Tonight was library night. I mentioned to the children that we could go to the library. Fritz really wanted to go to the Vineland library. He likes the children's department better . . . it is larger, I guess, than our local library. The thing is, there was a book I wanted to check out that was only available locally. What to do? We went to both libraries!

At Vineland, Fritz was eager to find Batman books. He loves Batman! The librarian was very helpful. His help kept us from having to look for ourselves. This was one of the books he found for us.

Once home, Fritz was excited, but it was bedtime. He prepared for nighttime and was happy to hear we would read a story together. He wanted this book.

We liked the story. Batman foiled The Joker's plans (once again). The voice of the story was true to the Batman stories. The images were excellently drawn. The plot was decent for a young person's story.

We didn't discover until the end (despite the large print on the cover, mind you) that hidden on each page is a different bat. Fritz loves this kind of stuff. We went back and found a couple. I am sure next time Fritz will be all over finding them.

The important thing is my little buddy enjoyed the book. For the adults, it's not bad. Have at it!

This Batman book is geared towards young early elementary students around 3-4 years old. The main characters mentioned are Batman and the Riddler and the setting is in Gotham city. It's atlked about in third person point of view. This story is about good versus evil. The Riddler likes to play tricks on people so he was up to no good as usual. Batman realizes this so he begins his hunt to look for him. The Riddler gives him a clue and in no time, Batman quickly finds him and saves the day.

The main idea is that good always prevails and to not let evil dictate our lives. With a little bit of help, we can save people. I would recommend this book because it's full of action and thrill which little kids love. I especially think boys would like a book like this.

Overall, I found the book to be pretty cool. I know if I were a little kid, this would get me curious and entertained. It's a great way to motivate students within themselves to do good.

Never give up because good outweighs the bad.

This Batman book was written a little different than the other books I've read. However it was still very good. It leaves it open as a 'mystery' for the reader to try and figure out as they are reading. And then at the very end there is 22 hidden pictures that the child can go back through the book to find for themselves. This is a good Batman and Joker book.

This is another of the sturdy board books that is aimed at very small children. As before, they are brightly colorful and made with thick pages to stand up to the roughness of a beginning reader.
Riddler makes an appearance in order for Batman to save the day. Again, this series continues to have great artwork and a simple story to spark a child's interest.

A cute little book more tied to the old animated series than the recent movies. It actually manages to find time to develop the plot and doesn't feel like it's ramming its way through it because of word count. All-in-all, not a bad little book.

I like to find all the bats on the pages.
