I never read books written by Israeli writers, but I was in a convention and heared the author talking about Jewish mythology.
I searched this book for weeks, partly because it was run out in the publication storage. Finally, last week the book store, Zomet Sfarim, called and said they got it for me.
I couldn't let the book out of my hands. It was awsome.

טראש בכיף! אני בעדו כי הוא כיף, וכי אין לנו מספיק טראש. הוא גם הזכיר לי שאנחנו חיים במרחב ספרותי מאוד "סטרילי" מבחירה, הכל כל כך תקין פוליטית. ואז פתאום הוא בא עם כל ההפרשות הגופניות, דמות ראשית דוחה עבור הרבה קוראים, ובאופן בלתי מתנצל הכניס את זה לספר הרפתקאות שמתרחש ממש פה סנופי ארצנו.

First of all, did I like it or not... It was not bad and if I take into account the fact that I am less familiar with Israeli authors in SFF it may not be as bad as I may attribute to it.

Good Vs Bad {or in this case, Evil}.
I found it interesting to read local references to familiar places in our country, but after a while it seemed as if the author insists on spicing up each description with some non whimsical remark as if we expect him to. In most cases it turns into the either local fast food option or past acquaintance of the main protagonist.

The characters themselves barely show any development, perhaps with the exception of the main character who comes into some realization related to his past and being in general, while pretty much remaining the non-believer objectifying bastard, who thinks he is god {a bit ironic in the plot} gift to women, which for some reason makes him a perfect fit for the team.

Any far fetched feeling on how things come to be are excused with the presence of the deity of fate and chance meddling in the background. This includes the character being knocked unconscious several times, but never too serious.

The story itself is a sort of local ghost busters team {working with the authorities but still under the radar}. In some aspects it is reminiscent of Supernatural, which helped me recount several angels etc in the mix.

The supernatural beings vary from ghosts, to different levels of demons and angels, going all the way to deities and creatures from the middle east and Europe with multiple references to the Kabbalah {ASFAICT}, unfortunately not always too organized.

The author's insistence that a lot of the encountered demons are basically creatures who want to sleep with the living, results in the ghost busters scenes, but instead of being covered in green goo, the color is white and of a different substance {I am guessing to please the target audience}.

Though there is loosely fair arc plot to the book, it seems more like a collection of independent scenes \ experiences trying to span the whole spectrum views of the on supernatural history and current perspectives.

There were some comedy moments, which made me smile as the protagonist has to choose potential victims to enter a booby-trapped chamber, but as a whole it was quite tiresome with the final battle involving basically all of the wrath of heavens and its beings.

I think that you may enjoy all of the mythologies references, but less out of the story itself.

Started really good. Really thought it was great story.
It became boring and disgusting.. not liked at all.
