We revisit the Mad World with Sammie Wilde, where past terrors mix with new fears: unfriendly imaginary "friends", life threatening party-crashers, cannibals, wolf-men that terrorize the local woods and much more madness.
I liked this story a little better than the first in the series. It seemed to flow better and the mad characters in the story didn’t seem to come out of nowhere. I give the story 4 stars.
In the second installment in the Mad series we are again following Ford, Sidnee and Milo but also meet some new characters as well. We follow Sammie (the evil twin) whose twin brother is killed and whose mother hates him. In this story there is a ghost in Sidnee’s new house so she hires a speaker to get rid of the ghost, a were-wolf to stop on a camping trip and mutants in the streets wanting to fight a war. This story was fun, entertaining and well written.
The characters were well written and entertaining with their life choices. The author has a large and vivid imagination when coming up with the different things and scenarios in this series. I am curious to know what is going to happen with Sammie the evil twin in the next book. At the end of the story we are left with a cliff hanger for Milo and I also look forward to seeing if what I am thinking happened or not.
I look forward to reading the third book in the series. I recommend this series if you need a change from your regular type of books or looking for a unique read.
