The book of Ezra gave the account of the rebuilding of God's temple that was destroyed and the challenges that was encountered by the Israelites. Despite detractors, God moved the heart of kings and the temple was finally rebuilt. Ezra declared that they were God's people and that God has not forgotten them.
The book also chronicled the unification of the returning tribes as they shared common struggles and were challenged to work together. Later Israel had renewed its covenant with God and had begun acting in obedience to Him.
