Isabeau Willcox is just the temp at the front desk, so when the mysterious, sexy and notoriously ill-tempered CEO, Chase Drake asks her to be his executive assistant, she's sure there's been some sort of mistake. However, Mr. Drake wants her, and Mr. Drake always gets what he wants.
When she enters his employ, she agrees to be at his beck and call, to be his, but what exactly does that entail? When he punishes her for breaking his rules by bending her over his desk, she realizes she may be in for more than she bargained for.
This 4100 word story is the first part of the "Billionaire's Beck and Call" series.

Now, I know that there's a huge amount of controversy about how these novellas are released and how much is being charged for them as a whole story but they do appeal to me so I'm just going to review them on their merit as a kinky story.
Holy Sexual Harassment Batman
We start with Isabeau who has just taken a front of house receptionist job for a large corporation when she is called on to assist Chase Drake, young handsome billionaire CEO of said corporation. She's mesmerised by him - she can feel the magnetism radiating off him and feels flustered around him.
He's terrifying and gorgeous and, one day, startles Isabeau and she spills her lunch noodles down her white shirt. Chase notice and decides to punish her by bending her over the desk and spanking her to orgasm. Blimey!!
Thankfully, this is just fiction as Chase could in no way hope to get away with something like that in reality and keep his reputation intact.
Yes - it's all kinds of wrong but it was very erotic. RAWR!
Very short and lacking. The female character is worthless and will make you cringe. As the title suggests she was acting like a slave to the male character (which I think had a better character than the female). The big problem with this story that nothing is happening. It felt like a single chapter of a book. Honestly, I did not see any redeeming value with the story reading this one alone. Not sure if the experience is different if all the 9 books read together which I might do at some other time.
A teeny tiny warm up read. The author manages to fit a spanking & fingering scene into such a short book, impressive. I haven't got to know any of the character yet so i cannot really comment on them. On to the next one :)
I expected a lot more to this "book" than what I got. I wouldn't really call this a book. I would call it a short story because only about 50% of my Kindle version is the story. The rest was filled with a taste of what's to come in each of the subsequent stories. This author would have been best served by beginning the book with some type of character intros and then building up to the main plot of the story. Maybe all of the short stories should be combined into an actual a book.
Many people have complained that the 50 Shades books are not well-written. I think if they read just this one short story they may actually change their minds. At least 50 Shades has a real plot.
I won't be purchasing the "sequels" to this story. I want to give this one zero stars but have to rate it with at least one. Oh well.
This is another chapter sex story. Heroine is a personal assistant. Book starts out that she gets sexually harassed by her boss right from the get go. She Loves it. No character build what so ever. Like a bad porno flick, but in written form. Story and sex got so boring that by the end of the 3d installment or whatever they are called, I was skimming.
I really liked this story it gets straight to the point no messing about think I would have preferred a few of the books to be set as chapters for a bigger book mind rather than buy them all in bits like this
Nice BDSM story (currently on part 5), well written and enticing. Missed 5 stars for the whole series from me because unfortunately it is a little too fairy tale - Cinderellaish with out the wicked stepmother and sisters.
This is clear rip off of 50 shades of grey with a less-damaged male protagonist but one that I thoroughly enjoyed, much more than the actual 50 shades. The dirty talk was impeccable.
I tried reading this "book" series three times. Each time I'd forgotten that I'd tried and failed before, hell I may have even finished it on one of those attempts, I have no idea. I just know that I remember the first few chapters and found the book utter shit. It started out interesting enough, but quickly became more and more unbearable to read. Near the end of this "book" (and actually I may have read into the second in the series) it's so ridiculous, annoying, and unpleasant that I give up on it. I don't actually like anything about this book. Too far-fetched, too out of character (in my opinion), too fast for my taste. I felt no connection to anyone, no respect, and no interest. Thus, utter shit! I will NOT be reading this again, as god as my witness!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
It just sounds so interesting!!!
P.S, the reason I can NOT call this a book, is that it's NOT. It's a few chapters of a book. In other words, a money grubbing ploy from publishers to get as much money as they can for something. Instead of being like a text-book with annual "updates", for novels we get "serials". I hate them! TACKY!!!!!!!! That's why I wait until it's all out and get the 'box set', aka the BOOK. I do NOT like things being doled out to me. I'll read a book at my own pace, thank you very much! Book series are bad enough! But at least each book is a whole, a full-length novel with a beginning, middle, and an end (of sorts).
I realize this in a sense is fantasy situation for Isabeau the assistant and the asshole hot boss. But I kept thinking sexual harassment. How did this guy not end up in court with a lawsuit? Or just smacked shitless? Also a few descriptive abuse. 'my mouth went very, very dry. I am talking Sahara Desert dry.' I think, 'my mouth went completely dry" would have sufficed to get the point across. The novella had a 1940's film noir feel to it. She was just your average dame, and he was your too handsome gee, ready to give her what for. I know it wasn't but it just reminded me of that. It is a novella, and in my experience with novellas they don't allow any emotional investment. It does give me the opportunity to sample an author I have never read before. In this case, I didn't like these characters, and I felt I had to suspend disbelieve too much to really enjoy the story. I don't think it was horrible, but it really was not my cuppa.
At His Service (The Billionaire's Beck and Call Part 1)
I bought these books a fair few months ago and just remembered i hadn't reviewed them yet, There are 5 in total, all as hot a raunchy as the last if i remember. This one involved a CEO dropping his assistant from her job and hiring the stand in assistant, within 2 days he's bewitched her, spanked her and used his fingers on her...it's all very un-poetic and what we like to call 'sexual harassment' in the real world, thankfully the lady in question didn't mind it, it ends with him stating he'll never spank her again and her trying to think of a way to get him to.
It's short and cheerful so i'd suggest looking it up :)
Story: 4.5 (a little too fake but sticking a strong story line into a short story can do that)
Characters: 5
Cover: 4.5 (i'd prefer it to of reflected the people in the story)
I was looking for a short story to read, and this is just what you get with this. It was short and to the point. For a first part to a 9 part series it wasn't bad...could have been better but I have read a lot worse. I am however looking forward to reading the full novels for this series that the author is in the process of bringing out. This series has a similar feel as 50 Shades (Dom/Sub relationship) ... I am intrigued by Chase Drake's character and I am looking forward to the rest of this series. I am hopeful that the next part will pick up steam and pull me completely in.
Wow. This was outright bad, zero-star bad. Granted, I had no great expectations but this book... I can't even... Horrible writing, no plot, dreadful characterization, it has it all. No subtlety at all. I'm sorry I could not find any saving grace. Needless to say, I won't be reading the rest.
Had a very "Fifty Shades of Grey" vibe to it. Especially with it starting with her being clumsy and him walking up to her while she is on her knees looking awkward and vulnerable. Things definitely escalated quickly. There is like no back story given so far so it's a little hard to have any real interest in the characters. Hopefully it gets better.
WARNING: read this before purchasing. I am glad to see that a book or "volume " entitled "The Billionaire's Beck & Call SERIES" has now been released. The other 9 books available should never have been released as anything else bit this one book as they are in effect each 1 chapter if a book: this book 1 is 22 pages long!!!!!
I was going to read these series but after a little research, this is way to expensive its a bit by bit story in all it would cost around £15 to get them all and at the speed I read it would not take long to do it far too expensive for hardly any content.
I cannot believe I fell for another serialized book....and this one was so short I got confused...where did it go? about half way through the 20 ebook pages it turns off and gives you what to expect in the future and ads. HA? As for content???? I am not really sure what happened.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Umm... Huh? What just happened? This book was like a 5 page rip off... WTH? Thank goodness it was only $0.99, but I don't even think it was worth that much. I will read the 2nd one, too see if it gets better... If not, I will be done with this series....
Haha, that was effin awesome. For one the author has some major talent and has put a lot of it in this series, thus far. I love the quirkiness and viciousness combined. It was pretty arousing and lethal.
I highly recommend reading this series together. It is a quick hot read, but I think it misses the overall connection between the two main characters and the complexity of that connection that other series seems to hit better.
This was bad. Like Devil Wears Prada meets porn bad. I have no desire to read any more of the story.parts of the next 3 books was at the back of my ebook and tbh if she,d have put it all has 1 story it might have not been so bad ,
This book was so short! I just thought it would be longer. But it was good, very good, I look forward to read the second book. I think that Chase andd Isabeau will give some crazy good chemistry!
