A Very Present Help

Rate this book
When the Martin family gathered for morning prayer, they had no idea what lay in store that day. It was farm life as usual. But that afternoon five-year-old Nathan's head was crushed under a tractor tire. Told by Nathan's mother, this is a story of grief and guilt, hope and healing-and a testimony to the God who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Excellent story of healing, hope, faith, and love. The writing style wasn’t my favorite and she could be a little self righteous for my taste, but the message holds true. I would love to know how their son is doing now. This was originally published in 1987, so he would likely be in his 40s now.
