(Laura directed a feeding center for children in Berlin, who were victims of the US blockade, after WW1. The director of the center was HERBERT HOOVER and it was sponsored by the American Friend's Service Committee)"
On the next page is written, in other's (Victor's?) hand, "Laura Fittinghaus [sic] Recipe Book "

This is a wonderful cookbook. It is filled with information about the Pennyslvania Dutch community, scriptures, poetry, and some yummy recipes.
