As you may infer from my rating, I am deeply interested in this subject, biotech/genetic engineering. How soon is it until we see almost entirely a robotic society? However, the book itself was published a long while ago, if you are thinking in terms of computer science, so quite a few things have happened in this rapidly-evolving field.
This small book describes just a few issues in these fields. I did not finish the book since I researched online the topics that interested me to see what was happening in them specifically, such as biological patenting, and the Supreme Court ruling of Diamond v. Chakrabarty. You have to read on (or research, whichever method gets you more useful information faster) to see how it concludes!
