He was so grumpy, I couldn't stand him and his arrogance. But when we got stuck on that island I didn't stand a chance and I completely fell for him. This was the hottest night of my life.
I got this new dream job that allows me to travel the world. Although my boss is really crabby, all I need to do is try and keep him happy and stay detached.
Easy enough? That’s what you’d think! But I didn’t expect to find him so attractive.
Older men are usually not my thing.
Each time I glance at him, I can see that he’s undressing me with his eyes.
All I need is to get through this picnic, and I’ll be headed home.
Then, of course, that’s what I thought before our boat broke down.
Now I’m stuck on this island with this unbelievably sexy guy.
Is it me or is sleeping with your boss an all-time bad idea?
Proving That Age Is Just A Number - Christina was really heartbroken when her fiancé decided to dump her just before she walked to the alter, but what made it worse was the lies he told people was the reason the wedding didn’t go ahead. As luck would have it, a really great job landed in her lap, which took her away from all the gossip going round about her. Even though she felt out of her element with her new job and had to fly by the seat of her pants, she pulled herself together and made it work.
Christina tried spontaneity to get her client, Adam, who was a grumpy jerk to loosen up and this led to complications in their relationship. Unfortunately, their budding relationship hit a snag when someone tried to cause friction in their relationship. However, they were able to find their way back to each other and finally acknowledged their true feelings to each other, so they could work together towards a happy life together.
This is the first book I have read from this author and I really enjoyed it. This slow build romance highlighted the fact that everything happens for a reason and picking yourself up and living your best life after disappointment can bring you job and happiness. This was a worthwhile read, that you won’t be disappointed reading.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
The story is mostly fine, my issue is the push and pull between the two main characters. They're attracted to each other, they hook up, but Adam still goes on a date with someone else? I also didn't understand what was up with Erik, it was almost like he was a third wheel.
Christine gets dumped on her wedding day. Her ex fiance blames her instead of maning up. So she decides to take a job of a life time for a rich older man as a travel agent. Nothing goes right but some how it all works out.
Such a short sweet romance. It says it is an enemy to lovers book. But honestly it's not. It's more of a strangers to lovers. However it was still good.
