This was a very enjoyable read for me, as I attended the school profiled in this book, and remember listening to the title game on the radio. While I know or know of many of the people and places mentioned, I didn't know the background stories of the players, and the stories of their lives after that season. If you enjoy sports stories, and play-by-play recaps of the key games on the way to the title rematch, you'll greatly enjoy reading this book.

Wonderful, personal stories of the coach and players from only prep school in Ohio to beat LeBron James and his high school team. Details of the game are detailed too, I could hear Austin Carr calling it while reading his calls! Perfect for sports lovers!

My dad had bought this book a while ago for me. Not being a reader then was something. Many books later in the past year and I got around to it. What an interesting and beautiful story.

The story of my high school, Roger Bacon and how they beat LeBron. In fact they were the only Ohio hs team to beat LeBron. The story of an unknown school nationally that beat a nationally ranked team with the best high school player of all time. The writing was beautiful and I loved reading about my school. Reading about places I’ve been to and first hand experiences was great.

I wish my dad was alive so I could speak about this with him. This made me feel closer to him in more ways than not. Hail Spartans.

This is a "Hoosiers" like true story of a hardworking team who beat Lebron James' team in the Ohio basketball finals 10 years ago. The set-up is great - you meet the coach, the players, learn about how they came together and you get to feel that you know them. Then there is a dramatic build-up to "THE game" and you go through the game, almost play by play. I am a casual observer of basketball, but I had no trouble following along. I felt exhausted by the time the game was over! This is a very heartwarming story and I recommend it highly.

The Chosen Ones the (team that beat lebron) by Tony Meale. Its nonfiction. They were a hard working team working towards a goal to win a state championship. Bill Brewer (the coach)faced problems with winning games and being the under dog in many games. The story leads up to the game where they beat Lebron James. They had tough practices and a tough time with their coaches death. Their the book has the coaches, players, and many others talked about. I would recommend this book to anyone likes a good sports story. It was a good book.
