Suicide Island è un elegante e raffinato manga per adulti che mischia introspezione psicologica alla cruda realtà di uno scenario violento e spietato. Era dai tempi di Battle Rorale che non si vedeva un manga per adulti tanto crudele!

Dans ce tome 2, Sei part seul en forêt. Il est hanté par des voix intérieures qui le rabaissent. Il parvient à survivre en chassant avec l'arc qu'il s'est confectionné et fait une drôle de rencontre dans la forêt. Une macabre révélation sur l'île se profile à l'horizon du troisième tome.
Un tome un peu lent où l'intrigue principale n'avance pas beaucoup. Deux jours à crapahuter dans la forêt à chercher des cerfs, ça fait long ! Les voix macabres dans l'esprit de Sei apparaissent assez malsaines. J'espère que le prochain tome sera plus palpitant et qu'il y aura davantage de révélations sur l'île elle-même. Lecture un peu décevante.

Really loved this manga, awesome survival manga on an island! Exciting and good story 😻😁👌🏹🏹

Finally the main character plays a part in the story! :)
This second volume is about how he went alone in the woods and hunted a deer with a bow made by himself. There were some lovely details about actual survival skills and tricks, and the part that I loved was when he was about to kill the deer. There were such complex questions such as "Am I worthy of taking the life of such a beautiful creature? And what makes one worthy of doing so?". It was really emotional and deep. I also loved when he received a dog from a senior inhabitant of the island and named him Ikiru (to live) which is written with the same kanji as Sei (life), the main character's name.

This is deep and disturbing series. Makes one think a lot.
