In the second book in the Wolves of Icaria series, Kent remains an oversexed and entirely rebellious young werewolf jockeying for position in the Icarian pack. His refusal to shift into wolf form continues to bring derision from his peers and when the pack's imposing beta wolf makes an unexpected return, Kent finds himself suffering even more under the watchful eyes and firm hands of his elders.
The only bright spot on the horizon is a business trip with dominant alpha Stavros, but a simple jaunt soon turns out to provide a strong clue to the mystery of Kent's heritage. The misbehaved whelp may just have claim to a powerful lineage, but power is not always desirable, especially when there are those who guard it jealously.
Kent struggles against the alpha's control and his own wolf nature often end up costing him more than he cares to pay, but accepting his true nature could result in even more dire consequences, not just for the young Englishman but for all the wolves of Icaria.
Sov Skaars honors the beast in all of us with fast-paced, plot-driven romantic shifter stories. Sov's primary shifter series, The Wolves of Icaria, follows the fortunes of a pack of stray wolf shifters united under a powerful Greek alpha.
This is a pretty solid 4 stars. I am excited to uncover the hidden powers the MC might have. Or what the rest of them thinks he has.
The whelp is not a submissive partner as others think, and I like that! A strong and feisty bottom makes things more interesting. I only hope the MC doesn't go 'dicking' his alpha for real. Verbal is fine but absolutely not in the real sense.
All are fascinating and good except some basic emotional reaction is no-show when and where it should. I also think the MC defers to his alpha's unreasonable demands a little too much. How can the MC still act like everything is fine when his whole life turned upside down just cos of this one guy? I would have raised hell over it. The MC truly has the shortest end of the stick. He is like in a 24/7 TPE relationship in the BDSM terminology, although this book is not about that. He should sock his alpha some to bring some good sense in that bully and not adore him for fcking up his life.
He is worse than a two year old. He is always mad, upset, sulking and pouting. It's getting on my nerves. He was a political major and he doesn't know how to act around others?? He should be able to wrap them all around his finger. Hopefully he grows up a bit in the next book
