3.5 star read. This one is a little tricky to rate I think, because there were times that I wanted to smack some sense into both of their heads but I read it in one sitting so that made me give it the .5 star. During the beginning of this story I just kept thinking are they even going to have a HEA? How will it be possible? But they did, I would have liked to have read more about them as a couple though.

I've tried other of this author's books and couldn't really get into any of them and thought they were just lackluster books. The story flowed better in this one and I think the writing was better (also I only saw a couple typos-- Editing/Format though- I really wish the paragraphs had more of a distinguishing mark. You would read one and then move to the next but it would be a totally different scene or POV, so that got to be quite frustrating/confusing)..

I don't typically like novels like this. It dealt a lot with abuse. The heroines husband beat her badly and then her best friend the hero eventually found out and rescued her. It all turned out awesome in the end but the dialogue is pretty graphic and uncomfortable at times.
