"In tight quarters, anything can happen. "

An "Out of Uniform" Story

It s been a rough month for Navy SEAL Cash McCoy. Fresh off six months of celibacy during his deployment, he almost got into a hot blonde's panties before they were interrupted. Since then, he still hasn t gotten laid. The reason? He lost her number. And no other woman has replaced her face in his fantasies.

Then his CO asks him to keep an eye on his sister for a few weeks. Just until her psycho stalker ex is transferred. Cash's new houseguest is none other than the same gorgeous, quirky blonde. And just his luck his orders include an emphatic "hands off."

Jen Scott is having none of it. Now that she has a second chance, she s not letting Cash slip away. Orders be damned, he's the one man capable of helping her explore her sexuality. She's even willing to break her own rule never date military men to get the gorgeous SEAL into her bed.

Except Cash makes it clear he wants more than she bargained for. Much more. Not just her body, but the one thing she promised herself she'd never give to a man in uniform. Her heart.

Warning: Sexy SEAL? Check. Sassy heroine determined to seduce him? Check. Scorching hot sex bound to make you blush? Double check. A threesome and some man-on-man action? Triple check. You ve been warned. "

“So it’s true, huh? Men really do think about sex like every other minute,” she said in a wry voice.
“Afraid so,” he confirmed.

Feeling Hot is the first full-length novel in the Out of Uniform series, the story of Jen Scott and Cash McCoy.

Not surprisingly, Jen and Cash’s relationship starts as a fling, but as the deadline of the fling nears, both feel that it is not only a fling any more.

Jen, based on the marriage of her parents and her brother, doesn’t want to have a SEAL in her life.
Furthermore, she is considered to be the “weak little twit” by her family, and it is told her so many times that this misconception is burned into her attitude. She needs a serious confidence push, and she soon discovers that Cash could give it to her, and she can be more herself with him than ever before.

From the moment they’d met, Cash had accepted her for who she was. Supported her. Encouraged her. Introduced her to passion she’d never known.
And she knew now, without a shred of doubt, that even one day with Cash McCoy would be worth however many months without him.

Cash is obviously superhot and very successful with women, but he has difficulties when it comes to meaningful conversations rather than dirty talk. Interestingly, he has no problems talking to Jen, which indicates a kind of fitting.

He is also very perceptive, and understands Jen as no one else, encouraging her to pursue her dream and turn her hobby into a career.

The stalker ex-boyfriend and Jen’s family issues give a stable background to the story, though the latter is more influential regarding the development of Jen’s character.

The secondary storyline with Carson and Holly is interesting, and the marriage crisis they pass through is a logical subject matter.

Erotica
Almost every installment of the series has first class erotic scenes, and Feeling Hot is prominent in this regard as well.

Best. Ménage. Ever. Where Dylan is involved, only good things could happen. ;)

Okay, I'm just going to blurt it out because there's no better way to get my feelings across--I loved this book! It doesn't pretend to be anything real deep, but it's a fun (and funny), sexy beach-type read, with a little touch of suspense. And...it's super hot! Imagine Suzanne Brockmann's Tall, Dark, and Dangerous series about Navy SEALs. Now ramp up the sex factor about 100%...and you have the Out of Uniform series. And lucky for us, this seventh book in the series is not a novella like the rest in the series--it's a full-length, tightly written novel that doesn't skimp on the plot, dialogue, details, or character backgrounds...or the sex.:)

So, basic plot summary: Sexy, dark and muscular, 27-year-old rookie SEAL Cash McCoy is back stateside after a long deployment. He's looking forward to a few weeks time off and is hoping to end his 6+ months of celibacy. Cash has no trouble scoring with the ladies, it's just the forming relationships/talking part that he has trouble with. While out at a neighborhood bar hoping to get "lucky", he meets (in an unusual way) a sexy blonde (Jen) who he has no trouble talking to, and God is she gorgeous. Sparks fly...there's some hot kisses and mutual groping...and then an unwelcome interruption. Darn! But he gets her phone number...then ends up losing it!:(

Cash...

Pretty, blue-eyed blonde 26-year-old Jen Scott has just been fired from yet another crappy job. But this time it isn't her fault. It's the fault of her crazy, stalkerish, clingy ex-boyfriend who makes a scene at her place of work. Her loving, overachieving family thinks of her as an underachieving family screw-up with no real goals in life. And Jen wonders if they're right...the only thing that interests her is her photography hobby. While out with friends at a neighborhood bar, she meets a hunky stranger who flips all her switches. They talk, flirt, kiss, and grope each other in the bar's storeroom. But then they're rudely interrupted. Jen wouldn't mind exploring her sexuality with this handsome stranger (she wants "hungry kisses and husky demands, a man so desperate to get her naked and screw her brains out that he didn't bother with the when or where or how--he wanted her now and he'd damn well take her"), and gives him her phone number, hoping he'll call her...but he doesn't.:(

Jen...
jen4-1

When Jen's stalkerish ex refuses to give up on their relationship and breaks into her apartment, her Navy SEAL brother (Carson Scott from Heat of Passion) steps in. Since the ex will be moving out of town on a job transfer in a few weeks, Carson feels it best that Jen stay with someone who could act as her bodyguard...just in case. Unfortunately, Jen can't stay with him and wife Holly (this is a somewhat mysterious subplot that is explored in the book), and refuses to move back in with her over-protective and critical parents, sooo...how about one of Carson's SEAL teammates? Carson knows just who to ask/order...and if he so much as makes a move on Jen, he'll drown him. (Yep, that's what he says.)

Oh, what fun this story was! Of course Cash had no idea that sexy blonde Jen from the bar was his teammate's sister, the one he was ordered to stay away from. And to deny himself the delectable Jen for 2 long weeks, when they have such chemistry...and when Jen is determined to seduce him? Yowza! The sexual tension in the book as Cash holds out as long as he can...and when he can't take it anymore? Scorching! Oh yeah, it's obvious that these two were made for each other. But what will happen when the 2 weeks of living together are up? Will Jen back off her 'no dating a military man' creed? Will Cash (and Jen) stand up to Carson? Will Cash decide he wants more from Jen than just a fling?

Yum. I just loved Cash. He was funny, sexy, honorable, and very supportive of Jen. I loved his relationship with Jen, and with his SEAL teammates (especially his fellow "rookies" Dylan, Seth, and Jackson--please please can we have their stories?) And his relationship with best buddy Dylan? No spoilers here, but it took an unexpected, hot little turn.;) Wow.

Dylan...
01-william-levy_off

And Jen? At first I thought she was a flake, but once I got to know her, and the funny way she tried to seduce Cash, her "cowboy"? LOL, I couldn't help but love her! She was funny, kind, feisty, and talented, too. I really enjoyed her, and thought she and Cash were one adorable, hot couple!

Fans of this series, you'll see most all of the characters from the previous books either making an appearance, or being mentioned. I'm so glad that Ms. Kennedy introduced a new crop of SEALs for us to read about. And these SEALs seem just as lusty as their older teammates!

This was a quick, easy read for me. What made it so easy to read was my enjoyment of the characters. When you connect with the characters that makes all the difference. I loved both Cash and Jen, and wanted to see them happy together. They made me laugh, they made me smile, they made me fan myself a few times...what can I say? They were hot! I was sad to see their story end, but I have a feeling I'll be seeing them again. My favorite story of the series so far gets 5 stars from me!

Warning: This book contains explicit language and sex, including oral (but no anal), a m/f/m ménage scene, and a little m/m action. Not for the faint of heart.

Navy SEAL Cash McCoy and Jen Scott

Book 7 in the series starts the second batch of irresistible, womaniser SEALs who will finally their perfect woman and settle down. That does not mean that the characters from the previous books won't make cameo appearances.

Jen is Carson's sister from Heat of Passion. She meets Cash at a club. She is desperate because her stalker ex boyfriend made her lost her job. He is desperate and horny because he is back stateside after a long deployment. They almost have sex.
She gives him her number. He stupidly loses it.

And surprise surprise after a few weeks Carson asks Cash to look after his baby sister, to protect her from her psycho ex boyfriend and not to touch her.

Cash and Jen in less than a week will disobey Carson's orders. Multiple times.

The book is hot and although it is MF, there is a hot MMF scene in the book with Cash, Jen and Dylan which mainly happened for experimentation reasons and not for bonding reasons. Dylan will have an excellent love story later on in book “Hotter Than Ever (Out of Uniform, #9)”.

👹I SAW THAT SO MANY OF MY PALS ADDED THIS TO TBR..............WELL here's THE UGLY TRUTH.

👹I read this book in 2k18 , and I remember ALL the icky things about it-

#️⃣the H is a ............ Travis Maddox aka MANWHORE101.(by now , everyone must be familiar with the good 'ol Travis........if you aren't then....... give yourself some time , and you'll ONE day find a review in your 'Recent Updates' that'll be ranting about all the things that are wrong with The Beautiful Disaster 🙂)

#️⃣The h is ............. one of those hot blondes who wants to hump H , whenever she sees him , the blurb made that clear anyway.

#️⃣The H is 6 months celibate because he was in the war.

#️⃣The H works for a security company.

#️⃣Each book in series is about a different guy of the security company.

#️⃣The H , at the beginning of the book , about to hook-up with the h , but get's interrupted for the reasons that I don't remember.

#️⃣The guy who runs the security company is Cash's(the Hs) best friend and wants Cash to protect his sister, the h.

#️⃣Now , since cash is UNABLE to hook-up with the h the first time........ 2 chapters later, we see a VERY VERY ON PAGE , DETAILED, X-RATED scene of H and Hs best friend Dylan having a threesome with a 'ho Vanessa. And that scene is basically a full chapter.

#️⃣Then later in the book , when the H and h have sex for the first time........ he is not with anyone else after that. Or is it? read further and you'll know.

#️⃣Also , you should know that he DID NOT USE CONDOM with Vanessa and he hasn't use condoms in past sometimes.

#️⃣Also , one MORE shocking thing that you should know is.......... IS............ISSSSS........
EVERY guy in the security firm when falls for a woman the first time, his buddies in the security firm SHARE the woman as in ..........SAMPLE her (have threesome , foursome with her) , and THEN the H marries her and have babies with her.

#️⃣So , when the h meets the H again for the 2nd time , she is ALSO attracted strongly towards Dylan , the Hs best friend, and THAT'S why the h and the H and Dylan , have threesome , and from THEN on the H and h are only with each other for rest of their lives.

#️⃣The book is ONLY in h and Hs pov , but from a female side character's dialogue we come to know that she is the wife of one of the other guys , and she was was also sampled in the past by her husbands buddies aka the guys who work at the security firm. She tells the h , that EVERY woman is sampled that manages to fall in love with one of the guys.

#️⃣So , now you know if this is safe or not right?

#️⃣Also, the ex-drama from hs side..........well , do you really care at this point?

I’m going to give it to you straight: Feeling Hot is light on substance and extremely heavy on erotica. Some readers may be fine with 100% pure smut, but I need at least a semi-decent story to go along with my smut. This book meets the storyline requirement just fine, but you won’t find any great character development, suspense, or deep issues explored.

Underachiever Jen and Navy SEAL Cash are likable – albeit one-dimensional – characters. They go from agreeing to a brief sexual fling to wanting a committed relationship, but they somehow skip the in between steps of learning anything of significance about each other.

Their chemistry is off the charts, though, and holy hell there is a lot of scorching sex. I swear, everyone is perpetually horny in this book. Apparently, ménages are a standard way of life for Cash and company. Cash and Jen’s friends are amusing and lend an overall lighthearted vibe to the story.

There is a forbidden romance element and Jen’s crazy stalker ex-boyfriend, but the plot is fairly thin and there are no real surprises. However, it’s a quick and fun read with a whole lot of heat.

Protects like a SEAL, rides like a cowboy!

Cash McCoy is just a SEAL looking for a good time. Jen has just been fired from her job and has been dealing with a stalker ex-boyfriend. When they run into each other trying to hide from present problems in an employees only part of a bar, things move from awkward run in to strangers almost hooking up. They part ways, but little do they realize they are about to know each other quite well.

I don’t want to ruin what goes on. So all I will really say is that these two have some friends in common. One thing leads to another and they are in each other’s lives more often. I enjoyed this story. It’s pretty quick, and it’s mostly sexy and smutty, but Cash and Jen do have a connection and he gives her things no one else ever has.

All in all a good read. If you’re looking for a quick contemporary with a military hero, and a finding herself heroine... then look no further!

3.5 A Blast From the Past Stars
* * * 1/2 It's Free
I am a Free Book One Click Artist...When presented with an opportunity to read a book by an author I love for Free...I am all in. I adore Elle Kennedy. Love her work in the Off Campus Series, HardCore. I first read Ms. Kennedy when she was doing the After Hours series for Brazen, the steamier side of Entangled. All of the men were dirty talking and delivered the goods. When you picked up one of those books, you knew the couple was going to be connected and love hard.

Feeling Hot is part of the Out of Uniform series. It was part of Brazen, too. These men and women of the military were strong, able bodied and Randy! They were very open minded and had no problem doing the Share Thing.

But once they found their person...then the sharing seemed to be over... at least it sort of was in this book.

Navy SEAL Cash McCoy is more than Randy... he is down right needy. He has been deployed for the last six months and is counting the minutes till he can get some kind of release. He doesn't have a regular gal and he is tried of hearing his roommate banging his girlfriend...The walls are paper thin and Damn she is loud....

Cash goes out to a local club knowing he shouldn't have any problems hooking up. In a short time, a woman who seemed like she was going to be ok and "relieve him of his pent up problem," turns out to be one of those SEAL groupies who want to tie SEALs down and marry them within the first 10 minutes. Cash needs to figure out a way to end the clinging and conversation. He says he needs to go somewhere and ducks into a room that is dark and looks like a supply closet.

It turns out he isn't alone in there...

Jen Scott is having one crappy week. She is dealing with an ex boyfriend who just made a scene at her job so she got canned. She is at the club because a co worker was promoted and insisted she celebrate her good fortune. Listening to this woman go on and on about her advancement is not what Jen needs. She doesn't begrudge the woman's new job, she actually is happy for her... It is just the timing of it all. She needs to step away for a moment and knows exactly where to go...

Cash and Jen end up in this room on a couch and complain to each other about why they ducked out for a minute. Only both of them don't exactly tell the other all about who they are...Cash doesn't want to get caught up again with a woman going all intense as soon as they know he is a SEAL...and Jen is just so annoyed with everything. As she talks/flirts a bit with Cash...both of their hormones start taking over their actions...Kissing and grouping starts with equal interest from both...In fact things were getting pretty down and dirty until a real employee from the club came into the closet to get something.

Both Jen and Cash pulled apart, said a few things and then Jen gave Cash her number because he swore he was asking for real...and would call.

Naturally, something happens and Cash is pissed because he can't call Jen. He figures he lost his chance.

Jen's brother has always been protective of his sis and when things with the ex got more aggressive, he helped her get a restraining order. The guy supposedly is leaving for a new job in three weeks. Until then, Jen's brother wants her to stay with one of his guys... a fellow SEAL. The one who isn't too much of a man whore. The only one the brother trusts not to make a move on his sis is Cash.

Yup, when Jen is taken to the SEAL's apartment, she is introduced to Cash by her brother. Both of them are dying... Cash because he has been dreaming about Jen...and Jen because this is the guy who said he was in security, not a SEAL...and he never called like he said he would...

Great...
Oh, and the brother told Cash he better not make a move on his sister... or he will drown him and ruin his career.

So here we have two people who are extremely attracted to each other, sleeping under the same roof. Cash swore to his SEAL Commander he would never lay a finger on Jen...And Jen wants more than a finger... she wants it all.

This was a down and dirty romance... It did have some serious extras...like exploration of more than one partner at a time...and the suspense of the ex stalker boyfriend. There is relationship drama for other secondary couples in the group and then the HEA for Cash and Jen.

If you like a little threesome action and lots of loving with the main couple as they discover love...then Elle Kennedy did the trick for you.

Well, I am clearly in the minority here. I will say that this book THE hottest menage I've ever read, which is pretty amazing. However, the rest of the book pretty much drove me up the wall. I have three things to say.

1) Slut shaming by the hero = not an attractive quality. The woman who wanted to get to know the real you, who looked up to you for your service to our country and was attracted to you... yes, she was clearly a creepy stalker slut who only fucked Navy SEALs for prestige. And the girl who stuck her tongue down your throat after two minutes in a dark public place... yes, she was obviously so innocent underneath it all and her inexperienced fumblings turned you on most of all. And no, that distorted worldview doesn't make you a misogynistic asshole at all.

2) When four highly trailed Navy SEALs corner and bully and ASSAULT an investment banker who just had a long day at work and is having a drink and clearly cannot defend himself, that does not make you look tough or heroic. While the casualness of the violence disturbed me, if you're going to confront a guy, at least have the BALLS to fight him one-on-one. Instead two SEALs punched this guy and then basically high-fived each other after that for getting him good.

3) Imagine for a moment that a gang of men were to drag a woman behind a dumpster and push her down with the clear intent to rape her. In a desperate bid to get away, she punches one of the men. I think we can all agree that her actions are self defense, but apparently our hero Cash McCoy does not agree, nor does his buddy SEALs and the law enforcement officials. They did the same thing to the guy (with the intent to rough him up, not rape) and yet when their victim claimed self-defense they laughed and called him a liar. Then law enforcement wrote the whole thing off as a brawl. Just no.

Yes, I am aware that the victim was generally an asshole and also stalked the heroine, but it was the Navy SEALs who escalated it to full-blown violence (and honestly put the heroine at greater risk in doing so). What they did was illegal and more importantly, morally wrong wrong wrong.

And maybe worst of all, cowardly. If you're gonna fight, fight fair. At a minimum, that means one-on-one.

Favorite Quote: “Three words,” she croaked, her entire body throbbing with lingering pleasure. “Best. Ménage. Ever.”

No, it really is the best ménage ever. Tori emailed me this weekend to say she oversaw a twitter conversation talking about how hot Feeling Hot is. And then she said, “two straight dudes give each other pleasure for the heroine’s enjoyment,” and I was gone. It seriously is one of the hottest ménage scenes I’ve read. Let me back up a bit and tell you how we get there.

Jen has a stalker of an ex-boyfriend who won’t leave her alone. He is suppose to leave the state in a few weeks for a new job, so Jen assumes after that point, he will stop harassing her. But her brother Carson is overprotective (and also a Navy SEAL) and refuses to believe she is safe with the ex lurking around. Carson is having some problems with his wife, so he can’t have Jen stay with him, so he turns to one of his good friends, and fellow SEAL Cash.

Cash is home after being deployed for six months and is hella horny. He meets Jen at a bar and tries to pick her up but they get interrupted. After losing her number by accident, he ends up in a threesome with his BFF Dylan (another SEAL! Good lord..SEAL overload) and a random woman. While Cash has fun, he can’t get his mind off of Jen (at this point he doesn’t know Jen is Carson’s sister). Then he gets a phone call from Carson who tells him that his sister is going to move in with him for three weeks and he will keep her safe at all costs. Oh and Cash isn’t allowed to sleep with her. Then Jen shows up, Cash realizes who she really is (girl from the bar) and the thought of not sleeping with her is pretty agonizing. Especially when Jen seduces him with everything she has.

The set-up of Jen being forced to live with Cash for a few weeks is a little silly but honestly, I loved the style of writing so much and the sex is so hot, I could totally overlook the forced set-up. This is my first book by Elle Kennedy and damn it. How is this book seven in this series filled with very erotic sex and alpha SEALs and I’ve never read it? Someone has failed me! I refuse to blame myself.

Anyway. Jen and Cash start having sex, even though they know her brother will be pissed. And it’s hot.

“Stop reining it in,” she clarified with a frazzled look in her eyes. “I won’t break, cowboy. So stop with the slow and gentle routine and do what I know you want to do with me.”
He hissed out a breath. “What I want to do is fuck you like a goddamn animal.”
“Good. Great. Now do it.”

And then Dylan comes over one night to watch some football and Jen blurts out her favorite fantasy is to watch two men pleasure each other. With some tequila floating through their system, Dylan finds himself on his knees in front of Cash. And Cash is all about it. I think we all need to take a moment and bow to the awesomeness of this scene.

And then, shoving his hand in Dylan’s blond hair, Cash guided that hot male mouth to his cock and settled back to enjoy his first blowjob from another man.

Yeah. It happens. And what I really like is the next day, it’s no big deal. Dylan and Cash are still best friends. There are no feelings of
“I might be gay,” and the end is just a HEA with Cash and Jen. This ménage is a one time thing, but it’s memorable. They do it just for Jen’s pleasure and it didn’t feel forced or just plopped in. It felt right for them to do it, and it also felt right that it didn’t become anything more than a one-night thing.

While this is definitely an erotic book with lots of sex, besides Cash and Jen falling in love and dealing with her stalker, there is also a nice side story with Jen’s brother Carson and problems in his marriage. Jen also starts to figure out what she wants to do with her life.

This book is filled and overflowing with extremely alpha, sexy Navy SEALs. I loved it. When I finished, I went to Amazon and bought the first six of her books in this series (all in the $2-3 range – they appear to be more novella length). I’ve heard the other books in this series are similar with lots of threesomes and oh so sexy SEALs. My kindle is excited.

Rating: B

P.S. After I wrote this review I went back and read the first two books of this series. Heat of the Moment is a very quick (50 pg) novella featuring Garret and Shelby (and a menage with Carson. Hello!). It has a very abrupt end and as I said, super short. But book two, Heat of Passion is really good. This is Carson and Holly’s book and I really liked it.

HOLYFUCKINGHOTNESS!!!!!!!

Its not often that an erotica novel has enough of everything in it to warrent 5 stars.. but damn.. this book more than earned everyone of those stars.. You've got a super hot sexy strong alpha Navy Seal and a feisty beautiful woman.. and sex that is just over the moon hot.. This was without a doubt some of the hottest sex I have ever EV-ahhhhhhhh read. No kidding here.. damn.. just thinking about it gets me all thigh quenchy. And there was a lot of it.. but it all happend at the right time. There was plenty of story going on , there was an actual plot! Throw in one of the sexiest menage scenes ever that started out with a little m/m action.. whoa. Let me say that I have never read any m/m before and never thought that I'd get into it.. but holy smokes.. these two guys were the definition of hot. Two Navy Seals.. I was just blown away.... then the m/f/m action started up and whoa.. the things Cash and Dylan did to Jen.. I was soooooooooooooooo jealous.

There was only one m/m scene and the one menage scene.. it was a first time thing for Jen but Cash and Dylan alwasy enjoyed threesoms.. although they had never done anything with each other before.. but throw in some Patron tequila and Jen and things just got buck wild. But it was so freaking sexy. Another thing I loved about this book is there was no angsty drama.. there is a stalker ex but its not to drama filled. And when Cash and Jen realized how they felt they didnt try to walk away from each other.. this was such an easy read. There was so much to love about it and again.. total freaking hotness..

There are 8 books in the series right now and this was number 7. They are all stand alone but the series revolves around a certain group of Seals and their women. Previous couples were mentioned in this book and one particular couple was in the book a lot but you pretty much know their back ground. The first 6 books were really short.. like under 100 pages each I think. This one, number 7 and the next one number 8 are full length. I'm going to go straight to number 8 since i'm really looking forward to Seth's story. Then I'll go back and read the first 6.. after you read this one you will want to do the same thing.

Soooooo glad I read this one.. LOVED IT!!

- Who is the Hero? Cash McCoy, Age: 27, Occupation: Navy SEAL
~ Cash is the typical alpha SEAL, but I didn’t really feel like I knew much about him beyond that.

- Who is the Heroine? Jennifer Scott, Age: 26, Occupation: none
~ Jen considered herself the family fuck-up. Her mom was a nurse, her dad a retired admiral and her brother a Navy SEAL. And Jenny?? Well, she couldn’t figure what she wanted to do with her life. Add to that, she got involved with a guy who ended up stalking her. So yup, she knew she was the family failure.

Plot overview:
~ Jen’s last boyfriend doesn’t want to let her go, even when she’s made it extremely clear she wants nothing more to do with him. When he turns a bit stalker-ish, Jen‘s protective older brother enlists Cash (his fellow Navy SEAL) to stand guard. Of course the brother is adamant about “hands off his little sister”.
~ “One more thing I forgot to mention. Keep your hands off my sister.”
Cash frowned. “I wasn’t planning on—”
“I’m serious. You touch her, and I’ll drown you. Your building’s got a pool in the back, so I won’t have to go far.”
“You’ll drown me? That’s the most creative death you can come up with?”
“I’m in the navy. I do my best work in the water. And don’t think I’m kidding, McCoy. Touch my little sister and you’re a dead man. She’s off-limits.”

But of course no matter how much Cash tries to resist, the little temptress Jen is someone he can’t say no to.

** The following are my thoughts about this book: **
* *

* * I usually like Elle Kennedy books, but some of the female secondary characters just felt like their only purpose was to be used for the guys pleasure.

Right or wrong, my first impression of a couple of the girls was a lack self respect and the men were just manwhores. Maybe if I would’ve read previous books and understood that this is the tone of the series I might’ve felt a different way. But just jumping into this book first and then learning it’s really all about sex and threesomes, my first impression was negative.

* * Cash has a descriptive threesome scene before he actually sleeps with Jen and it annoyed me. It was two days after he “almost” slept with her. So he had already met, been somewhat intimate with her and then he had this threesome. It won’t bother some people, but I don’t like my hero to have sex with other women after he’s met the heroine.

* * apparently Everyone in this series needs to have threesomes. The book started out with Savannah, Matt and Aidan. Next was Vanessa, Dylan, Cash. Then Annabelle mentioned her threeesomes with Ryan, it was mentioned how Carson used to have threesomes with Garrett. Then Cash, Jen and Dylan rounded out the threesomes for this book. Honestly, it became redundant rather than exciting and enticing.

* * there’s a lot of sex in this story and I thought it overpowered the plot. I’m not one to shy away from sex, but it seemed like every chapter someone was getting lucky or their pants were tenting / panties were wet because they were so turned on.

* * I needed character depth. It was very one dimensional

* * there was a secondary plot with one of the couples from the previous book having marital problems. About as much time was spent on the stalker story as the other couple’s marriage issue. However, no great depth on that plot either and it was apparently resolved with communication 😏

* * I didn’t know hitting someone over the head with a frying pan classified as taking self-defense. Let’s start with this comment…..
~ “The self-defense training my family shoved down my throat paid off, and I got out of the situation with nothing but a black eye when it could’ve been a lot worse.”

The situation - Jen was being attacked and the guy was kind of kicking her ass. She ends up being pushed into the stove and then this…..
~ “She flung out her arm in search of something to grab onto. As Brendan pushed her against the stove, cursing and spitting out angry accusations, Jen fought to escape his grasp. When her hand collided with the metal handle of the cast-iron pan on the counter, triumph and relief exploded like fireworks in her gut. She gripped the handle, then swung the pan at Brendan’s head.”

So, I think of self-defense as knowing how to defend yourself when you’re being attacked. Like kneeing someone in the balls, or punching someone in the face, or knowing how to get out of a hold. I believe any person with common sense is going to know how to grab a cast-iron skillet from the stove and use it as a weapon. The fact that she used that example to say “my self-defense classes really paid off”, was idiotic.

**Overview:**

Downgrading to 2.5* after much deliberation. The writing was...okay but the plot was lacking. I expected more passion and romance from a stalker ex/protective Navy SEAL plot but it just fell flat. It pretty much felt like the author just wanted to write THAT scene which IMO was surprising(?) at best and a turn off at worst. I haven’t read any of the other books in this series but I get the impression it must be just more of the same thing since it’s what everyone is doing right!?

This book was absolutely yum-tastic!

Jenn is the sister of (what I'm guessing) one of the first MCs of this series, Cayden maybe was his name? I listened to the audio and I didn't listen to the first six books of the series. He's a lieutenant. But she is his younger sister and he and they're parents treat her like a child, even though she's 26, because she hasn't chosen her career path yet.

After she loses her most recent job, she goes out with her friends because one of them was promoted. So they're out at a bar. But Jenn sneaks off to the coat closet because she just isn't in the mood to celebrate after losing her job and a break up with her crazy ex.

Enter Cash. He's a navy seal who is at the same bar as Jenn. But he's trying to run away from a groupie, who is obsessed with seals. He ends up in the same coat closet as Jenn. There, in the dark, they absolutely hit it off. And damn near sleep together right in the coat closet until they're interrupted. She gives him her number but he ends up losing it.

A while later Jenn's brother steps into her life and decides with her crazy stalker ex she needs constant protection. He decides Jenn needs to stay with one of his navy dudes. (I don't know the correct term for who is under a lieutenant, lol) And guess who that dude is! Yep. Cash. They again hit it off even though Cayden says Cash is not allowed to sleep with his sister. One thing leads to another and soon enough they have themselves in the midst of a seriously hot fling.

There was so much hot sex in this book. Omg. I had to fan myself a few times! Lol. These two were absolutely adorable. And I lovedddddd them. So so much.

I was also happy with the final chapter. It wasn't a normal "the MCs get married" final chapter. And it was amazing.

Feeling Hot is not only the title for this book but it’s absolutely the best damn description of my state of being after reading Elle Kennedy’s latest Out of Uniform story. I swear right now the song, Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot is so totally running through my head! If you haven’t read this series, now is the time to start. Who can resist Navy SEALs and when they ditch their uniforms for some under the covers, up against the wall, in storage closet, table, shower or any other type of lovin’, these stories cannot be beat! Take my word for it; this is a series you do not want to miss.

This story is about Jen Scott and those of you who have read this series should recognize the last name of Scott. Yes, she is absolutely Carson Scott’s baby sister. Carson was featured in book 2, Heat of Passion, and while he was the biggest man-ho of them all, he holds baby sister to a completely different set of rules. Jen is being stalked by an ex-boyfriend who won’t take no for an answer, Carson’s solution have her move in and be taken care of by one of the men under his command, Cash McCoy. Easier said than done because unbeknownst to Carson, these two have a little bit of a history.

Jen is in between jobs and she’s pretty much known as the family screw up. This title bothers her but even at 26 she’s still not sure what she wants to do with her life. Her family has all kinds of opinions but none of them interest her and they belittle her only passion, her photography.
Cash, I have to admit when he told the story of his name a little tear slipped out. An emotion I really didn’t expect in this book and that wasn’t the only tear I shed. Elle really surprised me in this book, not that I haven’t enjoyed the whole series but this particular story had me running the gambit of emotions. Cash is a new member of this SEAL team so when his CO asks him to “baby-sit” his sister, he’s not thrilled but if it means a good recommendation for OCS he’ll do it. When Carson gives him the “touch her or I’ll drown you” speech, he’s worried but when he sees Jen he’s knows he’s absolutely screwed.

Cash does his best to stay away from Jen but she’s relentless and when these to come together, it is amazing and sexy. When they add in Cash’s “wingman” and preferred ménage partner, Dylan, what results is a scene with enough fireworks to light up the sky for a week. The fact that these two seemingly very heterosexual men decide to give Jen her wish to see two men enjoy each other blew me away. Hot, hot, hot…..grab the ice tray because you are gonna need it HOT!

Over the weeks Cash and Jen fall into a relationship although they both keep saying it’s only a short term affair. It was fun to watch their feelings change and their expectations grow over time. I applaud Cash for encouraging Jen to follow her dreams and do what she wants to do with her life. It was great to watch Jen gain confidence from getting the much deserved ego boost from Cash. It just proves how much people’s words can help or hurt someone.

In addition to Cash and Jen’s growing relationship, Jen’s stalker, the camaraderie we always see from the SEAL team, we learn that Carson and his wife, Holly, are having marital problems. I like that Elle addresses the fact that so many military couples go through an adjustment period following deployments.

I have enjoyed each and every one of the stories in this series so far but, Feeling Hot is definitely at the top of my favorite’s list. The powerful bond between Cash and Jen, the amazingly bold ménage featuring two hot as hell SEALS, and the emotional aspects of this story make this one hell of a great read. Every time I finish a book in this series, I think to myself I can’t wait to read the next one and while that thought is in my head, I’m also thinking I can’t wait to re-read this one! Congrats Elle on a fantastic addition to the Out of Uniform series!

This one was ok, I liked Cash and Jen. However, Cash’s extreme reaction to Dylan giving him a blow job made it seem as if he was more turned on by him than Jen, who he apparently couldn’t get enough of. The out of control lust and reaction he described for Dylan kind of had me wondering if he would have preferred Dylan to Jen, and I don’t like doubting my heroes feelings for the heroine.

Serinin 3. değil 7. kitabı, neden böyle görünüyor bilmiyorum.
Bundan önceki kitaplar hep short romancedı, bu onların aksine uzundu; daha tatmin edici olmuş diyebilirim.

Meh, it was okay. The sex was off the charts hot, if you're looking for threesome goodies. That was the best part. Otherwise, an average, kind of bland romance that touched on military just enough to let you know they are SEALS. (All military romances involve SEALS lately, don't they?) The boys are hot, the girls are fun, quirky, and tolerant enough to stay with the boys, and there is apparently a lot of sharing going on between buddies. As in, pretty much every book has a three way. No big deal, because like I said, it was smoking hot. I kind of expected more from Kennedy after reading her amazing NA series, which I felt was insightful, clever, and uber romantic. This was just not at the same level. I'll probably read another though, especially if I get stuck with some PG romance...yuck :D

Warning:

Do not read/listen to this at work.

Holy smokes, this was HOT.

Again, this isn't anything deep or earth shattering. This is just good old smutty smuttiness. Need a fun and sexy transition book, look no further than any of these books.

Full of laughs, drama, alpha military men, steamy sex, a little m/m action and just enough suspense to keep you on your toes, I really recommend this book!!

Dual-POVs, HAE. (Can be read as a standalone)

I'm shell-shocked. I'm floored. All by one series . I need an intervention because the goods in these books are GEEWWWDDD. Lord help me. My weakness is buff men in uniform, and sprinkle in the occasional menage?

Even though these are some of the smuttiest books I've ever read in my young(ish) life, the love stories are so damn addictive. All of these hunks have hearts of gold, humor to match, and enormous... assets? I'm trying my hardest not to be too vulgar, but after reading several of these books in a row, my brain is firing at full speed, blaring SEX at maximum volume.

"Again," she said with a groan. "We need to do that again."
His guttural laughter tickled her forehead. "I think I've created a monster."

In this installment, we meet Jen, the younger sister of Carson, the teams' LT. She's in a bit of a predicament, having lost her job and having her ex boyfriend become a psycho stalker all in the same span of time. When her ex becomes a bigger issue, her brother takes her to hide at his friend, Cash's house. Cash, of course, has strict instructions not to touch her, and darn it, he tries his best. But Cash and Jen have met before... one night in a club, when they were interrupted before anything good could happen, and this time she's not taking no for an answer.

So begins the days of Cash's torment... Jen walking around scantily clad, making sexual innuendos, subtly touching him... He doesn't know how long he can hold out, until Jen finds a loophole. He can't touch her, but Carson never said anything about her not touching him. That lasts, as you can guess, a total of 2 whole minutes once she gets down to business. Then they literally explode from weeks of pent up sexual aggression.

"I need to touch you," he said, rubbing his cheek on the underside of her breast.
She choked out a laugh. "You are touching me."
"It's not enough. I need to touch...every fucking inch of you."

I really liked these two. Cash was the quiet, but strong type. And Jen was the bubbly photographer, determined to have a fling with this man. At least that's how it starts... (Will they ever learn?)

Somewhat spoilery: GOOD LORD, that menage with Dylan...

Till next time cuties ;)!

PS - I know I've gone allllll over the map with this series, but luckily they're all basically standalones in their own right. All these boys have different personalities, and despite reading them out of order... I've honestly fallen in love with every one of them thus far.

Lots of hot sex but not enough story development. Overall, average.

This one wasn’t as good as others in the series, but it was ok. I was losing interest during the last 20% - not enough happening - kind of tiring. There are two menage scenes two guys one woman. A very hot scene had Jen watching two guys pleasure each other.

There are three stories but not enough development of them. They are:

1. Jen is being stalked and threatened by her abusive ex boyfriend Brendan. Cash the muscular buff Navy SEAL is protecting her. There are only a couple of short scenes with Brendan.

2. Jen’s brother Carson is having marital problems. His story was told in book #2.

3. Jen is trying to find a job and needs to decide what career path to follow.

THE OUT OF UNIFORM SERIES:
I’ve read 5 books in this series. All of them are about sexy guys, steamy sex, and each guy is totally devoted to one woman (with the exception of #9 - two guys one woman). I am so pleased that the author is not using undesirable plot devices that are used by too many romance authors. What she does NOT use:
1. stupidity
2. the big misunderstanding
3. one person falls in love and decides to break up with the other, because it will hurt too much if they break up in the future.
Yay!!! Thank you Ms. Kennedy for not using these. I can enjoy these stories.

I don’t want to read novellas, and there are six of them in this series. But I did read one novella and all the close-to-full-length-novels. My ratings are:
3 ½ stars #2 Heat of Passion (novella)
3 stars #7 Feeling Hot
4 stars #8 Getting Hotter (main story Seth) (secondary story Dylan meets his lovers)
4 stars #9 Hotter Than Ever (Dylan’s story)
4 stars #10 As Hot As It Gets
I suggest reading 8 and 9 in order. They are ok as stand alones, but they are better in order.

DATA:
Narrative mode: 3rd person. Kindle count length: 4,949 (251 pages). Swearing language: strong including religious swear words. Sexual language: strong erotic. Number of sex scenes: about 9. Setting: current day San Diego, California. Copyright: 2012. Genre: erotic contemporary romance, menage.

I definitely had low expectations for this book, which I believe were met.
1) it was free on iBooks sooo it was kinda bound to be not amazing
2) it’s by Elle Kennedy who has a knack for writing douchey MMC and annoying bratty FMC
3) it’s literally the seventh book of the series of stand alones
It was definitely exhausting to try to remember everyone’s names and who was married to who bc of course you have to bring up the characters from books 1-6 and then also introduce who will be featured in the next book. I did end up liking cash (mmc) and he was all protective of Jen (fmc) so that was cute. The beginning of the book definitely had 2 star vibes but it actually improved as I kept reading which is a big plus. So ya. I probably won’t be reading the next one or 1-6 but it was free so I just read it for something to read
