What's a big beautiful woman to do when faced with two sexy, sweet and built men who fiercely desire her? Why, go for it, of course!

Chance Reynolds can't believe that Zee, the little girl he knew in Betty and Butch's foster home so long ago, is now the beautiful woman back in his life. After Josie Decker was sent back to her birth mother, her life was a living hell, but she made it through by doing everything she could to make things better for her sisters. Now 26 years later, she's reconnected with Mama Betty, and Chance knows that she's the woman for him. Well, for him and Sam, his foster brother and roommate.

Chance considers Sam Booth the brother of his heart, and he'd do wherever he could to make the Afghan war veteran whole again. After suffering a traumatic head injury, Sam is having a tough time dealing with his return to civilian life with PTSD kicking his ass. When his therapist suggests yoga, he's skeptical until he sees the petite Josie striking a pose giving him the first real feelings he's had in months. Sam makes an effort to get close to her.

Josie can't believe the two hottest men she's ever seen are interested in big fat her! It's tough to take them seriously when they're so out of her league. Chance and Sam are sick of Josie putting herself down and they're determined to show her just how much they love every supple inch of her curvy body. The three enter into a soul shifting ménage relationship, something totally normal and accepted by the town. Can Josie learn to love herself enough to allow chance and Sam to love her too? How will her sisters that she raised from birth take the news that she's in a committed relationship with two men? She'll have to trust more than just Chance, she'll have to learn to trust herself, too.

TRUSTING CHANCE is the first book in the Fate Harbor series and can be read as a standalone. At first, I found the writing to be fairly abrupt and matter of fact, very few emotionally packed sentences in there. All three main characters were sweet and lovely. But there was no zing at all, unfortunately, and very little in the way of a plot either.

I have a big problem (pun intended) with books that go on and on about the heroine's size issues. I find it hard to believe that after years of abuse, Josie's main sense of self-worth is based on her size. Of all the hardships she's faced, this is the one that's most profound? Give me a break. It's just so irritating to hear the same "You really like my body?" question posed in 150 different ways throughout a novel. If I were a dude being asked this over and over, I'd throw my hands up in the air and run fast and far away. Ain't nobody got time for that.

But I digress.

Another issue I had was Sam's "dominant" attitude, which really was just him being rude and overbearing. Throwing the label of "Dom" on someone doesn't make their overbearing jerkiness okay. And the fact that Josie entered "subspace" (aka passed out after orgasm) with little to no provocation just drove me nuts as this story went on. Just because the BDSM is a popular genre right now doesn't mean the classification should be used for just any book. Chance was incredibly sweet and cheerful and almost bouncy at times...it was truly surprising that he didn't at least admit some bisexual leanings after some of the things he did and said.

I can't pinpoint everything that didn't do it for me in TRUSTING CHANCE, but as a whole, this book ended up more annoying than arousing for me.

Trusting Chance, the first book in the Fate Harbor Series by Caitlyn O'Leary really surprised me. It is Ms. O'Leary's first book but you'd never know it, and I'm really looking forward to reading more. From page 1 I was invested in the story and loved Josie, Sam and Chance. These three really deserved their happily ever after!

Even better is that book 2 in the series will be out this week and book three next month so I won't have long to wait to feed my Fate Harbor and Caitlyn O'Leary fix.

If you're looking for a great new contemporary romance that is complemented with sex, sex and, umm yeah you guessed it, more sex then you need look no further. Take a trip to Fate Harbor you won't be disappointed.

Book one in the Fate Harbor series. I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic erotic story.

I so love Fate Harbor and the residents living there. The community is very supportive of each other. The three main characters are Josie, Sam and Chance. They met when they were young and in foster care. All three had a troubled past and are trying to move on. Fate steps in and they find themselves back in Fate Harbor.

This is a fantastic debut novel with a wonderful Menage story. I'm so looking forward to reading more from this author.

I love Fate Harbor and the people who live there. It is a community that supports multiple spouse marriage and everyone supports and looks after each other. For this book we have the story of Sam, Chance and Josie. All three have the common bond of being foster children in the home of Betty and Butch.
Josie and Sam were sent back to their parents and Chance stayed with the foster family till he was 18 but each bonded as children. Chance was taken care of by Josie as children; he could get her to do anything with his puppy eyes. She had returned to her mother by the time Sam got there. Sam and Chance had bonded as brothers even though Sam had to leave multiple times only to be disappointed and abused by his mother and returned to foster care. Sam has endured many tours of duty during the war and returned back to Fate Harbor with PTSD and some health issues. Chance is taking care of him the best he can when news comes from Betty that she has been in contact with Josie. Betty has some ideas that Josie could be exactly what her two boys need in life, but will Josie agree?
After watching Betty be taken advantage of by other people for her money, Chance wasn’t trusting of Josie, who he used to call Zee so he researched and found she had single handedly raised her twin younger sisters and her reputation was pure. Now that her sisters have been awarded scholarships and are going off to college Betty is pushing Josie to come to Fate Harbor and open up the bakery she has always dreamed of having. After watching Josie and Betty talk on Skype Chance begins having his own wishes for when his Zee returns.
Chance and Sam will have to teach Josie how to feel again and to allow others to care for her now With her business growing and meeting people who soon become friends, she hopes that she has finally found her home, back where she started. It won’t be easy for these three, with two being let down and damaged by the very person who was supposed to love them and Chance feeling the emptiness of his parent’s death, they are going to have to learn to trust each other as adults now with their minds, bodies and souls.
I love how the author developed these characters and displayed their strengths and weaknesses. Josie had suffered a back injury while with her mother and suffers in pain, yet she doesn’t let it stop her from obtaining her dreams with extremely hard work. Josie has some issues with her body and beliefs that no man would want her even though she is a beautiful woman. Sam suffers from nightmares and PTSD yet when he is with Josie he is the alpha male who takes control and makes Josie see how beautiful she is. Chance is the nurturer to the two yet is also an alpha male who keeps Sam in line and helps Josie stop berating herself. Growing up in a stable home with Betty and Butch he doesn’t have the baggage that the other two do but he carries his own demons and pain. Where one of the three lacks or suffers that other two step up and fills the void and help build each other.
I really love this series of Fate Harbor romances. She creates a community that makes the reader wish they could move there. She also keeps characters from other books involved in each book which I love. While this was the first book published, I have read another Fate Harbor book before this, proving that each book can be a standalone. The author writes with such a steady flow that the reading is easy and allows you to just drift away into the story and grow to love her characters as if they are friends.

I Totally Melted! This was Emotional All The Way!

I was a puddle of melted cream by the end of this story...Ms O'Leary's way with the English language was extraordinary! Her setting of Fate Harbor, Washington is so appealing, anyone would love to live there. Her characters all throughout the book were strong and well rounded. Her emotional development with each is a testament to her writing skills and I for one loved each person in this book.

Me meet Chance, a man who having been in the foster care system was one of the few lucky ones. He was placed with a loving family who really does care for their charges. He grows up knowing hes important and loved. And Sam, one of the unlucky ones who the system fails repeatedly. Though he finally gets placed permanently with Chance. His scars are already there. And Josie, A woman who learned from the system that the only one who will care for you is yourself. Her only good memories from her childhood is the time she was in the foster home with Chance.

Fast forward a few years and you find them conquering their own demons. All living in the same town and forming their own relationship, becoming the family they always wanted.

Chance has left the corporate world an is living his life at a slower pace. Sam has returned from service to his country a broken man. Suffering from P.T.S.D. and Head Trauma he fights every day to live normal again. When Josie contacts her former foster parents to reconnect, she ends up buying a local bakery and moving across the country to live there too.
She discovers Fate Harbor Washington has more going on than meets the eye. There are menege partnership's all over town! Her best friend is married to the two Hotties running the local Diner! So when Chance and Sam let her know what they want...she's willing to try. Even if its only for a short time. Not believing anyone would truly ever want her, Josie is beset with insecurities about her body and self-worth. But Sam and Chance soon set her straight on that!

Caitlyn O'Leary has wrapped me up in her world so thoroughly I was easily transported to a rural town in Washington. I was gifted this book by a friend who told me it was good. Well I'm here to say she severely underestimated this rating. It was far more than good, I'm not even sure if great is high enough praise. I would like to say thank you for this book and YES I am A confirmed Caitlyn O'Leary FAN-GIRL! Happy now Heidi? **smiling and waving pom-poms**

Go get this book if you really love menege romances or just reading about real life situations. I dare you...

Fate Harbor sounds idyllic....menages are not uncommon, everyone knows everyone else and all are welcoming.
The town is so beautifully described that can picture it and I wish I lived there.

It is in this setting that we follow the lives of characters who came to the town as foster children. They were lucky in that their foster parents were kind, loving, and supportive.

Yes, they have been affected by their pasts and they bear the scars. But it is how they have battled and overcome their pasts that is the true point of this story.

This story is well worth reading.

Why only 4*?
This is a debut novel and as such there are moments when the story doesn't flow as well as it could.
However, I fully expect that the minor problems encountered will disappear as the author becomes more confident and develops her style.....

I am so happy I received an ARC for this book. I had the opportunity to review this book when it was re-released as Theirs to Treasure. My review remains the same, it was just as wonderful the second time, only better with the new epilogue.

I am a big fan of Caitlyn O'Leary, especially her military romantic suspense. Her characters are always flawed and real people who struggle but always keep moving forward. The Fate Harbor series is a bit out of the norm for one of her books because they are menage and don't have a strong military feeling. They are also a bit out of the norm for typical menage. These books have 'triads' (which is not something I've seen used in other menage books) that are not always composed of two men who know they want to share a woman. In Theirs to Treasure we meet Chance who knows he wants to share Josie with his best friend Sam and Sam who is a bit blind-sided by the plan but open to it. This is a story of wounded people giving each other the courage to open up and accept themselves. Sam and Josie share such pain that they are able to help each other heal. I also loved Josie's sisters and their relationship. Honestly I wish they had come into the book earlier. All in all this is a very touching book and would serve as a fairly tame introduction for anyone considering the menage genre. It's kind of hard to go wrong with a Caitlyn O'Leary book. I received an ARC and voluntarily left this review.

Josie first met Chance when they were placed with the same foster family when they were younger until Josie's birth mother came to get her. During that time, a great many things happened to Josie that have left physical & emotional scars on her so she's definitely different these days. She ends up reconnecting with her foster parents to move back to Fate Harbor to achieve her dream of opening a bakery, and she comes face to face with Chance again. He & his best friend, Sam, are living there, and Chance has been trying to figure out how to help Sam, who has PTSD from his time in the military but little did he know Josie would be the key to that. Turns out, these three are perfect for each other in all the best of ways as they compliment each other like crazy, however, those emotional scars of Josie pose a big problem on the way to a happily ever after. I really loved the Fate Harbor community with the open minds & acceptance of things that could be taboo (like triads) in other places. The heat in this story is definitely on point, but the emotional connection is just as powerful as these three navigate a triad relationship. I'm not normally one for menage, but I will say that I really loved Caitlyn O'Leary's way of creating them so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Josie Decker has been in a foster home when she first met Chance Reynolds and Chance met Sam Booth in the same foster home after Josie when back to her mother. Josie and Sam both have a lot of scars and pain that they was gave while they was in their family home before or after coming from there foster home.

Josie ended up taking care of her 2 sister and when they started to head to college Josie got back in touch with her foster parents and decided to move to Fate Harbor with them and start a bakery

Sam has his demons from his child hood and from when he went in to the army

Chance make sure that his foster parents are well taken care of and makes a plan that evolves his best friend Sam and Josie since Fate Harbor does not mind having people that have a triad relationships so he tries to get Sam and Josie to go along with his plan .

Does Chance get his way or not ? You will have to read to find out .
I love this book and I will be rereading this one soon as well as getting the rest of the books for the Fate Harbor series

I found this ménage romance thoroughly enjoyable. Three people whose lives are shaped by childhood trauma, emotional and physical abuse and the resulting insecurities form a triad in a small, insular Washington state community known for its ménage couples. Their common bond? They all spent time as foster children of Butch and Betty Hutchins. Chance Reynolds, Josie Decker and Sam Booth's road to love is not a smooth one. Josie and Sam, more than Chance, really had horrendous childhoods. As such Josie has been in never-ending pain for more than half her life. The cause Sam's pain is more recent but no less severe. Chance is the driving force here and it takes all of his wheeler dealer wiles to get the other two on board. It's slow going but the love that develops is steadfast and the forever kind.

Welcome to Fate Harbor and the wonderful world of ménage relationships.” Can three foster kids overcome their past to make a future together?

Josie had a hard life growing up. She remembers when she was put into foster care with the Hutchins and a little boy named Chance. Things had been good until they sent her back to her parents. Now she’s back in Fate Harbor for her foster sister's wedding.

Chance had grown up in foster care but has done very well for himself in spite of his upbringing. He is thrilled when Josie comes back to Fate Harbor where she belongs.

Sam is an Afghan war vet. He and Chance had been foster brothers when they were younger. Now as adults, they lived together. Chance was always trying to save someone. But his demons ran too deep and there was no saving him. Then he met Josie.

Josie, Chance and Sam have a shared connection which is that they all spent time with the same foster parents which were the happiest days of their lives. Even though it was only a temporary situation for Josie when she reached out to them years later, they convinced her to relocate to Fate Harbor which not only brings Chance back into her life but Sam as well.

Chance and Sam share a friendship that seen them through all the challenges in their lives. Both Josie and Sam are still dealing with the aftereffects of their pasts however Chance is determined to show them that together they can overcome anything.

Despite the turmoil I enjoyed seeing Josie, Chance and Sam fight for each other and their love.

Trusting Chance is a fabulous romance by Caitlyn O'Leary. This is a M/F/M menage though so it may not be for everyone. Josie, Chance and Sam have all spent time with loving foster parents. Now adults, Chance and Sam are out of the military and back in Fate Harbor where their former foster parents live. Chance is excited and making secret plans for when Josie moves back to Fate Harbor also. Their story is packed with drama, humor, angst and sizzle. I enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next book in the series. Trusting Chance is book 1 of the Fate Harbor Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

I read a print copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book is absolutely fantastic and will have you totally engrossed from the beginning and by the end in happy tears. Each character has their own heartbreaking story ,but when they all end up in the foster home at different times with Betty and Butch in Fate Harbor . Now older Chance and His foster mom Betty come up with a plan, but will it work since Josie hasn't been back since she was little? This is their stories and struggles with their own demons but taking a chance could leave them in the right path to happiness? I absolutely fell in love with each character and just loved this story. Its compelling and heartbreaking and so much more .

Well not really a new series this is a reworking of Caitlyn's original series the one that started her career and it is totally different to her all alpha military men of her later work

This is the story of three people that originally connected in the foster care system Chance is a business man while Sam joined the military and was injured When Josie reconnects with the foster family she was taken from to reconnect with her mother they convince her to stay She is broken and Chance sees it as an opportunity to help her and maybe help Sam at the same time. Soon a connection is forming between them can they form a perfect triad and build a future together.

I’m sorry to say that I did not finish this book.
I just couldn’t get past a couple of things that made me finish about a third of the way through.

Firstly Josie was way too focussed on how big she was and how these men couldn’t possibly be attracted to her. And she said this over and over again.

Secondly the back brace got me. How the hell was she supposed to have sex with two men if she could hardly walk up stairs and stand for long with a back brace on.
She was taking medication every day because she was in so much pain. I really was too focussed on these problems and couldn’t get into the attraction.

So I didn’t even get to the menage part of the book before I gave up.

I thought that this book was something pretty special. The author crafts a beautiful story that is so incredibly emotionally moving and still seductively steamy. I must admit that reading Sam, Josie, and Chance's story gave me feelings an epic workout. From bringing tears to my eyes, to putting a lump the size of a boulder in my throat, to melting my heart down into a sappy, swoony puddle, this book did it all. Really looking forward to reading more of this series. I am independently posting an impartial review.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Chance, Sam, and Josie’s story. Chance and Josie became friends while is the foster system, and bring into the mix Sam, who is ex-military, and these three tormented and wounded souls complete each other. This is a well written story which has romance, intrigue, witty banter, emotions, insecurities, suspense, and in-depth storyline, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

The book is good. I'm not particularly into the threesomes, so this book is not my cup of tea. It is an interesting story and if you look from this prespective it is interesting that two men can share one woman. Usually men in books are alpha males and higly jealous and protective of their females. Sam and Chance are all that but they can manage to share her.
If you are into threesomes then I reccomend you to read this book.

That fact that 3 foster children who supported each other as youngsters, with the same wonderful foster parents, can find happiness is a wonderful story. Caitlyn has taken this series in a different direction and story line.
Fate Harbor is a magical place. Josie, Sanand Chance have truly saved each other and are soul mates.
I do like the Midnight Delta a d lack Dawn stories and action better.

Oh wow. Chance Reynolds was very protective of his foster parents. Josie Decker was staying in contact to Betty too because they both were in foster care together. Years later Chance has her investigated to make sure they were safe. He remembers she was special and he stated having feelings for her helping to paved the way to move there too.He is also helping with Sam because he considers him a brother

I’ve read the newer 2023 edition.

Fate Harbor, home to polyamorous relationships.
Josie arrives in town where her former foster parents live. She’s starting a new life and opens the local bakery. Sam and Chance are both falling for her, will she have to choose or go with the lifestyle?
You can’t help but fall in love with these characters and life stories of heartbreak, they deserved happiness.
I loved this story and can’t wait for more in the series.

These three have a very interesting dynamic. Through the foster care system they have known each other on and off through their younger years. When Chance and Sam move back to Fate Harbor, fate places Josie in their sights again. Chance knows they are meant to be together so he arranges things to make that happen. How it all works out for their HEA makes for a really interesting and heartfelt read.

Love it! Fate Harbor is awesome, so are Betty and Butch. But the relationship that grows between Josie, Sam and Chance is beautiful. Of course Sam and Chance are bossy, alpha heroes, but they are sweet and caring too. And Josie is a bad ass!

This is great story, that covers overcoming your past to embarce your future!

This was my first Caitlyn O'Leary book and will definitely NOT be my last. Chance, Sam and Josie's story is sensational and sensual. I love how there were real life issues, struggles but also love and healing. Then there was the smoking hot parts as well as a lot of laughter. Cannot wait to read book 2 of Fate Harbor!

This read was sweat and heart-warming. Josie having had a rough childhood I really felt for her. Sam dealing with PTSD and Chance wanting to bring them all together. I loved Chance’s caring heart. Sam was a bit rough and abrupt for my taste. However, all in all a good read.
