When Duane reveals he's interested in Julyan, the young man is torn between their blossoming attraction, which could turn to love, and the conflicted feelings he has for Auden. Born and bred Cleveland, I earned a degree in technical theater, later switched to costuming, and headed to NYC. Finally seeing the futility of trying to become rich and famous in the Big Apple, I joined VISTA—Volunteers in Service to America—ending up in Chicago for three years. Then it was on to Denver, where I put down roots and worked as a costume designer until I retired in 2007.

I began writing a few years ago after joining an online fanfic group. Two friends and I then started a group for writers, where they could post any story they wished, no matter the genre or content. Since then I've been writing for publication. My first book came out in February of 2011. Most, but not all, of my work is M/M, either mildly erotic or purely 'romantic'. More often than not it involves a mystery or action/adventure, and is sometimes paranormal as well.

Once in a while a book comes along, looking "interesting but harmless" when you read the blurb, but when you actually start reading the story? Wham! It hits you right in the sternum. For me, "One Plus Two Equals…" is such a book. The conflict described in the blurb, that of Julyan being torn between two men and needing to learn to trust his heart sounds pretty gripping. I thought it might end in a threesome, or maybe a couple after some sort of conflict resolution…

Boy, was I wrong. Unfortunately I cannot go into too much detail without giving the whole thing away, and that would be a shame. But, let me tell you, this is not a purely contemporary book with a bit of a love triangle thrown in. This is a very creative, imaginative story that sits firmly in the paranormal genre, and not because it is about ghosts or vampires. Enough said! You have to go and read it for yourself. It is a story with not just one, but two ginormous twists.

If you don’t like surprises and the unexpected, stay well away from this book. If, on the other hand, you can keep an open mind, are naturally inquisitive, and open to something new and different, give this story a go. It contains love, conflict, action and adventure, as well as a healthy dose of creativity. I liked all of it, and while I hope there will be more stories and a series, I can see why this idea, for once, might just need to stay contained within the pages of this one book.

Okay - I liked the idea of this story but it just didnt seem to work for me. I hate it when an author bring a random event/issue out of now where. In this case one of the character didnt know he was a shifter till 20 pages before it ended and it just came out of no where.

Actually this whole story is a mess, I feel cheated after reading it cause its nothing like the blurb. Im really pretty peeved as I really wanted to like this story.

I also couldnt understand why the author didnt write the sex scenes. They would just wake up the next morning after the 'deed' I feel like I was reading a old fashioned historical romance. Dont get me wrong I dont have to have sex scenes in all my stories, I read alot of sweet stuff, but in this case I just couldnt understand why it was left out.

It had been a while since I had read the synopsis. I had marked it as contemporary so I was pleasantly surprised with the fantasy twists. This is a couple...three that I would like to see more of on secret missions. :)

I read this awhile ago, but I didn't care for it. It wasn't totally awful, but it wasn't what I expected or wanted.
