After hearing a lot about this series, I decided to give it a go! And I’m really glad I did. It was quite entertaining! The plot line was great. Although at times it seemed unrealistic. But none the less, I had a hard time putting these books down because I had this undying need to find out what was going to happen. Harlowe was a bad ass, but I still felt sorry for her and everything she was going through. I wasn’t expecting the ending.

That is how to read a series!!!! I hate serials.
I enjoyed this book. Very suspenseful but half of this/these books are filled with "catch you up" dialog at each juncture making this read a bit tedious. Great strong girl character.

A very average reverse harem that I only finished because I had already paid for the audiobook.
Very little steam almost no sex and that might be good for some but this reverse harem fan requires something much hotter!! The twists and mystery were interesting but were also extremely slow and I found myself constantly checking how long I had left because i was desperate for the end so I could move on to something better!

This is almost a murder mystery type of series, and that's where most of the darkness comes in!😱 Harlow & her Mum Penelope are both lovely people. They've had a tough go of it but they're prepared to start again in a whole new place to finally start to drag themselves out of debt & to claim a new start in life!🙏🌟

This is a dark, passion filled harem murder mystery. It's quite emotionally mature for a YA of this type. I wouldn't class it as a bully romance, thankfully.👍🙏 The Kings are wonderfully complex & three dimensional characters. I highly recommend this steamy, dark & scary read!!🌟👑

Wow! this series was a first for me from Callie Rose, and she did not disappoint! This story had such a good plot and twists and turns you didn't see coming . I absolutely love every single of the these guys Lincoln Chase Dax and River are everything you could hope for in bad boys! Harlow is the perfect girl for these guys. I could not put this series down I just had to know how it ended, and I could not be more happy with it! Definitely will be checking out more from Callie Rose.

This was my first RH read and to be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about this trope. However, I couldn't put these books down based on character development and plot. I totally fell for each of the boys just like the MC did. They were so well written and this story was engaging. It wasn't anything like I expected. If you're considering your first RH read I'd recommend this.

Spoilers ahead.
- The Help:
I’m writing these reviews as I read because I downloaded the full set and bit each book separately.
So far, although this book had mildly kept my interest, I’ve spent more time rolling my eyes than being genuinely sucked into this book.
She made such a big deal about her port in the very beginning, yet Linc has seen her baked and her inner monologue didn’t even address that, nor did he? Teenagers are incredibly nosy. I can’t imagine he’d see a potentially decent sized scar on her chest and not even ask.
Her complete lack of self respect is also annoying. Those boys have humiliated her repeatedly, insulted her, set her up to be a target of bullying by the entire school, and yet she only seems to think about how attractive they are and how much they turn her on? Gross. That’s not even close to realistic at all.
Unless you just don’t have any respect for yourself or have any standards.
I was almost impressed when she snapped at Linc and refused to let Chase touch her, but then one conversation with Linc and she’s all about doing what they say.

Then he decides to kiss her in the middle of an argument and she’s just all for it. No apologies, so communication on anything that he’s done to her.
Then as soon as he’s done kissing her, he insults her again, storms off, and she follows him for more insults and allows him to kiss her again.
Then they have sex without a condom against the wall? I just can’t even. No discussion or even thoughts of STDs or pregnancy. Jesus.
The ending of the book was intense, but predictable. I’m going to read The Lie and see if this mess is worth it, but the first book was crap in my opinion.
- The Lie:
Five chapters in and I’m already annoyed with this book took. Harlow is seriously pathetic. I don’t care what the reason is, but she doesn’t even have one. Those boys lied and let her mom get carted off to jail, yet her inner monologue still mostly consists of how attractive they are, how they smell, how much she needs them. Gross.
I’d be horrified if I raised a daughter like that.
Then the twins give her some bullshit answer about protecting her and her mom by lying and she apologizes. Jesus Christ. These are supposed to be kids.
It’s amazing to see such adult thinking at some points and childish crap he majority of others.
It did get better and was easy to forget just how annoying the second book started.
I do wish there was more of a foundation built between Harlow and the guys though. It really is just bullying to suddenly together.
The cancer thing is starting to aggravate me too. Throughout the two books, we’ve discovered that Harlow had Cancer when she was ten, there is talk about huge amounts of debt, and the fact that she almost died, but yet she beat cancer in less than a year.
The author really didn’t put a lot of thought into her time lines.
Nor is any of it realistic as far as her childhood cancer or River being almost deaf.
Zero talk of sign language. He’s apparently almost completely deaf and lip reads well, but there are too many variables for anything to be remotely believable.
It also seriously pisses me off that his hearing impairment is constantly used as an excuse for it to be unsafe for him to drive.
I’ve known several deaf people throughout my life, not a single one of them had to give up driving for safety reasons.
Overall, this book was much better than the first. Although, it was rather obvious in my opinion that Mr. Black is not guilty and it somehow has to connect to the judge.
Her mother was, after all, with him the night Iris was killed.
- The Risk:
Two chapters in and I was pretty impressed until Harlow started going on about how River couldn’t drive because his hearing impairment made it unsafe. Seriously won’t read anything else by this author. She’s obviously ignorant and doesn’t even attempt to research anything before she write garbage.
This book was way too drawn out. A ton of details and crap that we honestly didn’t need. It really seemed like a bunch of unnecessary filler in order to just keep the book going.
The suspense wasn’t even suspenseful, because the entire book was predictable.
Overall:
It was super unrealistic that foster care never got involved, the childhood cancer and drama involving that was unrealistic, and the bullshit about River not being able to drive because of safety reasons due to his hearing impairment was unrealistic and insulting af to the entire deaf community.
The only reason I finished this series is because I really try my best not to abandon a book unless I absolutely have to.
I wouldn’t recommend this series at all.

I loved this series, and now I have them all in one collection. Not to mention the cover is stunning. If you haven't been introduced to the Kings of Linwood, this is the perfect book!! I highly recommend this series for the dark romance fans!!!
THE HELP:
What another amazing read by this author! I fell for her first start of the new series Savage Royals. This is just as freaking good. Going in I knew that is was going to be so good, and I was right. It was everything I thought it would be and more.
Lincoln, Dax, Chase and River. Are the kings of Linwood Academy, they have it all. Everybody wants to be them, or hang around them. Enter Harlow, The Help, but she is anything but just the Help. She is fierce, and strong. And she is about to show these boys just exactly who she is and what she is capable of. But they don't call them the kings for nothings. Even though the chemistry is off the charts, things don't always go according to what we want.
Guys I am telling you this was just exactly what I was waiting for. So good in every way we want our stories to go. The writing style is fast paced, characters are on point, are the guys bullies or do they have a reason for what they do. Even though there is a cliffhanger, don't let this stop you. It is so worth it!!
THE LIE:
I am absolutely loving this series. If you thought that book one, The Help, was good. Wait til you read The Lie. Which was previously named The Game. As you know so much happens in The Help. We meet our lead characters Harlow, Lincoln, River, Dax and Chase. And you are going to love Harlow as a female lead. She is strong, smart, funny and loyal. The guys, you will hate to love them, and then if you're like me, just love them. And then maybe hate them again.
In The Lie, we pick up where book one left off. That was a big cliffy so I was anxious to see what happens. I was not disappointed. The start of The Lie has Harlow very upset with the guys. The question is how can they possibly win her back. You definitely have to see why they did what they did. Which I have to say, I was like why didn't I see that? The story itself is full of suspense. How can Harlow find out who is framing her mom, to who could possible by the killer. We get a surprise suspect, which I could totally see as the bad guy. Well done Callie on throwing us for loops. The guys are back in full force here. I have to say that poker game was smoking hot!! Prepare yourself!! There is a cliffhanger, but in my opinion leads into book three The Risk, nicely!
THE RISK:
What an ending to a great series!! I have been so hooked on this series from the beginning and to finally see the ending was both bittersweet and awesome!!
Here in the final book The Risk, Harlow and her guys are risking it all to clear her mom, and put the guilty party away. But things are not what they seem. There is more to the bad guy than just wanting to hide something, he had plans. Plans that are dangerous. But Harlow will not back down, which forces the guys to back their girl. But the question here is will it cost them their lives?
Callie did an excellent job of tying up loose ends here. We get to see the dynamic of the group and how well they all work together. Harlow, is such a freaking awesome character. She fights so hard for her mom and the guys, I just love her. The twins, are hot as hell. Linc and his protective nature, I fell for him so hard. River, he is just what every girl wants and needs in her life. Together they are a kick a@@ unit, and to see their story unfold has earned this series my top favorite. You have just the right amount of action, steamy scenes, drama, and suspense. And can I just add that the sex scenes really were freaking hot!!

Hot reverse harem high school murder mystery
Harlow and her mom move from Arizona to a wealthy east coast town. Her mom is hired to be the live-in Executive Housekeeper for the Black family. Their teenage son Lincoln and his best friends, River, Dax, and Chase hate Harlow immediately. They rule the school and lead her torture there. Then the five of them witness a murder by a man in a mask.
I liked this a lot, but I wouldn’t want to read it again. Murder mysteries have much lower re-readability for me, since I’m not going to forget who done it. I’m not a big fan of mystery novels in general, so it’s harder to make me love them. And this is very long. I can see why it was broken into three books, but it felt overly long. The pacing was good for most of this, but I got bored for a while in the third book.
This is definitely teen erotica. If you’re against that, walk away now. Personally, I’m a fan. I don’t want to do things with teenagers in real life, but I like to imagine myself back as a teenager. And reading about teens having sex doesn’t bother me. When I was 16, everyone I knew was having sex. I haven’t forgotten that just because I’m older now. It’s actually quite realistic in that regard. There are many sex scenes in this, some with just one guy and others with two or all of them, but there is a lot more story than sex here. Recreational marijuana use appears a few times here, which also matches my teenage experience.
I liked all the characters. Harlow isn’t timid. She’s got a mouth on her and takes the initial abuse well, doesn’t cry and moan about how unfair it all is. She just says how these rich fucks must be bored. I liked that Harlow had a very realistic reaction to seeing someone die. She goes into shock for a bit and then can’t sleep or eat for days. Too many times I see characters handling things like this like it was no big deal, the story on to something else. I’m glad to see a realistic reaction for once.
I loved that all four of the guys had distinct personalities and weren’t just clones of each other, even the twins. Chase and Dax are almost identical twins but have enough physical differences to be told apart. Their personalities are widely different. All four guys are somewhat possessive and protective, but they don’t smother Harlow. I also loved Harlow’s mom and that someone in this novel has a good parent.
1st person present tense, all from Harlow’s perspective.
This novel is well edited until the end of the third book. I found 3 errors between the first two books. I found 11 errors in the third book alone, mostly subject-verb agreements.

I found this box set through a rec made by a friend and this is what I think.
Book 1 ⭐⭐⭐: I get what the author tried to do with the story but I think it was no executed properly.
I didn't get how Harlow could talk back to some people but she never..ever talked back to the guys. She literally just shut her mouth and let them do whatever they wanted. She never asked them for an apology neither did they apollogize for the bullying at any point. Without actually acknowledging any of this she started what she started with all of them.
Where is informed to all of us that she was sick, I didn't understood the "Why" given that it is not talk about nor used as a plot device through the story.
Overall I Didn't find this book something thoroughly enjoyable. More of the three stars are for the sexy scenes and the suspence/ mystery moments.
Book 2 ⭐⭐⭐: This book really wasn't better nor worst than book one to be honest. I think the cliffhanger and the open plot from book one was resolved so damn easy and actually left "Low" as the asshole and the fact wasn't approached again.
I didn't get the overall plot of this book to be honest it was the same as book 1.
Most of what I liked was the realtionships formed through the book and the doze of Mystery.
Book 3 ⭐⭐⭐: Well, this was actually a good finale for this trilogy. It kept the same tone and never wavered. There's not a fun moment at any part of the story. The three books are stiff and tense. Either they are fucking, thinking about fucking or investigating.
So this book was exactly the same as book one and two.

Harlow and her mom move to a new town for a job as an Executive Housekeeper. But her mom gets framed for murder and Harlow has to help figure out who really did it to keep her mom from going to prison.
In the meantime, four guys she met through the son of her mom’s new boss help her with the investigation and they all grow closer along the way.
Overall this is a pretty mediocre RH series. The plot is predictable and boring. The characters are flat and dull. And the relationships don’t feel very genuine and passionate. I can’t say I’d recommend it. There’s a lot of better RH’s our there.

This is a bully reverse harem series with a murder mystery aspect. The bullying is fairly light and doesn’t last very long for the guys to turn protective over Harlow.
Harlow and her mom move across country for a job opportunity as a housekeeper. The boss’s son does little to hide his distaste for both Low and her mom, but the question is why? Linc and his friends put word out at the school that Harlow is ‘only the help’ and so everyone bullies her and throws trash at her. When Low & the guys witness a crime, things between theme shift.
“I choose you. And watching my best friends fall for you? It makes me fall harder right along with them.”
I loved all of these characters. Low isn’t an over the top can already kick ass type of strong FMC but she’s strong nonetheless. Her guys are all protective and a close knit group you can’t help but love. Did I mention two of the guys are twins? Ahem. 🤤 I love the twins playfulness and Linc’s protectiveness, but River is hands down my fave tho, just saying.
The story flowed easily and was definitely a page turner. I also felt like the spice ‘fit’ with it being high school seniors and wasn’t over the top.

I finished this book a few days ago and I honestly wish I would've maybe read one book at a time instead of a whole. Another issues is that maybe I assumed too much on this one.
So the angst doesn't last very long between the h and the four boys. I was looking for more of a build up (it's more of my personal preference) and it fell flat for me.
Book One's cliffhanger was the best. Going into book two...yeah, it took her two seconds and barely and groveling and she brought the boys back.
The story is mostly based on some events that her mother allegedly did (without giving away too many spoilers). I found myself skimming a lot during this book. The writing wasn't bad at all, it just had a lot of description and "talking" about what the h did, when she took a shower, blah blah blah.
Surprisingly though I didn't have a favorite dude, I liked them all.
The sex scenes were alright, wasn't what I was expecting again with some of them but I did like how they all had their "own" time.
All in all — 3.5 stars for me on this one.

Ugh, I absolutely loved this series! It had the perfect balance for me, the right amount of bully/angst so that nothing done was so unforgivable where you’re shaking your head at the FMC for forgiving the boys easily as it’s too unbelievable! Instead Callie Rose wrote this so perfectly and the growth of Harlow’s relationship with Lincoln, River, Chase and Dax was so natural and the perfect burn 🔥
Loved the twists and turns and I read the whole series in 2 days, I was addicted! All the guys have my heart completely, I love Lincs protectiveness, the cheekiness of the twins but River, UGH, I just love him so much! These characters will stay with me for a while! I’m off to join Callie Rose’s Facebook group now to hopefully talk about them some more and of course check out her other series, this is my first read of her and definitely won’t be the last 🖤

2.5⭐️ 2.5🌶
I don’t even know where to begin. I’m trying to evaluate objectively because I personally like my bully reverse harems much darker and with more spice. However the bully factor here was comical. Here is the “torment” Harlow endured:
- Received loathing glares from Lincoln😱
- Overheard the 4 boys whisper about her body by the pool. Where she then proceeded to kick one of the boys’ phones in the pool, so then she had to retrieve it, then ended up being nicknamed Pool Girl as a result.
- Having the boys introduce her at school as Pool Girl and announce that she is a maid, then kids threw trash at her -ok so maybe that was not cool
- Resident mean girls had others trash her car
- Resident mean girl pushed her in the cafeteria and she made a mess, but then is defended by one of the guys
- Lost money in a poker game by way of the boys cheating to teach her a lesson about her cheating
- Had to clean up during a party in her pajamas after she wandered from her room and crept up on 2 of the guys hooking up with someone.
- Resident mean girl changed her grades to make it look like she cheated.
Look, in retrospect I have no one else to blame but myself; I should have DNFd this straight away. I’ve never read a series with more underdeveloped characters. Honestly, the only thing we learned about 2 of the MMCs are that they are twins, they like double teaming girls, their parents aren’t interested in their lives, they like to smoke weed, and they don’t like that they are only seen as 1 person. Literally that’s all we know. But somehow they’re in love and literally willing to die for Harlow and vice versa. Good lord, they don’t even sleep together until 85-87% in.
I stand by my earlier assessment that this should have been a romance between Lincoln and Harlow because that’s the only connection that even felt remotely real. This was a “reverse harem” by strict definition but by no means is this what I think of or want to read about in a RH romance.
Beyond this, Harlow’s inner monologue was just brutal. Like so, so bad. The narrator was also really bad, so that definitely didn’t help. Sorry, can’t even conjure up any more eloquent words than just “bad”
Anywho…I guess this series could be for someone who’s YA and into a semi suspenseful plot and wants to get to the love without going through the character arc that, for me, is essential in a bully romance.

Une lecture plutôt surprenante, je n'avais jamais lu un harem inversé, je ne suis pas déçu de celui-là.
L'histoire est vraiment intéressante du début jusqu'à la fin, l'enquête est vraiment bien amenée du début jusqu'à la fin.
J'ai deviné en même que Harlow qui était finalement le vrai coupable. J'ai été très surprise !
Au début, je me disais qu'il aurait sûrement beaucoup de passage "Spicy" mais finalement pas autant que cela !
J'ai beaucoup apprécié le personnage d'Harlow qui ne laisse aucunement intimidé par les 4 rois de l'école Lincoln, River, Draw et Chase.
Les garçons ont un lien très fusionnel et presque fraternel.
Ils sont tombés amoureux de la même personne, ils font tout pour la protéger et parfois, ils commettent des erreurs. Harlow ne les pardonne pas immédiatement et les laisse se manger des vents assez drôles.
Pour une fois, l'auteur n'a pas fait le choix d'un choix parmi les garçons. Même cela peut choquer certaines personnes. L'amour ne se contrôle pas, nous pouvons aimer plusieurs personnes dans le respect des uns et des autres.
Une lecture très intéressante addictive, une enquête prenante, des personnages attachants !
Une lecture sans prise de tête, une découverte de lecture plutôt sympathique.
Il a des scènes qui peuvent heurter la sensibilité d'autrui, surtout bien lire les TW !

Good story!
Kings of Linwood Academy by Callie Rose is a good story about a girl whose mother takes a job as an Executive Housekeeper. This job changes Harlow's life in many ways. She meets Lincoln her mom's employer's son who is one of the four Kings of Linwood Academy. The Kings get her into a dangerous situation when they witness a murder. From that point everything changes. One of their loved ones is arrested for the murder. Because they know that the police have the wrong person, they're all in danger and while they're trying to clear the loved one's name and find the one they witnessed murdering their classmate, they're exploring their relationships with each other. Callie Rose's Kings of Linwood Academy is a good read. The novels contain cursing, sexual scenes, and violence.

Pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this read
I'm usually not a high school/academy girly. I was mostly able to age them up in my noggin as a read, though, and im glad for that and that I was able to read this because of that. I loved the characters in this series and the plot. I love all the boys, and I can't even pick a favorite out of them.
The plot was intriguing and kept my interest throughout all three books in the set, and it was wrapped up well.
Also the spice was, in fact, spicing. It's not the kinkiest or most, idk, involved spice, if you will, that I've ever read by any means, but something about the characters and their dynamic made it WORK.
I'll definitely be looking into more from this author.

I made it through the first book but that is when it went downhill fast. When the kings convinced Harlow that they let her mom get arrested to protect her and find the killer, I checked out. The argument made very little sense but she bought it and soaked them up. And all the while her mom was in jail for a crime they knew she didn’t commit. I skipped to the end of the book after that. I wouldn’t have made it through 2 entire books of that. Then when I skipped to 87% the book just got weirder. The ending made no sense. It was completely science fiction. There is no other explanation for it.

One order of twins with a side of two extra hunks please!
Kings of Linwood Academy literally blew me away! This was my first book/series by Callie Rose and it certainly won’t be my last.
I wouldn’t really call the series as a whole a bullymance since the bullying only took place in the beginning of book one but I would call it dark! Honestly this series was like a steamy Nancy Drew and I am here for it. It was definitely a different take on the rich boys/normal girl academy romance. With Harlow and her mom both living in Lincoln’s mansion and working for his family it brought in a whole new aspect and dynamic that you don’t usually have.
I really loved this series and would HIGHLY recommend it!

If you're really into melodrama then this is the series for you. While i think in some cases our FMC has appropriate reactions, most of the time she has full on dissociative episodes and panic attacks. It became... tedious.
Also, the persual of Judge H was so wildly inappropriate I cannot even put it into words. I understand the literary necessity for it, to push the story forward, but realistically it was not a thing anybody would do...
The spice was meh.
Character development was never even attempted.
Narration was not great - a bit whiny (definitely added to that melodrama thing) and she pronounced MANY words incorrectly.

I loved this series so much and I was sad to say goodbye to these characters! I’m glad I have them in all one book! I loved Harlow as a FMC she was tough, strong, resilient and intelligent. Her guys each complimented her and each had their own personalities and characteristics. I loved watching the relationship grow through the book whilst watching them grow as characters. This book has literally everything! Murder, mystery, suspense, romance and intrigue! It has it all!! The hotness it off the charts!

I read through book 1 and 2 very quickly, but somehow got stuck at book 3 because of the complexities surrounding Harlow's mother's framed murder and all the circumstances that happened around it. I do love that there are no complications around Harlow and the kings' relationships, but the grittiness of the whole situation is what gave me pause. Still, I love the writing, the plot, and the down-to-earthiness of the writer's style. I will go back to her again and again especially when I want some MFMMs.

Ah! If I could be like Harlow Thomas, I would be happy! Being able to connect with the four Kings of Linwood Academy! Going through ALOT together and still never losing a part of each other. If anything, all became even stronger in the end!!
How they first met may have been a front, especially how the kings first treated Low. But they all knew they would get past that into something deeper and meaningful! River just happens to be my favorite out of Dax, Chase, and Linc!

that’s a long read……
If you do them back to back. Mystery, bullying, murder, smexing and poly awakening. These 3 books have all of that and more. I have to say it’s proper to call these the Kings of Linwood but most of the time the the kings was used that actually bothered me. One lucky/unlucky girl, in the middle of 4 different boys, dealing w high school issues and a miser. Very good read.

Harlow’s mum has taken a job for a live in cleaner and part of the package is a new school. When she meets the owners son Lincoln, things don’t get off to a great new start but soon along with his friends, twins Chase and Dex and River, things get even worse.
There is more than meets the eye with the rich and soon secrets are revealed and a growing friendship is formed which turns to more but they are in danger and it’s difficult to know who to trust

YES!!!
OMFG YES!!! This series had absolutely everything I needed in a series! Drama,suspense, anger,sadness, emotions everywhere, steam and of course LOVE with a HEA!!!!! I think I'm going to be in a book hangover just just a little while because of how good it was, bloody freaking fantastic!!
All I can say is.... READ THE BOOK!!
