Famous ЖЗЛ series. Author went to the trouble to combine whole Tarkovsky problematic life into one book, which is actually what this serie is about. He did that rather convincingly, at least he didn't miss anything remotedly important. Main concept of material presentation was: Tarkovsky in his art was always looking for Home, which he didn't have in his real life. He was in a very complicated relationships with this Home Searching (like as he founds it, he immideately burns it down) and being forced to live abroad, teared apart from his homeland and children was a peak of this tragic relationships. Perhaps this concept is viable, mostly it's true, not going to critisize, except for the author's style, which seemed to me 30-40 years outdated.
