I enjoyed this amusingly ridiculous Merthur, in which Arthur and Merlin are suddenly extremely sexually attracted to each other despite not even liking each other, a lot. I would've sworn the author is English ( loved the Britishisms, they're my weak spot!), but apparently they are from the US. What do I know though, I'm neither fish nor flesh. Anyway, here's another author I'd probably never have located on AO3 if it weren't for you, my dear friends. And now I'm even contemplating reading Reconcilable Differences, a fandom I don't know heck about. Go me.

This was nothing but hot, hot, hot fun. Well, it was more than that honestly but it was mostly just so much fucking fun, ha, see what I did there?
Actually, the undercurrent of the entire story is probably what made it so good truthfully. It was just a fun and mostly ridiculous way to get to the end.

I'm in love with the Merlin/Arthur pairing. Arthur/Gwen is a bit outdated and so wrong and don't even get me started on the Merlin/Freya pairing.
NOTE: This is fanfiction which is based on the popular, extremely wonderful, mindblowing, fanfriekingtastic show: Merlin. If you haven't watched it, you haven't lived yet and you would NOT be able to appreciate this story fully. Also it would be very confusing, so ending line:just watch it.
Favorite was a lighthearted, romantically sweet read which is perfect for cheering up the saddened, unhappy reader. It has all the elements of a great story: great chemistry and sex between Merlin and Arthur, humour and great dialogue.
People might say that the lack of a real plot just takes away from the wonder that is Merlin and Arthur but I just feel that the author meant it to be that way. astolat took a risk and it paid off. And she did it while making the characters endearingly adorable.
Like Merlin; I just wanted to gather him up and his big ears and coddle him till the apocalypse every single part of the story. He made me laugh;he made me aww;he made me giggle for Christ's sake and this story is less than 14 000 words. I swear Merlin is the perfect best friend to have and a wonderful soulmate for Arthur to have in any life.
And Arthur deserves Merlin as well. He's literally be a shiningprince knight in armour if he didn't keep on thinking those arousingly dirty stuff about Merlin and taking advantage of his innocent bunny-like personality, no matter how hot he is

Usually that worked: he managed to resist the temptation to go inside, and Arthur managed to resist the temptation to order him to come in. At least half the time, anyway. Or close to half the time. Well, it had worked twice so far.

Loved this one. Finished it and went right back to the beginning. It was that entertaining.

Though this story has the beginning and the end, it still feels like a part of some bigger story. There is no plot or development of any kind. There is a lot of mentioning of sex between Arthur and Merlin, though without usual details. You can say they were the first Camelot bunnies :-)
It is not clear why they suddenly can't keep their hands off each other. Or why they act like bunnies in heat even after spending considerable amount of time together while most couples usually cool down a bit.
It is all really about them fucking and getting away with it :-) I am not even sure if I liked the story or not.
Merlin is obviously a little shit and that is something Arthur likes about him more than anything. It is all very fairytalish (even though there is very little magic) so don't try to look at it as some serious read. It's just anything but that. That said, this story is something that can entertain you for hour and a half.

Arthur's recent concerns about Merlin and power were rather more direct, such as wondering whether Merlin might demolish significant portions of the castle in a temper.

I wish the blurb was better, because I don't think it does this story justice. It's funny and sweet. The author does a great job of only giving us what's necessary. This could easily drag out to be 100+ pages of detailed sex scenes and we undoubtably get sick of it very quickly. But instead there are humerus little jumps from an argument to, "hour later while panting in bed after their third round..." It works. And the little Epilogue from Uther is a sweet little full-circle ending.

Can one say HOT too many times?
With this fic I don't think so.
Despite the fact that it starts off with them shagging everywhere it also acquires some depth and feelings without it going sappy, which I greatly appreciated.

This ended up being much more fun than I'd anticipated. From some of the other reviews, I suppose I was expecting lots and lots of sex and not a lot of story. And while they do have insane amounts of sex (is it even physically possible to do some of what they did?), I completely adored the story.
Truthfully, it felt much more like an actual episode of the show than any other fic I've read so far. Both Arthur and Merlin acted and spoke like themselves, they still snarked at each other and bickered delightfully like only they can do, only here they did it while having sex. What's not to enjoy about that?
Fun, funny and delightful to read, this is one I'll for sure keep on a to-be-re-read list.

Arthur/Merline may be my favorite fiction slash, although I have probably read a couple of fanfics only. They just belong together. Their personalities match perfectly. Arthur as the bossy, cocky guy, and Merlin as the dorky, lovely guy.
I like this fanfic a lot, too bad it was so short. Arthur is as bossy as always, and cannot keep this hands away from Merlin. So he makes Merlin his "favorite", his mistress. They are doing it all the time. But it is not a plot with porn; there is nothing very explicit, and there really isn't any plot.
The story is nice and enjoyable, but it does not explain why they suddenly are so horny for each other. It begins like that, and they wonder about it, but we never know what happened. Merlin uses his magic once only, to demonstrate Arthur he is a wizard, so there isn't really a lot of magic/fantasy here.

Like most of Astolat's stories this one is so good. It is short (~13k), smutty, humorous and easy going. The plot is not really the point of this fic, but it is there.
