Darkness of This World

“I lost a lot of sleep reading it…” –Tim LaHaye, co-author of the LEFT BEHIND series

A WAR UNLIKE ANY OTHER
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world…”

--Ephesians 6:12

The war that has been raging since the beginning of time continues toward its final battle. Lucifer and the forces of Darkness have plotted to destroy all that is good in the world—including the United States—by launching an audacious attack that is meant to forever change the balance of power in the world.

As Saudi Prince Abdullah al-Raman moves closer to taking over the kingdom’s throne and putting the attack into motion, it becomes clear that only a few people have the knowledge and ability to stop him. But will they find the strength to stand up to the Prince and his Master, or will they fail and leave the U.S. and Israel to face the grave consequences?

Against the backdrop of torn-from-the-headlines Middle Eastern drama, the Wrath & Righteousness series is a fast-paced thriller that explores man’s role in the eternal battle between good and evil.

Chris Stewart is the New York Times bestselling author of several books, including The Miracle of Freedom. He is a world-record-setting Air Force pilot (fastest nonstop flight around the world) and president and CEO of The Shipley Group, a nationally recognized consulting and training company.

Wrath & Righteousness is a ten episode e-book series by New York Times bestselling author Chris Stewart. This series was adapted from the previously published “The Great and Terrible” series that was released from 2003-2008.

This is the second book in the series. All I can say is wow! The series had a slow but interesting start, but the pace has really stepped up in this second installment. From hints of trouble to the head of the Saudi royal family to full blown terror and murder in this episode levels the stakes much higher. With shades of Frank Parretti the evil of spirits unseen take take a high level role in the under pinnings of the story. What will happen to the future of the Saudi royal family, the military friends of the royal family, the US itself, the future of Israel and the world are being played out in this great series. I can't wait for the next installment to come out!

Another great book in the series. This time the story moved along at a good pace compared to the first book since there wasn't as much need for setup. The characters were believable, the story was entertaining and there's a good deal of suspense building up for what is about to happen, but I really wish the books were a bit longer. Even with the shortness of the book, I still really enjoyed reading it. This time around there was plenty of action and I'm really looking forward to the next book.

Not only was the story simplistic and written to the lowest common denominator, the editing was terrible. There is not one single page without a missed word, typo, or grammatical error. This is obviously an author focused on quantity rather than quality.

In episode 2 of this 10 part story, I finally became involved in this book. Things have been moving along rather slowly until towards the end of this book. Now I have to finish the series.
