Small town life can be epic. And everyday humanity often provides life’s most riveting lessons. Could it be that a child is the only salvation for someone who has suffered profoundly? In Singer, the highly anticipated sequel to Fall to Grace, the love of a gifted four-year-old boy and his single mother are the only hope for Cory, a hardened young man who can’t seem to outrun tragedy. Will Cory dare to open his heart? Can love unbar the door to a new life for the three of them? Or will a vendetta, gathering in the shadows, destroy their future?Richly emotional, picturesque and thought-provoking, Singer reunites readers with HomeSky, Pat, the Sheriff, the blind Monsignor, as well as unforgettable new characters. It’s time, once again, to be swept away in storytelling that will leave you laughing, crying and, not least of all, turning pages late into the night.Three years after Fall to Grace ends, a new story begins.
Disappointed. Definitely not as good as Fall to Grace. I couldn't put Fall to Grace down when I read it, this one I kept hoping it would get better each time I picked it up. Couldn't fully recall what happened with Reg in the first book so I didn't get his involvement. I didn't love it and I read the first book, I'm not sure if someone who only reads Singer will appreciate the characters. And the ending? Cory deserved better. Disappointed.
I loved this sequel of "Fall To Grace." The characters are so well-developed that you can't help but be captivated by their story. I can't wait for the sequel because it will feel like old friends are coming to visit.
Close friends, Amazing little boy, Great Native American Spirit influence
You'll see headaches, love, true understanding, the growing of friendships, the growing of young minds and hearts in to an understanding of life. The second book of three.
I am somewhat leary of sequels but this one did not disappoint. I found the ending a little confusing. As a lover of words I totally enjoy this author.
This long book started off very slow for me. I had a huge number of people to keep separate in my mind and to keep the story moving. As the story progresses it starts to move faster and the different people take shape and fill out more fully. The ending left me flat. I wanted more to wrap up this story. It ended like the manuscript was needed to get to the publisher.
I love the characters, the depth, everything about the fist 2 books of the Fall To Grace books. I just want to drive to Baudette and meet all of these people!!!
I love the descriptive writing of Kerry Casey. He paints vivid pictures with words. And I love the setting of his books in Northern Minnesota. However, this book just went on and on and I found it tiring and confusing and rambling. The ending was horrible. I'm not sure what the point of his story is.
Loved this sequel! It was better than the first book. This book is about all the great friends that we met in the first book. It shows all the characters years later. It mostly follows Corey and his life, but chimes into others lives too! I would highly recommend getting both books!
Could not put this down. You immediately bond with the characters in this book and the first one - Fall to Grace. Both are great stories with complex characters and lots of laughter and tears. Hoping for a sequel from Kerry Casey to learn what happens next.
This book is long, but worth the time. It's a great follow up to Fall From Grace. It's spiritual and makes you fall in love with all the characters. Great read!
