Not what I expected. I thought I was going to get ' churched' from the way it started. I was pleasantly surprised when that didn't happen. Christian fiction just isn't my thing. I enjoyed the story. A lot actually. But the ending! Oh dear lord, that horrible ending! I feel so cheated! There was absolutely no closure for anyone. It was worse than awful. It felt like waiting all year for a fireworks display to only see two guys running around with sparklers in a field. I loved Becky and Trey together. I loved when Trey changed his mind. And then it was over. It literally just stopped. It's like they just disappeared. Where did they go? What happened? Did Elsa's eggs work? Did they have a kid? Did they get together as a couple? WHAT HAPPENED? The fact that this is a series book led me to believe I would find out in the next one. Well color me disappointed when the brief description of book 3 doesn't mention Becky, Trey or Sarah AT ALL. Total letdown. Would gladly give it one star due to it being such a let down but it was well written and a decent plot. So props for that but this book was totally ruined by that ending, in my opinion.

I read this story over two days...I coudldn't put it down. Quite a change from the other stories I've read from Edie Ramer, and I enjoyed this one just as much as her others.

When I got to the end, I wanted more about the town and the characters living there. Lots more. Please, Ms. Ramer, write a sequel!

I didn’t really know what to expect with this book and was pleasantly surprised by it. Edie Ramer writes stories that seem to go against mainstream plot lines which make her books fun to read. In this story we follow Becky who seems to have one thing after another knock her down. She is married to the town’s golden boy of a pastor and is the perfect wife. Unfortunately it isn’t a life that she planned for herself. She has been living up to everyone’s expectations except her own. Something big changes everything in her life. Instead of hiding and allowing life to swallow her up, she took advantage of her new found freedom and did the unexpected. I don’t want to give away too many spoilers but will say I enjoyed watching Becky’s journey to finding her true self.

Edie’s writing is so easy to read and I love her characters. They have flaws and deal with real life situations (like family drama) which makes you want to root for them. I loved watching the two sisters support each other when life handed them such bad circumstances. I enjoyed the puppies being a part of the story!

While I enjoyed the end, I wish the story was longer so we could have followed Becky a little further in her journey. I also felt like there is more to Elsa, Carl, and the sparkles that Becky saw than what we read about in this story. I just felt like Elsa and Carl were holding something back. I hope this means there is more to come from the people in Miracle.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. While it did make me cry in some scenes, it is a light hearted read and I found myself laughing at the things Becky thought (and said sometimes). I highly recommend this book!

First this book had so many editing errors my eight year old could have corrected most. Just because a book is free or cheap doesn't mean you shouldn't have to do your job.

The story was very fast paced so much so there were holes, some big ones. Also a mystery on who someone is but it flopped in the end. The sparkles were cool at first, I thought maybe she's a witch and just coming into power, or has a fairy godmother, but I've read the book and I still have absolutely no clue where they came from.

The characters were good, the writing was ok, the story was ok. I think the series is probably over priced from what I've read.

Having said all of this I still want to know what's going on enough to read another book. Because of the packaging on the e-books I think I'll jump to book 4 to save some money and not get to invested. I'm trying to think positive and hopefully I'll be surprised and realize this book was still early in the authors career and they get better from here. She has so much potential in this series.

When Becky catches her minister husband in a *very* compromising position, she immediately leaves home, moves into her sister's place and embarks on a new life. But there's one really odd thing that keeps happening to her: she's seeing sparkles. Not only that, she's convinced that a "miracle" is coming, but she just doesn't know what form it'll take.

Edie Ramer has created a wonderful story of community and courage, and I loved getting to see Becky come into her own. I think readers will be both charmed and uplifted by this lovely tale!

Very strange characters

I'm sorry, but I found the characters totally weird and, other than when engaged in sex, cardboard, emotionless, and self absorbed. virtually no plot with too many loose ends and unresolved storylines left dangling. it gets one star...I give it a grade of d.

Very little stardust and even less miracle. I usually feel compelled to finish any book I start. This one? Couldn't do it.

I got this as a freebie (thanks, Bookbub) and figured it would be a quick read when I couldn’t sleep. I thought it was going to be a bit whimsical. I thought it was going to be a sweet story about a woman who finds herself after discovering her cheating husband. I would say some of that was true, but it didn’t really measure up for me.

The writing was okay, but the characters fell flat for me. I’m not sure I really bought in on any of them. It needed more backstory. A lot more backstory. I know I didn’t read the first book, and maybe the cat saw all of this coming, but I find that highly unlikely. In fact, I found many things about this book highly unlikely, but let’s start with the lack of backstory.

I had several questions as to why Jim was a cheater and how long it had been going on. Was it just sex and happened with lots of women, or was it a long term affair that had been going on with Diana for quite some time? While neither would’ve made it okay, I had lots of questions that went completely unanswered. Okay, I guess I can forgive that with the theory that the book was really about the aftermath and not the affair, but I was really curious. Then we move on to Becky’s relationship with her dad. Why was he such a jerk? Okay, her sister married someone he didn’t like. Why did it matter? What made him so important to the community? Why was he a horrible father and husband? Also, why did he and Elsa hate each other so much? Part of that secret was revealed, but what was the other part? I also thought Sarah and Marsh needed more backstory. I was supposed to care a lot more when she lost him than I did.

Now let’s move on to what I found too unlikely. Becky goes from being this completely reserved preacher’s wife who thinks it is a huge deal to surprise her husband in lingerie to a woman who is not yet divorced and is jumping into physical relationships with two men. I get that the betrayal may spur on some major changes, but I don’t see her overcoming her own insecurities that quickly (especially when she is wondering why her husband is getting it elsewhere). I also found Trey’s change in heart a bit hard to believe. They have barely been together and all of the sudden he is going to change his whole life for her? I really doubt it.

Overall, I thought the idea behind this was good, but the story needed to be expanded, and it was quite unlikely. I am glad it was free on Amazon when I got it, because I would’ve been disappointed if I had paid for it. I would pass on this one and don’t plan to read the rest of the series.

I became involved in this book and it's characters in spite of the fact that there were several elements of the book I didn't like. I didn't like the fairytale tone of the supernatural events, and I didn't like all the irrelevant scenes involving the pets. I especially didn't like the unrealistic portrayal of the pastor's life. Actually the main story had little to do with any of the little background "complications." A barren woman found a way to have a baby. The fact that her husband cheated, her father was abusive, she had a mysterious cousin, her brother-in-law died, the family raised dogs -- none of those things actually had anything to do with the story. Also, it was not well-edited for grammar and sentence structure.

Becky is the good girl who lives her life to please others and maintain her own illusion of perfection. She is 36 when the truth “it’s a lie” reveals itself. Her life falls apart so to speak but the pieces will now fit a human, not a robot. Entirely different life story, but my nuclear explosion happened at age 52. When set free from the hold of lies, the truth does settle like stardust all around, and a miracle is here.

Becky is married to a minister until she finds him naked in the church with another woman. She files for divorce. But a miracle is predicted and she keeps seeing sparkles light starlight. She realizes she let her father decide who she should marry and her husband was her fathers clone. So now she starts to live.
It is a fanciful little book and enjoyable to read.

DNF - main character’s brother in law (one of the best characters) died in a senseless car accident. I don’t need that kind of crap in the books I read, real life is crap enough thanks. Was quite enjoying it before that.

Fantastic

This has to be one of the best books I've read in a long time. Loved the characters. I cried and laughed with them. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Stardust Miracle by Edie Ramer
Miracle Interrupted Series Book Two
Becky Deidrich was everything she was supposed to be. Or at least everything she was told to be. The perfect daughter, the perfect wife, just perfect. Two incidents change her whole life. First, the Sunday that a mysterious message says a miracle is coming and she sees sparkles. Second, when she comes home early from a meeting and decides to surprise her husband. What a surprise they both had!

Becky is ready to start her life over and start living for herself rather than anyone else. And she is determined to find her miracle. Sometimes you have to go through the dark places before the light breaks through.

This book had me laughing, crying and wanting a puppy to cuddle. Looking forward to reading more in this series. Becky’s sister, Sarah, has her own story in a the novella, The Halloween Prince in the boxed set Entranced.

A pretty good freebie. I mostly liked the characters and the plot was good. There were some things that I really didn't mesh with, but overall I enjoyed reading this. The main jist of the book was good and flowed well. The sparkles were a good touch. There was a good ending but wasn't quite the HEA kinda ending. The side characters were really good and Trey was great, but there were some things I didn't quite like with Becky. There were plenty of emotions and some tough scenes. This kept me interested and is good for an anytime kinda read. Good for a freebie but not exceptional.

This book was cute. Becky finds her pastor husband, Jim, getting a blow job from someone else. So she leaves him. She files for divorce and finds love again.

I feel like in some ways this book needs more. It needs more back story about Becky and her love interest. They went to high school, what's the history there?

In some ways it needs less. There was another potential suitor, but he was never really a threat and it didn't add much to the story.

Also, there are so many spelling errors that it is distracting from the story. I like it, I think there would be potential in a second book.

A young woman finds her husband cheating on her and so she leaves and files for a divorce. He has been her life since highschool and she has no job skills. She ends up at her sister's home and tragically, her husband is killed-leaving the two sisters to try to carry on. The book was compelling and it made the reader want to keep reading to find out what happens. The book is adult reading due to sexual content.

Love how she doesn't look back and doesn't allow her cheating husband or corrupt Falther to get to her and moves forward.

Felt that God was showing her the direction she needed to go and to the man that truely deserved her.

Cried when her brother-in-law passed and how devastating it would be for her sister and sister's son.

Enjoyed the story and the trials and the funny corky parts.

This was a relatively fast read. I couldn't believe that Carl Hoffman would try to justify Jim Diedrich cheating on his wife, Becky (daughter to Carl). I got the impression that Derek Muench might be slightly needy, as nice as he seems. Becky could sometimes appear sheltered and naive, though I liked the romance that she developed with Trey.

This book has that tinge of everyday magic that makes books like Chocolat sing, but Stardust Miracle didn't quite grab me quite as much. I liked the story, though, and will likely try another book by the author...if I notice it free.

It was a nice read on a stormy day, but I would have liked a little more. I do see there are more miracle books so maybe this story continues in another book as there are questions not answered.

I liked the characters --well, the ones I was supposed to like. I questioned the "supernatural" bits and pieces and I was disappointed somewhat in the ending. When an author engages me in the plot, I like some resolution. It was not boring, but did not live up to any expectations.

Liked the story and the characters. but it sorta ended abruptly and the storyline was everywhere. Not sure how to describe it. Episodes of almost graphic sex which wasn't really necessary. Basically a story of the best way to get even is to be happy.

This book is a quick read. However, I was left with some unanswered questions with some of the characters, which could have easily been explained had the author chose to do so. Otherwise, a nice romance.
