Mayfield is a fictional Yorkshire village where the community pulls together in times of need. Crystal has lived in Mayfield all her life, the book shop is her dream come true, her happy place. Jade has travelled and hasn’t visited Mayfield in a long time. Why is she back? Will she be welcomed with open arms? Or will the secrets she is keeping and past events stop Jade from rekindling her relationship with her sister, and her dreams of returning to the place they call home.
I read this book a while ago and loved it. I seem to have been remiss in adding a review.
Mayfield has a cosy setting, right up my street, so I immediately felt welcomed into the community. Following their lives and problems felt natural, which is a sign of a good read.
Lorraine Buxton's style of writing appeals to me so much that I have bought most of her books. I always look forward to her next publication.
