Francesco Giordano wants to retire and turn over his shipping empire to his only son Daniel. But the young, gorgeous, and sexy Daniel is more interested in fast cars, the family jet, and bedding women.

When Francesco decides the best way to make his son grow up is to change his identity and move him away from his Manhattan penthouse, Daniel's world begins to rock.

Sent to a little town in Tennessee, stripped of his family name and all access to money, Daniel finds himself on a mission to prove to his father that he can make it. If he doesn't, he risks losing the family business and billions of dollars.

Country life isn't setting very well with the fast-paced New Yorker, until he meets the woman who stirs up every one of his senses. Katherine is beautiful, sassy, and has no intentions of hooking up with the new stranger in town. She leaves without a word. Will Daniel risk it all to find her?

The plot at the beginning was quite captivating and was enough of a "hook" to hold my interest. The idea of Daniel having to start from scratch to prove himself, was interesting. I wanted to see how he did. But about half way through the book, the author seemed to have run out of gas and started rushing the story and dialogue of the characters. I would have liked to have seen Daniel suffer some consequences for spending all of his allowance before the week was up. In fact, other than having to do manual labor on the farm, there really isn't any explanation for his quick transformation to being responsible. He didn't really suffer anything except losing track of the woman he had fallen in love with. He could have accomplished that in New York City! I really think that the author had a good idea with the story, but I feel like the romance aspect of this book was really lacking in its development and depth. The idea that a billionaire (Daniel's father) would fall in love at first sight with a pauper? Really? Also, why did Daniel call Rosie "Mom," when he had only known her less than a year, but always addressed his Dad as "Father?" Why so formal when they seemed to have such a close relationship? Towards the end, it was obvious that any problem could be solved by throwing large amounts of money at it! It was all so immature that I wonder if it was really written for teenagers? Thankfully I got it free on Amazon and read it on my Kindle App.

Let me start by saying I love a good romance especially if I'm tired and just want to switch off. This was not a good romance. Horrendous is the word that comes to mind. It started out ok with decent writing and an acceptable plot. About half way through it descended to sappy and then rapidly became a cliche ridden pap. I'm not normally this harsh but this book started out ok but then dragged so badly at the end. And what a dragged out end it was. Every time I thought it was the last chapter there was another and another and another. The book could easily have been wrapped up six chapters from the actual end.
It's a free one but not worth the download space. One last comment: the worst part of it was the whole " all women need a rich man to come rescue them" vibe that permeated the second half of the book. What the supposed heroine needed was a backbone and a slap across her "beautiful " face.

Love the story line concept, but horribly executed. Very shallow and superficial characters. A little too 'in the clouds' for my taste.

A Cinderella story for the young and old. Who doesn't love that. My favorite characters are Rosie, Francesco and Carl. Daniel was a good character and I liked his development. Although the POV shifts between scenes, this book gets a good rating from me because I haven't read a love story for older people since 'The Bridges of Madison County' and I long to read those types of books. There is a perception that only the young fall in love which is simply not true. A good read.

If this book were anymore sappy I could have boiled it down and served it with pancakes. Everything is so tra-la-la sunshine and roses. Even the obstacles and difficulties are easily overcome. I really want to meet this family and get in line for mass doling out of money. Are there really people like this? I had a hard time reading this book because they didn't read as real people. I didn't believe the relationships and had zero connection to any of them. Well, maybe the horses... horses are awesome and they don't spew flower over emotional garbage intended evoke tears. Nonsense I tell you, utter nonsense!

Probably the worst book I've ever read. Choppy writing and the story abruptly bounced around. No flow.

This was a well written and highly entertaining story of a spoiled rich guy whose father forces him into the real world without all the glamour and money he's accustomed to. Daniel under the assumed named of John Williams is sent to the small town of Prarie, Tennessee to learn how to make it in the real world. Unhappy with his fathers decision to teach him a lesson Daniel is forced to work hard and quickly finds although life isn't easy that he never took the time to form binds and really appreciate life. He finds friendship is an employee who takes him in and love in a scared women afraid of being abandoned. Through his ups and downs of his new role in life Daniel finds what matters most in life isn't money, fast cars, or fast women, What matters is the bonds of friendship, family and using what you have to better others lives and help a community flourish again. This book is sweet, fun and fun of laughs and surprises. I throughley enjoyed it and hope you do as well.

FORBIDDEN DISCLOSURE

DANIEL (John) & KATHERINE’S STORY

Well, what can I say… another freebie gets me again!!! This was one of the better stories I’ve read this year… great plot and carried out excellently!! Felt to me like Pretty Woman meets Indecent Proposal!! Although Katherine was most definitely NOT a prostitute and Daniel was far from being a working billionaire, the story just warmed my heart! I was cracking up right away when Daniel (John) got to his new surroundings and started shopping… funny how when you have everything given to you ripped away… you start to realize the value of what you had!!

I have to admit Daniel was super pissing me off with his assumptions about Katherine… I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to punch my Kindle over his stupid accusations… Glad he finally came to his senses and not a moment too soon!! It was nice to be a part of the transformation from spoiled rich brat to caring and concerned son!
I really enjoyed the double romance going on with Rosie and Francesco… I had a feeling that would happen… and I’m glad it did…

All the characters were very likeable and enjoyable to read about, even that jerk Sam… he just added a little suspense and action to an already excellent story… I could totally see myself hanging out with people like this… very relatable!

Totally breezed through this book in two days only because my husband demanded I make him some dinner… so I had to take a break for that… damn family… sheesh, you’d think I was their wife and Mother for some reason…. Bwahahaha!!!! The writing just flows and keeps you interested all the time!! It’s around 229 pages on the Kindle version!

All is all, I really liked it… and it was free…I would have gladly paid for it… I honestly don’t know how these authors make any money when they give you all these freebies… Now Ms. Terri Marie, you need to start charging for this one… it’s out there… people know about it… so slap a price tag on this bad boy and start reaping the rewards from the fruits of your labor… Even 99 cents girl!!! Now onto #2 A Perfect Plan…

Daniel Giordano comes from wealth. He has been spoilt his whole life taking everything and everyone for granted. When his father Francesco decides he is looking to retire, he needs his son to step up to the plate and show him that he is capable of running the family empire. He needs to strip his son of all wealth and does so by changing his name, giving him an allowance of $350 per week and putting him in the middle of nowhere, namely Tennessee. Here he will have to get a job and try to make it on his own. Much to the shock of his father, Daniel does just that and actually seems to realise just what a brat he was. When he meets Katherine he is rather smitten with her, especially when he does not have wealth to flaunt and has to work extra hard to get her attention. But Daniel is a bit of a hot-headed man and does not think before he talks. Katherine is wary of men and what they all want, but there is definitely something interesting about “Daniel”. Can these two ever get together and what will Katherine do when she finds out the real identity of Daniel? This story had great potential and the initial plot was great. However, somewhere along the line, it got lost. Also when Francesco got his own love story and then wanted to pay for everyone and everything that was a bit of overkill. Rather keep to one story and leave the readers to guess if Francesco would have had his own love story. The author should have given him his own book instead of adding it to this book. It felt like the author was just trying to fill the pages and it became boring and over the top. At the beginning Daniel was spoilt and then his character grew, he sort of manned up. I was whole heartily rooting for him and then he turned into a wet blanket. As for Katherine, I never really connected with her. And unfortunately I was not a huge fan of hers. So for me, this started out great and then just nosedived. However, if you are into insta love with a fairy-tale concept, then by all means give it a read.

I really enjoyed this book. I teared up a few times. This book really played on my emotions.
Daniel's mother died when she had Daniel. His father tried to make up for the loss of his mother by spoiling his only child. Daniel was rich, and lived wild and free. He gave expensive gifts, and didn't think twice about buying a new car. His father was getting old and wanted to retire. He had worked so hard to start his company. He wanted to hand it over to his son, but was afraid Daniel would run it into the ground. The boy had never did an honest day's work in his life. His idea of working, was taking 5 hour lunches, and flirting with the secretary. Daniel's dad cut off all of his credit cards, and told him if he wanted the company, he had to go to a small town in Tennessee. A small apartment would be provided for him, and only $300 a week allowance. If he needed more, he had to get a job. Daniel struggled. It was the first time in life, he had to watch the price's of item's he needed, and balance his funds. Daniel went to work on a farm and met Rosy. She became a mother to him. This story was very sweet, and emotional. Daniel found himself, and grew up. He learned how to work hard. He also met his true love, Katherine. the struggles that the couple faced drew me in. I was cheering them on, Hoping they would make it. Rosy met Daniel's father, and it was love at first sight. So this book was a double romance. If I had two words to describe this book, they would be syrupy sweet. Daniel and his father, doted on Katherine, and Rosie. Katherine, and rosie was the perfect heroine's for this story. I would recommend this book, if you are looking for a sweet romance.

Didn't like either of the main characters from the start. They were both shallow and superficial and every time they talked to each other Katherine had another meltdown. She was so quick to judge every little thing and fly off the handle--I was actively rooting for Daniel to find a grown-up to fall in love with.

Daniel eventually evolved but Katherine was just awful. She'd order him to leave and then get upset when he listened to her...I just couldn't get past being irritated by her.

I'm also really annoyed that she only started to be nice to Daniel after he began throwing money around for her.

This magnificent reading held me on edge wanting to stay up late just to finish it. My first thought was this book is going to be a romance and a quick read. After the first chapter, I was like where is the kissy-kissy face stuff? I quickly discovered this was a book richly filled with characters and family all with a past, present and future that was still in the making. I could not read fast enough. Yes it is a romance, actually three and yet they unfold so naturally throughout the book, just as life does. The writer did not spend pages and chapters on just the romance but brought me life as seen and lived through by fantastic characters that are eventually formed together as a family.

It was ok.. It felt forced at times and too perfect. I didn't hate it but twards the end I wanted it to be over. I gotta hand it to anyone who puts thier work out there. It takes guts to put your heart and soul into a book but this just didn't do it for me. The bad part is I can't pinpoint what I didn't like about it.

What a refreshing take on a romance novel! It's so great to get to read about what happens to not just the main characters, Daniel and Katherine, but also to their loved ones. This is such a wonderful book with lots of feel good moments and humor. I love Daniel's dad's and butler's humor. Great read!!!

Terri Marie is a new Author for me to read. and I so loved this book. Daniel Giordano is a rich bachelor the heir to sea shipping vessel empire.. His father tried to raise on his own with the help of the butler Carl who had become a friend to his father over the years. Daniel's mother had died during childbirth. Daniel has Lamborhini a new at that all the time 3rd in a two month span)as he is constantly wrecking them going at fast speeds. At any rate, Francesco Giordano decides that it is time his spoiled son needs a lesson in life. So, he decides to send him to Prairie, Tennessee. He got Id with a new name of John Williams, so he had no ties to the family billions and all credit cards were taken away, etc. Giving him an allowance of 350.00 a week, where he must find a job and work his way up to amount to something and learn his own life lessons before taking over Giordano Seas at the end of the year when Francesco wants to retire and turn the business over to him. To make matters even worst he is not flying out on the private family jet but is making him fly coach not first class even and the vehicle waiting for him is a rusted out old truck! They arrive in Prairie and the roach bug infested apartment bldg is stinky beyond imagination. Carl of course was staying in Nashville in a 5 star Hotel to keep an eye on him and to give him his weekly allowance til he could get a job and all. He finds the local bar and quickly is smitten with the waitress Katherine. He spent a rough night and got up and went to the local store and got candles, bug sprays, air fresheners, and frozen foods. Then the grocery stores offered him a job but only PT and only min wage. He said he was grateful but need FT and he was also told he could go to Nashville for other household items. He spent 85.00 in the store and another 57 in gas. Daniel had never had to count his money before and was so unaware the valve of a dollar..Nashville was even more of a challenge. He had to get pots and pan, silverware and such. To the tune of 200 and something, to which he was 40,.00 short. He started to put the pots and pans back but the lady behind him said she would cover the cost and low and behold it was "Katherine". He said he would pay her back! He sped home and sprayed some more and there was a knock, it was Katherine he had forgot his pots n pans well..she told him about farms hiring and jobs were posted in the local store BB. So he went and found the Montoose farm listed. Rosie hired him on the spot and told him to go back, gather his stuff from Beatrice the lady at the apartments and tell her he wants his refund as the state/county has been trying to shut her down due to the condition of her place. He couldnt believe he got 375 back. so at least he has some cash back in his pocket. Now his new digs was a great room in the back of the barn behind the horses..A nice bed, with a table lamp, a homemade quilt. Allot happens in this story, but let's say Rosie is like a Mother to Daniel he never had. Katherine has to overcome her fears of guys 'taking off' once she commits her heart to them. In the end, not only did Daniel learn a HUGE lesson in life but so did his dad, and his dad found love as well. I really enjoyed this book, I loved how the story progressed, how the life lessons were learned, how they dealt with life tragedies, how family is family, how they take care of their own. I certainly will be reading more of Terri's books!!

I liked this book. The story was a bit farytale-ish, but I guess it could happen in some corner of the world right? The whole rich guy falls for beautyful girl and give her everything she could want. But let's not detour from the main story. Daniel is a spoiled brat (although he is a grown 26-yr old man), and I felt like slapping him upside, and leftside, horizontal and vetical, all ways possible just reading of his care-free attitude and taking everything he has for granted! Until his father send him to 'the middle of nowhere' in Tennessee, to learn a few things in life and trully know the meaning of hard work! And still gives him an 'allowance' of $350 a week!! I mean, who wouldn't want that much a week in 'allowance' right? But in Daniel's case, it wasnt nearly enough; he couldnt last the week without it running out and having to accept some $$ from a pretty stranger. Well all in all, he did learn the true value of hard word, and even fell in love along the way.

What I kind of found to be too 'unrealistic' even with it being a fictional story, was the amound of 'generosity' that Francesco Giordano and his son, Daniel wanted to give to the community of Prairie, TN. I can understand doing a good charity here and there, but it just seemed a bit overboard (not that it wasn't a good thing what he did, it was), but they kept mentioning or commenting that like money wasn't an issue, and they got billions. I mean for having first concealed his true identity (refering to Daniel) when he first got to the town of Prairie, and how much they were worth, they sure seemed to be kinda flaunting it in the end when Daniel's true identity was no longer a concern, simply because he had 'learned the lesson his father sent him away to learn', (in a sense).

So, I liked it overall, the romance part of it was cute. Read for yourself to find out how it all works out in the end for Daniel. =)

Well this book was actually really good and not to mention I got it for free.

This is one of those sappy romance books that people like me who love to read about a guy making a girl swoon loves. I mean it took a while of problems and desires until the victory came for poor Daniel.

So basically Daniel is one of those billionaire playboys who thinks they can have whatever they want whenever. I mean he was basically like a Tony Stark in disguise. That is until his father strips him of everything and sends him to good ole Tennessee. (Which is an amazing place not because I live there or anything *cough cough*) He learns to live without all his money and falls for this girl, but has a hard time getting her to fall for him as well.

It is a great book to read for pleasure because there were moment where I just awed at them but then there were moments when I was like why! why would you do that! Overall it was enjoyable but some parts were just annoying so it gets four stars.

Book Review: Forbidden Disclosure: A Billionaire In Disguise Book 1
By: Terri Marie

Wow funny! This book has humor, had me laughing from the start. But there will be some tears. A story of a billionaire bachelor, who gets a taste of the regular life. Life gives him a chance to take a good look at himself, inside and out. Giving him the opportunity to make things right.

Lovely life lessons in this book. It reminds the readers of what really is important in life. Which is the simple things. This story gives a good look into the poor and rich's issues and happiness. Proving happiness is being with the people you love rather you have money or not. Also to never treat a situation the same as other situations.

I'm a big Terri Marie fan from goodreads and borrowed this romance. I love a heroine that isn't a pushover and Katherine definitely was her own woman. The love scenes were sexy and so was Daniel. It was easy to get caught up in the background story and all the different twists that this book took on. Well written, fun, exciting, and it's easy to highly recommend Forbidden Disclosure. It grabbed me in chapter 1 where Francesco changes his son's identity and sends him off to the south. I can't wait for the second in the series. I've read all of her books. The only thing is, I wish this was in paperback.

I really liked this story, a classic Cinderella tale. Only it's set between New York, Michigan and Tennessee.

What can a parent do when you are a spoiled little boy who never grew up? Take away all of your money, cars and credit cards of course. Oh, and send you to live in a small town in Tennessee. But I bet you would never expect to change or fall in love, especially when you never date.

The changes Daniel went through were heartwarming and it was sweet to see his relationships transform the more he changed. A truly heartwarming read that helps to see the good in people when you least expect it.

I thought this was a great book from the first chapter. It kept me very interested. I believe there is a good person in anybody as long as the right circumstances permit and as long as they want to change. When I first heard that this book was part of a series, I wondered how much the next book would be. But I looked at the preview and the second book is not a continuation of this book, but it is a story similar to it but with different characters. I was really impressed with this book. I was in tears by the time I was one third through. It was tears of joy.

Daniel's father cuts him off from the family millions and sends him to a town chosen by the butler throwing a dart on a map.
When he stops acting like the world owes him something , he realizes that money can not buy the important things in life..
He gains an extended family and he wins the trust of someone he has grown to love.. and breathes life into a small town.
Nice writing style but a bit choppy... did not affect my enjoyment of this story and I will be on the look out for more by this author.

Terri Marie wrote an awesome book. From the start of the book I felt sorry for Daniel having been given everything and then to have to prove he could make it on his own. I loved the twist and turns in this book and I loved the relationship between John (aka Daniel) and Rosie. This book did not disappoint in the happy endings either everyone and I mean everyone got one.

Can't wait to read the rest of the series

Forbidden Disclosure had me from beginning to end. Loved it!!

Highly recommended!!!

Wanting to give his son the business, but afraid of Daniel failing. He decided to send Daniel off into the real world. Daniel needed a wake up call and he surely got one. Not only finding out what life was all about, he found love as well...

Author Terri Marie is an excellent writer! You will not be disappointed!!

Not a review just my thoughts.

So I’m pretty sure I got this book for free on kindle back in 2013. It’s been sitting there unread for all that time.

Since 2020 is the year to read as many books as I can from my oldest purchased date this one made the list.

It’s cheesy and poorly written. It had so much potential to be great. But alas it was just ok. A good holiday read either way.
