I’ve returned to the very place I vowed never to revisit, the one I’ve been running from. The cityscape sprawls before me, seemingly unchanged, yet I’m no longer the same woman who once fled its dark clutches.
The illusion of freedom shatters, when I grapple with the harsh reality that fairytales are mere facades, concealing the bitter truth of my existence. As the shadows of my past loom menacingly, I’m faced with a harrowing to keep running or to fight against the suffocating grip of my own family's dangerous games.
I’ve found my own family that’s stronger than my own blood at Roxbury Prep and I won’t give up the chance at freedom.
I’ll get my redemption even if it costs me everything.
I enjjoyed the second book of the series but it just felt rushed and poorly put together. It was all about killing off the major crime family heads, but with very poor planning. Okay storyline and okay sex scenes with them all being together.
The cliffhanger on #reclaim had me dead. I needed more and I needed it NOW. How could you so rudely leave me wondering what happened with Isabella, Adrian and the boys!? It’s cruelty. Thankfully on my drive to Germany, I had signal and was able to buy this short, spicy book two and binge it whilst driving to our accommodation.
I have to say, Madden is sooooo underrated. He. Is. Some. GUY! I mean, phewie. 🥵😅 I can’t even deal or put into words.
This was completely and utterly dramatic and at times, I was shouting at Isabella to chase her guy and commit. Just do it, girl! The grovelling is real. She goes through a hard time with all the boys because of the lies and secrets she’s kept - quite rightly so.
I adored Lily. She was the centre of boys attention throughout the book and the risks they took to give her the life she deserves… their all heroes. Isabella included.
Again, I felt the book was so short we didn’t get the full, in-depth read that I wanted from the characters and what was happening. At times it was not very climactic which was frustrating. I wanted more before getting to the final destination.
However, I really enjoyed the steam (although at times, Madden was testing my own boundaries 🤣) but again, it was SUPER spicy, action-packed with mafia drama, romance and much more. Definitely a quick, easy, sexy read.
Ahh man. I don’t know if this wasn’t edited as well as the first book, but the writing here feels unfinished with typos everywhere. The time jumps that felt like they kept the story moving in the first book now make the story feel disjointed, like a series of independent scenes that are waiting for connecting scenes to be written. While I still enjoyed the plot, I really wish the authors had taken more time to edit this before releasing it.
Absolutely loved this second and final book of the duet. Lily just makes the book adorable, and there's nothing better to me than MMCs who are all in with the FMC once they're in like these guys were with Addie. And they listen to her? And include her? Just wow. Lol. Now I need to figure out which Belle Harper and/or Jenna Daring book to read next!
Like I said her old fashioned father underestimated her abilities, emotions,tenacity.. she had four different men fall in love with a broken, sheltered, bird in a gilded cage.. they all needed a way to change their futures and have a new family they created…
What can I say the perfect ending to a fantastic duology. This story wraps up so well, and I loved everything in between. 🌶🌶🌶 out of 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 The Spice is hot, but there are only a couple of spicy scenes throughout.
I give this one 3.5 stars. It was a fun, quick, multi POV read. It wraps up the Duet of the Mafia Princess of Roxbury Prep. It starts shortly after the shocking ending of book one. We follow all the characters as they find a way out of the life they were born into. Isabella and the guys all come from a life of abuse and trauma; they are trying to face their situations head on. Be advised there are some dark themes in the story, please check all trigger warnings before proceeding into Roxbury Prep.
Some of my favorite parts of this book are the relationships Addie develops along the way. She formed some great friendships that need repairing. She will need to grovel a bit from her deception in book one. Once the friends and the boyfriends understand what's at stake, there's no turning back. They are all willing to play their part for a better future.
I love that they all pull together to solve their family problems together to protect Isabella and Lily. Nothing is too large of a conflict to conquer. They form a prefect happily ever after with each other. Isabella goes from a life of pain and suffering to being the center of her mens world. If you enjoy a mafia romance, with action, lots of stream and drama. This will be a fun read to pick up.
Loved loved loved and a great way to end the series. I really wish we would get another book but who knows. I’d sure love to see Addie, Arrow, Emilio, Madden and Keegs again. Life works in mysterious ways for Addie. Being a Mafia Princess who was raised to obey and be married off by her father’s choosing. Each of Addie’s men complete her in different ways. From her childhood best friend and her first love who leaves her. Arrow has been by her side since forever always protecting her. Heading to Roxbury and finally getting a bit of freedom, Addie meets two Irish ☘️ hotties. The journey is not easy and the love they all have for one another is like nothing else.
Great book. Quick read. I love mafia style books and this did not disappoint. This is book 2 in the series. All of the characters are amazing. First off Isabella and Emilio were friends growing up. She was sent back to Roxbury prep with him. She lost her two best friends at school because she didn’t tell them the truth about who she was. But she was able to clear the air with them. I’m so glad. They all needed each other. I love everything that happened in this book. They all got what they deserved. So good. I love how it all played out. You have the bodyguards and all the people that want to protect Izzy/Addie and they all have their reasons. This is a must read.
