I don't remember when was the last time when the sequel was better than the original book. Sidharth takes the story forward from where he finished with "The Extra Class" and I must say that his first book was not a fluke at all.

It will take you back once again to the sweet days of school and make you feel why the hell did you grow up! So definitely not for those who love their existing grown up life for sure!

There is this one para in the book which is just so right..." Some people give meaning to your lives. Without them, nothing seems okay. It does not really make sense at all times. And is not supposed to"

You have to read it to believe how foolishly you will fall in love all over again with all the years spent at school!

The story is about a girl, Natasha, who loses everything (name, image, friends, boyfriend) and how she fights back to reclaim it. It's a average story written in simple English. The storyline goes straight without any major twists or turns. No big take aways, nothing much to learn.

Just an ordinary story... basically i missed story telling here.. here a egoistic girl gets the treatment and reborn as a good girl... turn outs is the story are not that sharp.

LOL what the hell, I never thought i would love Natasha, not like person, as a character... LOL LOL LOL... while the first book is about Ananya, second one is about Natasha. GOD! Only I know how much I hated Natasha in first book, but now i feel Natasha is not that quite of a bad person... I am loving this series more... Cant wait to read 3rd and 4th book... I cant understand why everyone are pouring hate comments on it, god, I am feeling like killing them. really, they should study once again the whole series.. i think they didnt understood well IG. this book is quite good, and i loved every part of it. at first the way Natasha wanted to take revenge, and Natasha's backstory... everything is quite heartwhelming.

Its a good one elucidating the high school students psychology. Not americanized nor completely virtual. Good stereotypic and well written.

Why I should read this book is a difficult question to answer; More difficult to answer will be the regular jibes that will prompt out on my desktop commenting: "if 'The Extra Class' wasn't enough, Smit wants to add an extra book to his 'read' shelf too quickly." After reading mind boggling thrillers like 'The Da Vinci Code' or heart touching 'a quiver full of arrows', one needs to take a little bit of rest. But 'rest from reading' is something which I loathe more than myself. So in such course of time, I prefer to read books of such genres. In layman's language, light reading is always necessary.Nobody can continue on with thrillers and heart chillers forever.A bit change of genre or switching to Layman's so called 'light reading' does seem to be an obvious choice. And why should it not be?

Sidharth Oberoi possesses a special charm when it comes to simplicity and lucidity. It is not always important to present the content in a rhetorical way.The simpler, the better.I would always recommend 'The Backbenchers series' as the best one to start with; in fact, the best book for novices.Completing the sequel, my mind as a critic was continuously gathering up the content and was able to brief it far shorter than any book with 200+ pages would provide a gist of.Is it so that the genre of teenage faces paucity of ideas ? There was hardly any change well distinguished from the previous one, except the concept of forgiveness well woven by Oberoi.

If a rotten mango can spoil the lot, why can't a juicy one transform the rotten ones to ripen? Well, if that's not possible in mangoes, it does in Oberoi's teenage fiction. It's just an old convention to bring the villain to defeating edge at the end.

Rarely does it happen that villains transform to heroes, but Oberoi brings that change in this book.Other than the concept of forgiveness, there is nothing that can touch the readers.

Another nice book this one focused more and more on Natasha and was written from her point of view. This was second in "The Backbenchers" Trilogy.

My dream of being a writer is realized and I am now a Goodreads Author. People who don't read generally ask me my reasons for reading. Simply put I just love reading and so to that end I have made it my motto to just Keep on Reading. I love to read everything except for Self Help books but even those once in a while. I read almost all the genres but YA, Fantasy, Biographies are the most. My favorite series is, of course, Harry Potter but then there are many more books that I just adore. I have bookcases filled with books that are waiting to be read so can't stay and spend more time in this review, so remember I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.

I haven't yet read the prequel of the book. But yes, the book is quite engaging. A story woven with short and simple sentences where the protagonist copes up with life even after losing it all I.e her name, fame, position, reputation , love and friendship seems to hold on the reader quite well.
It says..
"Some people give meaning to life. Without them nothing seems ohkay. Life seems useless. It does not really make sense at all times. And it is not supposed to. The matters of the heart are way too twisted. "
All in all, it could be said as a nice experience.

I remember reading this book when i was in college (1st year) I was sitting in my library and going through random books and came across this. It's a read about how the most popular girl is going through emotional turmoil and has decided to end her life with the help of pills but it is saved by a MISSED CALL. she realizes her true friends and those who are not. Its a good one especially the second half. Its a simple story line.

The book was as good as the previous one, "The Extra Class".
In this book the focus is more on the life of Natasha and how she became this bitchy girl.
I loved this book too as much as the earlier one.

This was better than the first edition of the book entirely for teenagers. I needed a smaller book and there it was I had the hope that it would be better than first installment . It offered a philosophical solution that forgive and forget as its message. It continued with Natasha after her disastrous start in senior year of high school and ended on a good note.

The first being pretty interesting , i had high expectations from this one. However my hopes went vain as this book was a big disappointment . Though i loved some parts but the end and the overall story was pretty predictable.

I thought Natasha was too dominating and arrogant, in last few chapters it suddenly changed. Its really a very light read... i felt its kind of short story, not a big plot in it, its simple. My feeling for this book is not a bad read.

the book was nice and a light delight to read. the things finally turn fine for Natasha and so i must say "All's well that ends well". i liked the last paragraph of the book. the happiness of friendship is described in it.and really the habit sharing nature exists in real friendship.

My best friend gave it to me and I read it. It took me an hour to get through it, mainly because there wasn't much in it that needed comprehension. It is a simple, straight story about messed up teenagers. Not at the top of my favorites list, or at the end of it, for that matter.
