A Short Prequel.

This story serves as a history lesson for the Pawan Kor series, of which The Wrath of the White Tigress is the only other out so far. This is more mature material than his other series, more in line with Glenn Cook's Black Company or the Malazan books in tone. It was an interesting read and I hope for more in the future in this series.

This story is a quick, one sitting read, but holds your attention closely. It's exciting, fun, and emotional--and most importantly, it left me wanting more. I felt instantly attached to the characters--especially the villain--and look forward to hearing more about them!
