Rate this book
Seeking Simplicity...Finding the Cross by Cindi Wood is a 7-session Bible study for women. Connecting with the heart of God is possible even while living a frazzled life! When you're holding onto sanity by a thread, God wants you to turn His way and hear Him speak. He wants to give us the same power He shows us in His Word. With so much on our to-do lists, finding time to connect with God is difficult. Have you ever wanted to explore deep things about God but felt you were not knowledgeable enough biblically? This women's Bible study will help you explore God and the cross―for the first time or for a fresh look at what the cross means for life today. Downloadable videos also available! Jump-start each small group session with a 4-minute video from Cindi.
Cindi Wood teaches the “strung-out and frazzled” how to creatively manage the stresses of life. Author, speaker, and entrepreneur, Cindi is also a wife, mother of two, and prime candidate for stress overload! That is why she has turned her focus to the needs of so many Christian women who seek support in handling the tremendous stresses of life in this new millennium. Cindi lives in North Carolina with her husband, Larry.

Initially, I was concerned this study would be "fluff." I am used to Beth Moore studies which involve a significant time commitment for the video and in-depth readings.

This six-week study's readings took approximately ten minutes a day, so I didn't have to rush through it before my girls woke up. It was also more user-friendly for my sleep-deprived friend (newborn). No video is required. Even though the daily readings were short, I had something to consider each day.

This study would be great during Lent because of the topics.

I enjoyed the references to the old hymns.

Just finished this bible study and now want to do another by this author.
I love her writing style and how much space is provided to journal my thoughts.

A fine book; just not worth keeping with limited book storage; a recycling of ideas that find themselves in many mom bible studies. Nothing wrong with the doctrine that I could find, and that, in and of itself, is a rarity.

Excellant book. Really lets you know the importance of Jesus' sacrifice of blood for us on the cross. And, so much more.

Nice Bible Study for those women that may be just starting Bible Study or for very busy women. This is an easy study, but that means time for you to digest the information and think.
