Raised by the Order of Solomon, Adam Cahill is one of a rare handful of highly trained warriors bound by bloodline to guard the Seven Holy Seals that contain the End of Days. But ageless forces have conspired towards a prophetic event foretold by numerous cultures and multiple religions, and when that cryptic date arrives, they strike against the order without mercy! Adam's world is shattered, his family murdered, and he is sent spiraling into Hell itself. There, he must find three corrupt souls, chosen by Divinity, to join him in battle against the legendary Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Together, these broken individuals must band together to not only save their own souls, but to decide the fate of Humanity.

“The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Helldiver - Book 1” by the cooperative efforts of the team of Mendheim, Bisley, Kennedy and Jaffee, is a loose but grisly, gruesome and gory presentation of the Biblical account of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, as disclosed in the Book of Revelation.
Simon Bisley is a masterful graphic artist; you can almost smell the brimstone and feel the blood in his artwork. The story in this graphic novel (or comic book) loosely follows Biblical precepts, but the incorporated language and artwork make it clear the intended audience is NOT the Christian world. However, the combination of a Biblical story with very carnal imagery and speech may be just the tool to introduce a previously unreached segment of society to the Bible.
This story will be presented in serial format; Book 2 will soon be released, and the saga will continue. Although likely offensive to some, perhaps to many, Bisley’s artwork showcases incredible detail.
Bisley came into this project with a well-established reputation for his imaginative fabrications; his fans will not be disappointed in this composition. He has created a surfeit of the most hideously revolting and dreadfully repugnant demons and monsters to ever burn in hell, and has created the spot-on hell for them to call home. Every face he has drawn wears its innermost emotions like a beacon in the dark; there is no ambiguity in any of the characters' visages.
This type of manuscript has a limited target audience, and to those fans I heartily recommend they get Book 1 and start following this story right from the start. For others who may be curious after reading this review, I advise caution; by all means, check it out, just be aware this is not your run-of-the-mill Richie Rich comic book. Those were all fine, fun entertainment back in the day. But "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Helldiver – Book 1” is no Richie Rich. As long as you know that going in, you should be prepared for what you encounter.
1. Bible - fancy inspiration, when one like to shock especially book of Revelation 2. Devil - the enemy must be sneaky and sent some lesser evil to mess with the world 3. Troubled main hero with special uber training - kick ass hero is simply must plus if the past and present has hint of tragedy ...shitty family, dead wife. The training is also the must. The main hero must be complete slayer of everything which happened to piss him of like certain demon or demons or cult members or just random cretins. 4. The almighty group against evil - Adam, our main hero, had goal to assemble team who would stop apocalypse. Look the point one Bible and book of Revelation so you have an idea. 5. Misfits - the worse, the better. Adam is enough to freak anybody except his wife and daughter, but he needed in his group three sinners - drug addict (female with boobs and very low leather pants) serial killer aka madman aka former religious fanatic (something which is very ugly but very effective) and the cheater or corrupted senator or whatever the very slimy fellow. 6. Pairing the team against the evil counterpanes aka four horsemen of apocalypse.
Got it?
Alright!
Lets fight and demon intestines are good as shawl in the chilly morning.
