, she will love it, 5.5/5
Okay first let me say Kallos a very interesting read for me. It has a love triangle like no other, there is references to the greek gods and goddess. Kallos is suppose to become the reincarnation of the goddess Aphrodite, she finds this out after she turns sixteen. She is the new girl in town, her father is the principal of the school she will be attending. From the first day everything is a bit different and a bit strange. In learning this she also finds out that she has a soul mate not one but TWO! Wow! But who will she pick? I find myself going for Sean and rooting for him as he is always so sweet, and I love how he always calls her Babe. Now Ian Sean's brother I thought he was all sweet at first but then he started acting a bit weird (which you find out why later on) but then towards the end you wonder about him truly. Kallos ends up with some pretty cool powers and maybe more as the story goes on. We will just have to see. The way the author has it where Kallos goes through the change of being reincarnated as a teenager instead of being born reincarnated that was really great. The ending has you wondering who will Kallos pick?
Now the reason I have this book 4 stars is because on more than one account there was a mix up with names and I believe that those should have been caught. Along with the spelling errors that would pop up every now and then not very often. Other than that it was a really good read, I do hope to read more from this author in the future and would recommend this book to the YA and up.
Kallos is a 16 year old girl, starting at a new school, worrying about fitting in. She has never been kissed, never had a boyfriend. She is just a normal 16 year old, right? Wrong!
Kallos finds her world totally rocked as she discovers she is a reincarnation of the goddess Aphrodite.
Aphrodite appears to Kallos in dreams. She explains to her that the 2 boys she meets on her first day, Ian and Sean Hunter, are descended from the gods Apollo and Ares. One of these boys is her soulmate, and Kallos must find out which one it is in order to survive.
Ian is the quiet brother, although he does have a darker side which shows later in the story. Sean is the typical bad boy, with an eye for the ladies.
Life, it appears, is not going to go so easily for any of those involved.
In having to choose only one, Kallos knows that she must break the heart of the other. It is not going to be an easy choice, and life conspires against Kallos to make that decision even harder than she ever imagined.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It is a coming of age story with a difference. And the ending? OMG I cannot wait for the sequel now to find out what the author has in store for Kallos, Ian and Sean.
I will admit I do have my favourite between Ian and Sean, but I won't say which! I think every reader will pick their own favourite for themselves.
A great read for a wide age range and I highly recommend it.
Just having moved to a very small town where her dad is to be principal of the high school, teenage Kallos has all the nervousness any girl would. From her first day in school here strange things start happening. Very quickly she starts receiving lots of attention from 2 extremely attractive brothers Ian & Shaun. Before she knows it she has found out more about herself than any young girl should have to. Adopted? A reincarnated Goddess? Soul mates? You can imagine the confusion and frustration Kallos feels. Coming to terms with all the news she has learned, getting to know 2 boys that are her soul mates and dealing with the everyday of high school Kallos is at her wits end. Knowing she must deal with this painful change into a goddess plus someday choose between Ian & Shaun for good, doesn't make life easy.
In all honesty I found this book lacking. I do believe that Khelsey Jackson has the potential to be a great author. I also think this could be a great story. It just didn't come together for me. It was hard for me to get into and I felt that there was a lot of problems such as detail errors and jumping around with time. Through the beginning of the book I was unsure whose point of view the book was in as well. I hate to down a book but I just can't give this one a great review. I do hope to read more from Miss Jackson in the future.
Imaginative story that takes you for a ride into the world of Greek mythology with a modern twist. I was highly impressed by the author’s ability to weave such a fantastic story and create characters I, as the reader, could not help but fall in love with. I enjoyed the plot for it was refreshing and new. The love triangle (yes, I have my favorite between the guy but I choose to keep that a secret) made me want to chew my nails off. The interaction between the main characters was definitely nerve wracking for me at times but I loved the fact that it made go, “Awww,” at times. This is definitely a nice romance, so different, yet similar to other books that are out there. The ending was definitely a shocker because it made me want to know about the story and the characters. I did not want the story to end at all and because I NEED to know what happens next, I’ll definitely be picking the sequel up.
7*s. I recieved an eARC copy directly from the author in return for an honest review. Imagine, that not only do you have to get used to a new school and friends but that your world has been torn upside down from what you are used to. That is what has happened to Kallos, and I just love the name. This is a much different story then I am used to but none the less it flowed nicely and had an awesome plot to it. The characters are strong and seem strange at first, but I loved it. I could feel the emotions that were going through Kallo's mind and I could relate to her. This is a MUST read story for YA/Teens!! Thank you, khelsey, for the chance to read and review this remarkable story of Mythology!!
You know, until I read this book, I've never have read a book based on Gods and Goddesses. I have found that I really like this topic! I can't believe I didn't read this book sooner! If you are a fan of Gods and Goddess's like: Aphrodite, Ares, and Apollo, you will love this book!
Kallos is just an ordinary teenage girl, or so she thought she was. But all that changed after her sixteenth birthday when she met Sean and Ian. Both boys are what she looks for in a boyfriend. And get this, they're both brothers. Ian is the good boy. Sweet, charming, and handsome. He seems to get her and she can't help but falling for him. Now Ian's brother, Sean, is considered to be the bad boy. You know, the one her father or any father wouldn't approve their daughter of dating. But there is more to Sean then meets the eye. He's kind, and compassionate, and, like Ian, he seems to really understand her. Kallos finds herself falling for both brothers. She feels like she knows them from somewhere, but does she really know the brothers? Secrets lurk around, especially around the brothers. Who are Sean and Ian? More importantly, what are they? And is she one of them? Something is different about the boys and Kallos is about to find out. When the goddess Aphrodite herself visits her in her dreams, Kallos will find out something about herself she never dreamed could be true. The problem? According to Aphrodite, Kallos will have to find her soul mate if she wants a chance to live beyond the change she was going to go through. But what if she has two soul mates? Who is her true soul mate? Who will she choose?
I loved this story! It had a fantastic topic that was both unique and different from what I usually read. I loved reading about the Greek Gods and Goddesses in school, so this book is perfect! I loved reading about her, Aphrodite, Sean, Apollo, Ian, and Ares. I loved the plot and the different twists and turns this book had. I can't wait to read the next book! I recommend this book to everyone!
My favorite parts:
“You want to know what I’m thinking.” She gives him a small nod. “Do you know what your name means?” She shakes her head; Sean smiles, “It’s a Greek word for beauty. I know why your parents picked it. You are so beautiful, Kallos. I never thought someone could actually take my breath away and you do.”
“You have to wait; Kallos is taking her shower,” Ian says, and Sean turns to face him. “You know I can join her. We will save water and help the environment.”
“I am sick of hearing that. You don't get it; she’s mine!”
The premise of this book is a one that immediately intrigued me. The idea of the Gods being reincarnated on Earth as present day teenagers, is a fresh new tale to be told. The Goddess Aphrodite has waited and waited, but none of her reincarnations have survived to allow her a new chance to walk the world, until Kallos is born. Hope is igniting with the birth of this beautiful child. Aphrodite and her lovers, Apollo and Aries can only watch and wait to see if Kallos will be the one. Meanwhile Apollo and Aries have reincarnated as the Hunter brothers and patiently wait for Kallos to come into their lives. They know that one of them is her soul mate and that makes life tense for two teen guys, let alone ones that are brothers. The Hunter boys share another secret though, that could change the balance of everything. Presented with a stellar cast and a divine plot, I went into the story with a lot of hope. Overall it is good, and I think the author is definitely on track with the story. There are a few things that nagged at me though... thus, why I am known as the opinionated one. Top issue, editing errors plague the book. Words are incorrect, in the wrong place, and even names are switched at times. These are the things that hurt an author, because the story becomes choppy. Sorry, as an editor myself it is hard to shut that part off when you read. The story is good, and the characters are sharp, unfortunately there are issues that made me stumble at times... the story flows well, and then we hit Kallos's need to describe her clothing in detail, not necessary, actually detracts from the flow. Then you have times that the story rushes and that is frustrating as you as the reader want more. The ending was also incredibly abrupt and confusing. Ultimately I would love to see Jackson dive more deeply into all of her key characters and make sure they have their stories told, I truly felt that we lose out on understanding Ian Hunter the most. I know there are more stories to come in the series and hope that we see more in depth details to the characters with them.
Aphrodite, Apollo and Aries watch from the heavens as the three teens are coming into their own. They are the life embodiment of the three gods. Up to now none of the females born were able to survive but it is hoped that this particular girl will be able to make it. Kallos is that girl. She thinks she is just an ordinary high school girl with parents that are a bit over protective. Then when she starts the new school she meets them the two most gorgeous guys and they both begin to show her a lot of attention. It is making her happy to be at the new school even though her Dad is the principal.
When Kallos learns the secret of who she is she learns that she is about to change into something much more than a regular teen. Sean and Ian are the only two that can help her because they have already survived the change. The thing is that if she survives she has to know which to choose and that is not going to be easy but Aphrodite, herself told her she didn’t have to choose. There are so many changes when you become a teen and Kallos has to face an even bigger challenge she has to become like Aphrodite and she is not sure if she is up to the challenge. She also knows that she doesn’t plan on dying and she doesn’t want to lose Sean or Ian. So much happens that you will have to read it to get the entire story and believe me it is one you will really want to read. Bella Doerres MaEd. 02/09/2013
What a good story Kallos is. I find the storyline to be interesting and fun. It takes the love triangle to a whole new level. I would hate to have more than one soul mate and then have to choose which I wanted to spend all of my days with. I felt so bad for Kallos, Sean and Ian. Khelsey Jackson was able to bring their pain and struggle to life for me. I could just feel the heart ache. Khelsey not only brought the Greek gods and goddess to earth but she gave the guys a little something extra, something to stir up trouble. And someone seems to be sinking into darkness.
This is an adventure worth the trip. Through the twist and turns I found that I was surprised at times by how a situation played out. I found myself taken away into a new and amazing world and I can’t wait to continue the adventure.
Kallos finds out she is one of many Aphrodite reincarnates. The problem is they never make it through the transition to become the goddess, they always die. Kallos never realized this world existed until now. Unfortunately she doesn’t have time to get use to the idea, because she is starting through the transition and the pain is getting worse every day. Aphrodite watches from Mount Olympus hoping that Kallos will be the one, the one to end her cures. With help from the reincarnations of Ares and Apollo, Kallos starts her journey into the unknown. While they both try to win her heart. Will she survive or will she succumb like all the rest?
'I received this book from the author in return of an honest review.' 'Kallos' is a beautiful mythical romance with a modern day twist. I thoroughly enjoyed it. After reading ARCidalphia I was absolutely rooting for one of the main characters in this book. In which are Sean and Ian, two brothers that are the reincarnates of the mythical gods, Aries and Apollo. They have waited sixteen years for their own Aphrodite, in which comes in the form of a beautiful unsuspecting Kallos Dean. I was amazed at the capacity and depth of love that these characters have for each other in such a quick amount of time. Everything they had to go through with and for one another just shows how committed they are to one another and it only draws them closer together. I must say that the more I read, the more I found myself rooting for the other team. I won't tell you who that team is for fear of ruining this wonderful story for you; however, I will tell you it's probably not who you think it is. If you haven't read it yet, go get it now and start reading. You won't regret it! Well done Khelsey Jackson! ~AC Wright (WaAr)~
Okay, so I really, really like the storyline of this book – a YA story based on Greek gods. However, it has been extremely hard to get past the grammar mistakes and the many misspelled words that are seen throughout the entire book. I thought at first it was just a few mistakes but after 65% of the way through, they are still occurring with a frequency that tells me this book was not reviewed or edited properly. I expect a few mistakes in books but there were just too many in this. Also, character names were misused in several locations and it was hard to follow at times.
Overall, the premise of the story line was interesting, as well as how the main players were reincarnations of the gods. I like the interesting love triangle between Kallos, Sean & Ian. The story hints that she will only pick one even though both are her soul mate. Also, as Kallos comes into her powers, I am curious to know how powerful she really will be. The ending of the book was very abrupt. It seems like it just ended without any way to carry over into what I assume will be a next book. I do hope that the next book will be edited better so that I can see where this story ends.
I loved this book. I had to laugh when I looked at the first page because the name of two Gods and a Goddess stood out to me. It's the name of my three corn snakes.. Aphrodite, Ares and Apollo. I knew right then I was going to love the story. And I did!
Kallos is a loveable character who comes across as a normal teenager until she starts a new school and meets two very sexy brothers. Little did we all know that Kallos is much more than a teenager. I will let you read the story to find out just how special she really is.
The two brothers had my heart racing. One is the bad boy all us girls love to hate; yet desire at the same time.. the other one is a charmer... or is he? I love how Khelsey took us all through the story and it was never boring at all. There was drama, love and danger at every corner. You just never knew what would happen. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. Read the story and find out why I say that.
I was given an e-copy ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Wow! This is an emotional self-discovery, coming of age, and first loves story. It is jammed packed full of emotions making it clear as to what each character is feeling at just about any given moment.
The world building is steady and consistent from beginnin to end. Filled with emotions, jealousy, betrayal, insecurities, and adolescence. It reminded of my days in that it is so often a confusing time in life. Heart-felt!
Kallos has a decision to make, one that just may be the undoing of another. Matters of the heart are not to be taken lighty in this unique story. Who will she choose?
I enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading the next installment. I would recommend this story to any reader out there.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book at the beginning. I am not a big fan of Greek Mythology stories but this one has a modern day twist to it. And yes it has a love triangle that involves to brothers. I know many people don't like or are tired of the love triangle thing but I find it make the story more interesting. I got so caught up in the story that when I finally put it down for the night I had read nearly all of it without even realizing it. Our characters grow personality wise.We have the bad boy verses the good guy with the damsel in distress. Kallos tries to be strong and independent but as time goes by,she is in need of help from the boys. Be careful of which brother you pin as the bad boy because they might just surprise you. Of course the author leaves us with a cliffhanger wondering which brother will end up with Kallos. I can't wait to start reading book 2!
I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I do not read books about teens very often, but I do read a wide variety of genres. That being said I do enjoy books with gods, goddesses, angels and the like. This was a very enjoyable book and I liked the characters. I really liked the love triangle as I really enjoy that in a book. I know I am twisted. I am excited to see where the story goes and how the characters grow and develop. I really did not like Nikki or Karissa's characters and I believe that is exactly what Ms. Jackson was going for. The only problem that I really had was how easily Kallos' parents believed who and what she was going to become. They found out from a letter a week after they adopted her and didn't have any other proof. The story could have been a little more developed concerning that. Overall, it was a pleasurable read.
I am loving this author. All her work has earned 5 stars from me. And this story was no different. Khelsey Jackson has a way in making this series of stories sexy and hot while staying in the YA Genre. Her characters are so full of life. In this story a young girl named Kallos' has a tough decision to make. Founding out she is a Goddess and has two soul mates. Kallos' has to pick one. Ian or Sean? They're both sexy and sweet and in love with Kallos'. One has a little more demon in him that he needs to learn to control. Or risk losing the love of his life. I am waiting patently to read how this series is going to end.
This book is YA with all the twist and turns of young love and a search for her soul mate! When I received this book I was hook, line, and sinker! Kallos is such a sweet young girl who wants answers in the ultimate twist on a take of your gods. When given two young men whom have there own twist who do you love and how much can a person take before you fall apart. This is a must read by people of all ages. Kudos to Ms.Khelsey for an awesome book that leaves you wanting more!! I'm ready for book 2! Bring it on!!
I love this book, from the moment I started reading I was intrigued. It honestly caught my attention with Aphrodite, Apollo and Aries right in the forefront. It is a story of time, love and adversity, all put together in a beautiful setting of a small town. A eternal love story that spans all time, Khelsey Jackson has written a tale that grabs and keeps you breathless with anticipation. I cannot wait to have more of Kallos, Sean and Ian.
I have never read a book of Gods or Goddesses before!!! I am in love with this one!!! I never thought they could be so interesting!!! Definitely read this book/series!!! The main characters are Kallos, Sean, & Ian!!! Sean & Ian are Kallos' soulmate!!! & well Sean & Ian are brothers!!! They are all a........... never-mind I'll let you read about that!!! I am jealous of Kallos!!! I'm off to review Kallos' Sorrow!!!
I enjoyed the book...the idea, the characters being reincarnated, etc. I really enjoyed this part of the novel. The editing was rough. Present tense is really difficult for me to read, so that made it confusing at times. I think the author has tons of potential, but she needs more showing and waaaay less telling. I do look forward to the next in this series.
Kallos' story is not an easy easy. She's dealing with a lot in her life - family, boys and school. So the last thing she needs is intervention from Aphrodite, right?
Wrong.
Cue for Ms Jackson to take us on a whirlwind ride, following the ever changing characters, a believable world and a whole host of mythology! I can't wait to read more of the series!
