I have been looking forward to reading this, counting down the days until it was released even, but now that I’ve gotten to read it. . .I have to say that I did not enjoy it as much as I had hoped I would. Which I really hate to say, considering I do like this author’s work most of the time and was excited for this new book. The book is not all bad, but it definitely has some issues going on. If you loved it, that's great and I'm glad. I like it as well—but there’s also a lot I didn’t like about it, and I'm going to talk about both. So, skip this review if you don't want to read about the faults I found with this book.

Brief intro (no major spoilers)

We have our mmc, Tuck(I never saw an age, but I think it's safe to est. mid to late 20's), who first “met” the fmc, Vienna(23), while he was modeling for an art class that she was taking. They make eye contact, she gets caught staring at his nether regions, and, while she ends up dropping the class to avoid him, he commandeers a sketch that she drew of him and threw away, which leads him, inadvertently, to start doing sex work. Fast forward to two and a half years later, Tuck is now the top male performer in his line of work; Vienna is getting ready to graduate; and circumstances—Tuck having Vienna tracked down so that she can create a mold of him for a sex toy line—brings them back together. It’s a lengthy process, so they have to spend a lot of time together and, when feelings get involved from both of them, they have to figure out whether or not whatever they have between them is strong enough to withstand Tuck’s job.

That's basically the whole premise.

(This is going to be a veryyyyy lengthy, in depth review of my thoughts on this book from here on out. I have a lot I want to touch on. So, if you haven't already read the book and don't want to know about what happens, you should stop here.)

First, I’ll list the positives:
⚫ I liked Tuck. He just loves doing his job, is in love with Vienna, and desperately wants someone (namely, Vienna) to love him and understand that work is work and he can separate it from his personal life. I liked his family dynamic, too, and how they included Vienna right off the bat—it was sweet that he wanted her to get close to them so that she could experience the kind of support she should’ve had from her own parents. I can’t really think of a bad thing to say about him, aside from thinking he was kinda OTT with him basically being obsessed with Vienna without so much as talking to her, but it was also sorta cute how into her he was at times. So, overall he was a likable mmc. He was respectable to those he worked with and to Vienna while he was pursuing her; he was upfront with Vienna from the start and never tried making her jealous or anything, instead, making it very clear that she was the only one he was interested in being with; he just all around seemed like a well made mmc. So, props to the author for creating one of the very few mmc’s that I found no real faults with. (Well, the oversharing thing with his family kinda made me cringe but maybe people with close families actually do that. I wouldn’t know 😅)
⚫ Unique premise. At least, it was to me. I’ve read a few books with mc’s that did cam stuff, but that’s about it. There’s probably other books similar to this one, I just haven’t read them. Because of that, it was interesting and different than what I've read before. I liked reading about Tuck's experience and just getting insight into the author's portrayal of what it could be like trying to live that lifestyle. I also liked how the author clearly was trying to showcase healthy work environments within the sex work culture being important. I know next to nothing about sex work in general, or how working in that industry really is, but I think C&C seemed like a pretty good representation of how that industry should be run.

Now, on to some of the issues I had with the book.

There are 3 main things that brought down this book for me:
1. The editing, or rather, the lack of editing.
2. Some things just not making sense.
3. The fmc (sometimes).

As far as the editing goes, I’m not going to sugar coat it—this book needs work. A lot of it. I know mistakes are inevitable sometimes, and I wouldn't really mention it if it wasn't as noticeable as it was, but these are just SOME of the things that I noticed and remembered to take note of for this review:
⚫ Sentences with missing words, leading to the sentence not making any sense. Or, sentences where you can tell that a word isn't what it's supposed to be. Two examples from this book: complement being wrongly used where it should be compliment; air being written when it’s supposed to be hair. There were also times where I couldn't even figure out what the wrong/missing word was supposed to be.
⚫ Missing commas, as well as unnecessary ones. So many run on sentences, or dialogue not being properly ended, due to lack of punctuations. Then, on the opposite end of that, so many sentences that were broken up by commas when they shouldn’t have been because it just made the sentence not read right. I do think that knowing when to use commas can be tricky and it's almost a given that most books are going to have a few mistakes throughout them—I make mistakes with it all too, probably even in this review, but there’s just so many rules about it and I can never remember them all lol—but the sheer amount of issues with punctuation in this book is far beyond just a few mistakes.

Things that didn’t really make sense to me:
⚫ Contradicting statements:
Ex. 1) Tuck claims that, since seeing Vienna in that class, he has not fell for, dated, slept with, or even kissed anyone(outside of work, as far as kissing/sex). Yet he claims, right after saying that, that his ex—a girl named Cate—dumped him because of him having sex with people for a living and her not being able to handle it. So, stay with me here: he didn’t start doing sex work until after he saw Vienna. . .which means that the relationship he had with Cate had to have been going on after he saw Vienna, because how else would he be dumped for doing sex work before seeing Vienna when he didn't start doing sex work until after seeing her. . .which means he was in a relationship with Cate, and dumped by her, after he saw Vienna. . .you get my point, I think. Him not being with anyone since seeing Vienna is not possible if Cate exists. Also, at one point Tuck claims he loved and trusted Cate, but near the end we have Tuck’s mom claiming that Vienna is the first person Tuck has loved/dated. Make it make sense.
Ex. 2) Tuck claims a drive to and from his parents is six hours, but then there’s another time where he says it only takes about 2 hours one way, which would mean it should only be four-ish hours?
⚪There are more examples of sloppy editing that I could add, but they are more or less depicting the same things as what the other examples show—the author writing something and then changing it later on to something different and it doesn’t add up.
⚫ Madeline’s whole character. Just, why? I feel like this character should’ve never existed. I know that a big part of the end of the book centered around Madeline breaking the bust, but I feel like something else could have been written in to break it. That really is the only purpose that Madeline seemed to serve—breaking Vienna's sculpture, resulting in Vienna having to use the toys as her final project. I just don't see a need for Madeline to exist just to be the cliché villain of the book, when all she did was bring high school bully vibes—I mean, c’mon, they’re about to graduate college and Madeline is over here calling Vienna "Sausage”, as well as actively trying to ruin Vienna's chances at anything. For what reason? She doesn't win anything if Vienna fails; yet she's breaking artwork, trying to embarrass Vienna in front of Tuck, being a bitch for a reason that is never disclosed. . .I just think the book would be better off without such childish drama.
⚫ The instalove. Tuck is obsessed from first sight; Vienna goes from not wanting to be around him because she assumes the worst about him, to all of a sudden really liking him. I just didn’t think the development was there at the start for their feelings to actually make sense logically. They had plenty of sexual chemistry, but I would've liked more on-page development with the relationship instead of them being in love and I'm feeling like I missed out on why that is.
⚫ Some conversations wouldn’t make sense, or rather, they wouldn’t flow smoothly. Like, the mc’s would be talking about one thing and then it would just all of a sudden change to a whole different topic without the previous conversation really ending. (Ex: Tuck asks Vienna if she is excited to be done with school soon, but instead of her answering, there are a couple brief paragraphs about them walking and then she starts talking about something completely different. Something that has no correlation to the question he just asked. And it’s never acknowledged by either of them that he had asked that question, so it feels more like the author forgot to have her answer the question rather than Vienna not answering it on purpose. But, who knows.)
⚫ How did Vienna not recognize Tuck after officially meeting him? To some extent, at least? I know he was wearing a mask during the class she took where she had to draw him nude, but she also described being able to see his eyes on her, see him grin at her, and could even make out the crows feet by his eyes. With her being able to see that much detail on his face, I don’t understand how the mask somehow concealed his identity; therefore, I don't get how she didn't think he, at least, looked familiar.
⚫ And since she didn’t recognize Tuck, why did she not question how they even found her to help them with the toy line? Augustus mentions her talent and skill and says that Tucker picked her specifically, but there's never any mention of how she was tracked down and found. And she doesn't wonder about it or ask. Sure, I, as a reader, clearly know it was because Tuck is obsessed with her and had her tracked down, but Vienna doesn't know that. Doesn't question how they found her and why they think she has talent and skill—even though it's not like they could have seen any work by her since she's still in school and she hasn't created anything that the public would be able to see. It just doesn't make any sense how she wouldn't question how in the world they not only discovered her in the first place, but thought she was qualified over someone with actual experience. The only thing I can come up with is maybe the author couldn't come up with a way to explain it without revealing who Tuck was, so maybe she just didn't have Vienna wonder about it. Or, maybe the author just didn't think to come up with something in the first place or simply forgot to. Idk.

My problems with Vienna's character:
⚫ She grated on my last nerve for the majority of the book. At first, I brushed it off. I figured she'd have some amazing arc transformation throughout the book to make up for it, but that's not really what happened. Near the end is where she stopped annoying me, and there were a sprinkle of scenes throughout the book where she was also not annoying me, but she was so whiny and entitled and judgmental at times that it almost made me dnf.
⚫ Her suddenly having glasses at around 20%, and the fact that, once they are mentioned that first time, it seemed like I couldn't go more than five pages, if that, without them being brought up again. It got rather repetitive reading about her constantly pushing them up, plus, Tuck seemed to develop some sort of kink/fetish with them because he never shut up about them either. This is a dumb one, but hey, these are simply my thoughts lol.
⚫ When she would be ranting about something to someone and they’d talk her down, but then she’d start back up and the same exact conversation would happen all over again. (Though, I will say that it is kind of realistic, but, at the same time, I don't want to have to read about the same argument over and over, especially when it drags on for multiple pages. It gets old.) The book even starts out like this—over half of the first chapter is just Vienna and her friend going in circles as they talked about Vienna's roommate, which is probably why I almost instantly had problems with her. Her friend was spitting facts and she would be like "you're right, you're right" but keep on complaining about it. Like, girl. . .please move on.
⚫ How I could never tell where her head was at. She goes from not wanting to be in the same room as Tuck and shooting down his advances; then all of a sudden she wants to go out with him and is excited to; to being jealous due to his job; to hooking up with him, then running away when he admits to being crazy about her and wanting a relationship; to not being jealous anymore and telling him she wants to watch him with others; to thinking about how he is basically her dream guy, only to run away, again, when Tuck tries to bring up wanting to date. . .I couldn't keep up with her. I get that she had reservations—it’s normal—but it’s the way she reacts that really annoyed me. Especially when she went from mauling him in the elevator after dinner with his family, where she had been thinking about having feelings for him and how he’s the kind of man she has always wanted, to brushing him off after he brings up wanting her to be his girlfriend and leaving him with the impression that she possibly only wanted him for sex. She could have gone about it better, I think, and her not being able to communicate with him like an adult IRKED MY SOUL.

For someone, like myself, who actually pays attention to details, it makes for a poor reading experience when there's so many noticeable issues within a book. Not everything I listed were technical issues, obviously some were random things that I just didn’t like (ie the stuff I said about Madeline, as well as some of the things about Vienna) that I talked about, so I’m not claiming those things when I say “issues”.

Summed up, this could've been a higher rating for me if development and editing had been better.

I’ve rambled enough, so I’ll end my review here. I’ll give the book 3 stars. I enjoyed it about as much as I didn't, even if it's not obvious because of the critique above. Still have fun reading most of this author's work, so I'm sure I'll continue to read future releases. Just hope the next book to come is actually edited well.

hmmm

Sadly it wasn’t for me. I was excited to see a completely different relationship type but I could not get into this. I know everyone cannot be pleased so take what I’m saying with a grain of salt.

It was just unbelievable. I know it’s a fiction story but the whole premise was not real to me. And I’ve been trying to read this book for months, today I just skipped through because I couldn’t get into it as much as I tried.

They didn’t speak one word to each other and he was thinking about her for years? He decided to do porn because of a sketch she threw out? He is wildly rich and successful after 2 years and he loves his job and is into giving real Os to his costars.

The h was hesitant about making his molds at first and through the course of this book realized she liked to watch and in fact liked watching him get it on with all these men and women and it’s totally great. And just as into it as him because this is a great profession and totally normal that it is both just a job and also super fun.

I just did not find it to be anywhere near reality. There are people who are in relationships with porn stores in real life and porn stars who are married to each other. But I was hoping for a realistic portrayal with some struggle. I never enjoy a book where the girl just goes along with anything and everything no bumps. Real issues with fictional characters is what I hoped for.

Anyway 1 star because I didn’t like it or the characters. Even the super great parents

Stuck with Tuck is the first full novel I’ve read by Daisy Jane. It’s also the first book I’ve read where the MMC is a porn star. That alone had me extra excited to read this. I don’t know how I haven’t read anything by Daisy Jane before now, but damn. I loved this freaking book.

One of the things I appreciated the most is how Daisy seeks to normalize sex workers. It’s 100% acknowledged that some porn production companies are toxic and don’t care about their stars’ physical, emotional, and mental health. Crave & Cure, however, is the complete opposite. Crave strives to build and maintain healthy relationships amongst their staff, and not just with the stars. They have monthly mandatory get togethers for all employees to help foster the friendships without sex. All of Crave’s porn stars are friends and would never do anything to jeopardize the company or each other. To them, they are simply coworkers like any other profession. Daisy describes the porn industry so beautifully through Crave. Kudos to her for this.

Tucker is an amazing person inside and out. Being Crave’s top male porn star hasn’t jaded him or inflated his ego. I loved how he respectfully pursued Vienna and the way he didn’t shy away from how she unknowingly changed his life. He shared that tidbit with those who are the most important to him. Tucker is proud of what he does and the art he creates.

Vienna grows significantly throughout this book. She struggles with trying to prove who she is and how art is a meaningful career choice. Where Tucker has this really amazing support system, she does not. Thank heavens for her best friend, Darren, and his boyfriend, Samson. They had no qualms about calling out Vienna’s sense of entitlement or the way she thought she was too good to work for a porn company. She needed the brutal honesty.

I fell in love with Tucker. He’s so freaking sweet and patient. I love how he supports Vienna unconditionally. And his dirty mouth? I needed more! Watching him work in scenes made me just as hot as it did Vienna! The spice was hot AF all around. 🔥🔥🥵

It's about a 1.5....I get the aspects of this and thought I had open mind, but for all Tucks talk on...its just a job... he is turned on off set by other people he works with...so it isn't just a job. He seems too sappy and a airhead at times. The whole "my family loves everything I do"...even his siblings seems rather far fetched. Over and over we hear how caring his job/co is...such bullshit...So while interesting read and whatever floats your boat, I just couldn't as he has sex with others thru whole thing and enjoys every minute. Him getting jealous is ridiculous. It was like an accident that I couldn't look away from. Vienna seems to have no dimension most of the time and spends literally almost all of it pushing her glasses up and her hair back....not even kidding.

I ended up enjoying this one in the end but it had such a slow start and I always struggle when there are 2D characters that are literally just mean for the sake of being mean, with no other motivation. Still, enjoyed how Vienna and Tucker communicated in the end and how open Vienna grew to be.

Omg this is one of the hottest things I've ever read while also being so nurturing and full of love. Daisy never fails to marry kink and love together and present it in such a healthy, a
Sex positive way. Vienna and Tucker feel like real living, breathing people. There's no 3rd act break up if you hate that (I like both lol) there's bi rep in a MAN, I mean come on!!!! There's healthy exploration and the fluff will make you squeal with joy.

Tuck is the top porn star of Crave and Cure, and Debauchery is the top sex toy maker and they want to make a Tucker dildo. He picks Vienna to be the artist. Vienna is in her last year of art school and doesn’t know what medium she wants work in. She goes to Crave and they offer her a job to work and help create the Tucker sex toy. She says yes and they start working together. As they work together the attraction is intense. They start to feel more for each other. Can they be together? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. Love Tuck and Vienna. Great supporting characters. This book has all the feels and the spice is great.

As always with a Daisy Jane book, this was sexy and the characters were written perfectly.

Tucker is a Porn Star. He's the most wanted in his industry, makes great money and genuinely loves working at Crave & Cure. He's so popular that a sex toy company wants to make a toy replica of his 🐓. Vienna is hired for the job.

Obviously, things are awkward for them when they begin the process of making the toy but over the daily hours they spend together they begin really liking each other. Tucker is an amazing person! He's super sweet and kind to everyone! He has the greatest family and they are his biggest supporters. I loved him.

The entire time I'm reading this I'm putting myself in Vienna's shoes. She meets Tucker knowing what his job is and how much he loves it so is it fair to expect him to quit when they get together? Even though I couldn't have handled my guy having sex with both men and women SEVERAL times a day I also knew how unfair it would be to make him quit.

I appreciated the authors message she put in the beginning that makes it clear that Tucker IS having sex with other people the entire time because of his job. There's no OW drama or cheating. Vienna is completely aware. There is no secrets but if you can't handle the H having sex with other people for any reason then this book may not be for you.

What the heck did I just read?! The warning at the beginning did not do enough to explain what really happens. Not only does he have intercourse with other people for his job, but even after they are together HE still does it and she is ok with it? Yea, wtf…

A golden retriever porn star woos the grumpy artist hired to cast a dildo mold of his dick. This is Romancelandia fairy tale porn world, mind you. No one is exploited or trafficked, everyone gets full health insurance benefits, everyone gets along with no catty infighting, story-based emotional bisexual porn is the most popular porn in the biz, the hero can afford a penthouse in Pacific Heights after just two years of work, and the dildo company can afford to pay an art student six figures for a year's worth of dick casting.

But never mind all that because Tucker is the best. (He even made me overcome my association of the name Tucker with a whiney little weenie in a bow tie.) He's a gorgeous big-dicked bisexual ball of love and joy, and Vienna would be a fool not to snatch him up. (She's no fool, though it takes a while to get there.) Do note that he's a porn actor and doesn't stop working--in case that's a deal breaker. But luckily for Vienna, she discovers she's got a fairly intense voyeurism kink. It's almost like they were fated to be together.

The story is a bit overlong, and I'm not entirely happy with the Madeline-the-roommate character whose primary function is to be cunty towards Vienna, for no discernable reason. Why didn't Vienna move out? Hasn't she made any friends at art school she could bunk up with?

I did love Tucker's family and the 'twist' that the sex worker's family is loving and supportive while the artist's family are shitheels.

Overall a joyfully fun porny romp.

This book was refreshingly good. Tuck isn't my type of fictional man, but the more I read, the more I fall in love with him. He is like a puppy you want to keep, and he definitely is so focused on his crush, Vienna. It's so wonderful how they are vulnerable, and Tuck is just doing his best to get her as an endgame or his forever!

I do love his family, who is so open to him being a porn star. Vienna is the woman he met while modeling for an art class. Vienna had student loans and was offered the opportunity for a job to mold Tucker's peen. You read that right. Vienna has her prejudices about adult film stars, and it is quite scary to enter a relationship with one cause of trust issues and all that, but despite all that, Tucker just wants to keep her comfortable, and he is just biding his time before he dives in and swoops the girl of his dreams.

I love the sexual positivity and yes definitely an unconventional love story, but I adored every moment of it. The character development is so smooth. Plus, this is one of these books where I cared about the other side characters too. Its all about acceptance and not stereotyping people, and I can't wait to read the next book! Honestly, I would get heartbroken if Tucker got rejected, but guaranteed HEA, guys! AGAIN ADORED IT SO MUCH!

Daisy created an entire adult film company that I personally believe his how the actual adult film industry should work. Everything is based on realness, comfortability and safety of the stars. And as always she served us some supreme spicy content.

Vienna gets stuck with Tuck after losing out on an art school grant to Madeline, her snarky roommate and needing to make some money to pay off her school loans since her parents suck and don’t support her art career. When Vienna signs on to work at Crave & Cure in collaboration with Debauchery, modeling a toy based on Tucker Deep. While she’s uncomfortable at first, Tuck made it part of his job to make her comfortable and make her his.

As always, read the warnings. Our MMC is a adult film star and has interactions with other characters (not the FMC) on page so if this is something that makes you uncomfortable this may not be the book for you.

My thoughts:
•The communication was supreme. Throughout the entire book, Vienna made sure that Tuck knew what she was thinking and vise versa.
•Tuck is literally so good. Like does everything Vienna needs and supports her endlessly, good.
•Can’t wait for more Crave & Cure.

Daisy Jane is an Insta-buy, insta-love author for me! She tackles taboo topics like no other author I’ve read thus far!

I’ve been so excited to dig into the world of Crave & Cure, a company in the adult film industry and to meet Tuck! Tucker Deep happens to be the top grossing film star they have and Debauchery, an adult toy company, wants to make a copy of his… likeness… to sell. Tuck’s one condition- the artist he wants commissioned to create it. Enter Vienna (Sausage) Carnegie.. an art student in her last semester of school with toooons of debt and no job lined up to tackle it.

For what felt like a slower burn book, there sure was a lot of spicy moments leading up to the spicy moments between our main characters.. That’s because Daisy does NOT scimp on the spice and includes scenes between Tuck and his costars. Right away you’re made aware of the physical connection that Tuck can create, but he’s missing that emotional connection, because what he does is simply work to him, and that’s it.

I thought it was so adorable how quickly he tries to make Vienna comfortable around C&C. And just how their friendship blossoms into much more throughout the book. Their little meetings to create molds always made me smile at how sweet they were and just how their conversation flowed. My heart did a little pitter patter when he told her he likes her, and that he knows she likes him too.

Daisy is really great at bringing everything to a climax (no pun intended) without absolutely ripping my heart out with tear jerking angst, but still making me go “Oh, hell…” and that’s such a nice change of pace!

This was a fun story involving a 🌽⭐️ and an art student hired to sculpt his 🍆 into a ✨toy✨. This was a really sex positive story and honestly a slower burn than I’m used to from Daisy but when the spice hit it was 🔥

I loved seeing Tuck make sure Vienna was comfortable every step of the way and made sure she really understand how his particular company within the industry operated and showed her that he could be dedicated to her while also doing his job.

Note that the MMC is actively an adult film star and DOES have *relations* with men and women who are not the FMC. However, no emotions are involved, it is all work. Any emotions & feelings are for the FMC alone.

Tropes & Highlights:
- Pairing: MF
- Adult film star
- He falls first
- Voyeurism
- P🥚ing
- Bisexual MMC
- Toy play
- Breeding k!ñk
- Unexpected daddy k!ñk

Gahh! I'm in love with Tucker Elliot. Like, obsessed AND in love.

Tuck is the perfect man. He's an obsessive, sexy hot, experienced man with an addictive personality. Vienna doesn't stand a chance once he sets his eyes on her!
I'm not going to lie, I was unsure how I'd feel about the senerio of this book. A 🌽⭐️ who has $e% for a living with other people threw me for a loop. But holy cow! I'm so glad I gave it a chance, Tuck is everything!! Through sweet words and amazingly descriptive scenes, I feel for this book HARD!

I love the start to this new series. The best part of Daisy Jane's books are the details she focuses on with her characters. She has a way of bringing them to life. And my fav?! There's never a 2nd act break up!!

This was a really fun ride. There is a refreshing lack of angst between the MCs; no third act break ups or forced conflicts. Tuck wears his heart on his sleeve and is probably the first cinnamon roll porn star I've read about. I can always count on Daisy Jane to "think outside the box" when it comes to the intimate scenes and she did not disappoint in this book.

This book was good. First time reading this type of book where the MMC is an adult film star and the FMC liked to watch the MMC. I really loved the relationship and the struggles that the FMC deals with while in college and trying to find what she wants to do. I can’t wait to read the other books.

Once again Daisy has gave us an amazing read. I really enjoyed it. I’ll be honest this was a first for me where the MMC (Tucker) was a pörn⭐️(that I can remember lol). I was unsure how it would all play out. But I loved Tucker. I loved how he would always make Vienna feel like she was the only one he wanted (which was true). And how sincere he was that work was work nothing more but still wanted to keep her close to him. Their tension, banter, & hot incredible spice was so good. Definitely recommend just be sure to check triggers. :)

This was like….if a former hallmark writer tried to write a spicy rom com about a porn star. And I don’t care how good a relationship someone may have with their family there is NO WAY parents and siblings want to hear all the deets about your sex life. I still finished it tho 🫣

I wanted to like this more than I did. The premise is interesting. Porn star Tucker Deep finds the girl that can steal his heart. She, Vienna, is an art student who is more conservative, can she give way to her deeper desires? Yes, please.

But, I felt like a lot of the book was defending porn and legitimizing it. I thought, do you know what can of books I read? This is tame, come on now. I felt preached at on occasion, it tried to force these magnanimous epiphanies that just weren't necessary and glossed over other plot points that could have beefed up the story, like the hateful roommate. She makes short appearances but is an aside.

There were parts that were very spicy and hot but a lot of the book was just too much internal rambling. I can't count all the times Tucker mentioned how his porn production Co is different than others. Ok, good for you, don't need to remind me every 5 minutes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 4/5 spice

Hands down Daisy Jane is a one click author for me! But Stuck with Tuck has to be in my Top 2 favourite books she has ever published!

Like many people when I see a book with a main character involved in a career that leads them to be sexually active with other individuals and not the love interest, I get a bit worried. Are they going to be able to separate work from personal? Are they going to be able to have an intimate relationship without all the “extras” or “over the top” moments you see in porn? Well I am extremely pleased to say Daisy nailed it, she was able to showcase Tucker and his pride for his job as a porn star but still be able to keep it separate from his relationship with Vienna. Through the whole novel Tucker shows how healthy communication and respect can allow someone in the sex work field to have a successful and healthy relationship not in the same field of work. The support Tucker has from not only his boss and coworker but his family as well made me so happy (even brought tears to my eyes). Sex workers are normal people with feelings, families, goals and personal desires, just because they choose to work in said field of work does not make them any less deserving of love. Thank you Daisy for showcasing this!

Now onto the plot (& spice)- Vienna the FMC is a struggling art student who is commissioned by Crave to turn Tucker’s “member” into a toy sold to the public. Little does Vienna know Tucker personally picked her because he has secretly been pinning for her for years now, and she has no idea he even exists. Throughout this novel you see the connection build between Tuck & Vienna so naturally that you can’t help but squeal from happiness when they finally get together! On top of this beautiful love story book is jam packed with all the good spice and kinks!

If you like:
- golden retriever energy MMC
- sweet and shy FMC
- voyeurism
- surprise daddy kink
- lots of toy play
- healthy communication
- found family
- 🍑 play

Then STUCK WITH TUCK by Daisy Jane is for you!

Loved it! I really do love a MMC porn star trope which is wild to me cause there is no way IRL that that would work for me. Anyway, Vienna, the FMC, starts out being judgy and snobby, but she does open her mind with the help of her best friend and by seeing the legitimate work of a porn set. Tucker, the MMC, is sweet and endearing. He's always 100% respectful towards his co-workers and most importantly towards Vienna. He is up front about his feelings and desires for her. He never leaves her to wonder where his head or heart are at. He's supportive of her dreams and only wants to make her happy. I loved reading their relationship grow from lusting to liking to secure & serious. And that epilogue! I wish all authors would write epilogues like that.

If you can't read romances where the MMC sleeps with other people - because it's his job - then don't read this. The author makes it extremely clear that's what you're going to get, so don't read this and then be upset and give it a low rating. You did it to yourself.

If you're not sure how you'll feel about that circumstance, this book might just change your mind. The porn scenes are described from both the FMC's and MMC's perspectives. They absolutely do not read the same as the sex between the FMC & MMC. They are devoid of emotion and focus on the mechanics of the scenes. The sex between the FMC & MMC is emotional, sexy, and hot.

It’s no surprise that I love Daisy Jane but this book has so many beautiful things in it & I hope everyone gives it a chance. It’s probably the best story I’ve read with sex workers in it. If Crave & Cure existed, I would work there. It’s rare that the porn industry is described in such a beautiful way.

Tucker (the MMC) is top tier boyfriend material. He is literally so sweet & amazing. He DOES have interactions with other characters (his coworkers) so know this going in. Honestly I didn’t know if I would love it because I do indeed feel that second hand jealousy but it is written in such a beautiful way that I could’ve been his actual gf and been ok with it.

Vienna is a relatable character. She goes through situations that I think a lot of people will relate and sympathize with.

I really don’t want to give too much away but just read it!

Tucker Elliot just went and made my standard 10000xn times higher and I’m not even mad about it!

Well maybe expect for two things: he’s not real and I don’t have him!!

I’m not even kidding, he was THE golden retriever. He was so respectful and loyal, so nice and kind and adorably charming, he was so lovable. The way he tried his best to make things work not only for our FMC but also for literally everyone around him, the way he treated people with care and kindness and didn’t expect anything in return. He was everything I didn’t know I was missing in my life.

GAH I NEED MY OWN TUCK LIKE YESTERDAY!!

Lol anyway, this book was written very nicely, the storyline flowed really well with, I’d say, not much going on, like nothing too angsty or aggressive or dark, but the details and events were engaging enough that kept me intrigued.

The whole book was just them getting to know each other, how they slowly bonded and be comfortable around each other, how he found his way to get her to open more to him, how she let her guard down, how they brought out the best in each other, respectfully and charmingly yet so sincerely. It was immaculate, they were so wholesome and meant to be. There was just this light and easy vibe going on between them that made me feel so warm and gooey inside. Oh god I love them and their relationship development so much you have no idea.

However, I’d probably love it a lot more IF:
1. The FMC pursued the MMC more.

At some (many) points, their relationship felt a bit one sided and he was the only one who did all the work.
2. The evil roommate was more aggressive.

Or at least was portrayed differently, as in further developed. In some way I think her character was necessary to push our FMC out of the box, like to help Vienna grow a backbone and stand up for herself; but idk, it felt off because while she was described as the villain, she definitely didn’t give off that villain vibes, she was somewhat lacking and it was ridiculous lol.
3. We get the closure on her family.

As someone(s) who affected heavily the way she thought and acted throughout the book, I think it’s only fair, for her and them, to know where they stand after, like did they ever come around? Did they write her off? To know something like that would have been nice, like an end of an era.
4. How the hell did her parents know Madeline, aka the evil roommate?

The way they (the parents and the roommate) acted at the end seemed way too friendly for my liking, especially when the FMC even said herself that she never went home, never visited and her parents didn’t bother do the same. So HOW???

Still, overall, this was a really good read. I enjoyed it a lot and am so looking forward to the next books in the series!

I’ll admit, I was hesitant on reading another Daisy Jane book because I was so uncomfortable with the content and the story was ok with the last one I read. For a while there I held off in reading this one, though I did shelve it. Finally after the new year started and I caught up with all the other ones I wanted to read, I decided to give this one a go. I was ready to be open minded and realized that not all books by her will have content I’ll be uncomfortable with. I’m glad I decided to read this one. It not only surprised me by how sweet and romantic Tuck was, but also how he was a believer in fate. Wow, I’ve never read a book that had the man so open and vulnerable before. It was so nice! I wanted him for myself, seriously. I thought I would be uncomfortable with the porn that was warned to me in the beginning of the book and describing him with other people but I actually didn’t mind it. In fact, I got going more when he was with Vienna. This had more of an impact on me than reading about him with other people. You could tell it was more intimate, vulnerable and passionate with her. He was so gentle, considerate and loving to her. It was how he was when filming but there was more emotion attached to it and a connection. Most of these men are in the books I read, but this one had way more compassion. I felt there was a deepness to it, pun intended this time since his star name is Tucker Deep. Aside from that, I loved the story about Vienna coming to terms with her sexual needs and acceptance of going in the adult film industry with sex toys. I understand her hesitancy in the beginning but I’m glad she got comfortable in her role as the book went on. It was growth for her because you see her go from being this unsure woman in an art filled world. There’s also the blatant disapproval of it from her parents that carry her throughout her decision making and a conniving roommate who thinks she’s better than her. It had so much depth, passion and emotion in this book that I’m going to finish this series. If this book was good, I can only imagine how the other two will be. It seems like there’s more kink expressed in the next books, though you do get exploration of it in this one but it didn’t take up the whole book, instead it talks about it near the end and just touches on it, which I appreciated. With those last kinks, I’m not so comfortable with them but it was nice the whole book wasn’t dedicated to it like the last book I read of Daisy’s. I just didn’t like how long the chapters were. These days my attention span can’t handle long chapters so that was a struggle to me, and I guess I’ll have to deal with it for the next two books too because they are just as long. This is the only reason I gave this book a 4. The chapters were unnecessarily long and I wanted to finish this within 2 days at the most but I’ll sacrifice long chapters for a good story.

I so wanted to like this!
Daisy Jane is an author whom I have just started reading and I love how she writes and handles adult topics a lot of people would find somewhat taboo.

Topics that are not just thrown in there for pearl clutching sake, but to explain that yeah, some people have kinks that colour outside the box. But with the right person, with an open minded heart and of course communication.
These can all be maturely explored.

But here with Tuck and Vienna, I couldn't quite get on board.
Tuck I like, but Vienna *le sigh* was just....sorry....annoying.
I do not live in the US and I find the American centric view of not swearing to be rather bizarre.
This is a grown woman!
And don't get me started on how she acts around naked bodies. Bof!
I get it, nudity is hard when having grown up conservatively (not talking politicly, but traditionally in values), but she has a job to do...just get on with it!
I get that angle is needed to develop the character, but it came across really childish.

I also found it frustrating that there are so many women around her and she never actually speaks to them unless it's a "hi" or a few words about something and then that's it.
I get the room mate storyline, I am glad that was dealt with. But it felt very woman hating.

I also find the company/studio Tucker works for to be somewhat unrealistic.
It felt too good to be true and the author kept drumming that fact into our heads with how good it is, how good Augustus is...how good the work is...how good this, how good that, how good everything!
It just made this feel like this was the one and only "amazing" studio in the whole....world?

I get it, this is trying to be the open minded opposite of what actual real life adult studios are said to be to us everyday people.
An unsafe space for actual sex workers and yes, that is true for a lot of parasitic studios that pop up all the time.
But there are people who are trying to turn all that on its head.
Take Erika Lust, Anna Spade or Four Chambers for example.
They are not perfect, but they are trying to create a safe environment for sex workers without the need to pat themselves on the back.

So here for me, that concept fell so flat.

Sorry to go off like this, I am not giving up on the author.
I am looking forward to diving into her backlog.
This book was just sadly not for me.
I am a bit torn about continuing with the whole series, I might in the future.

“I don’t just want Vienna. I want her. I crave her.” - Stuck with Tuck by Daisy Jane

Vienna feels like she’s been failing life since pursuing her post-grad in art. With so much debt, her parents refusing to talk to her, and a prima donna for a roommate, it seems like there’s no hope. Yet she gets an offer from a porn production to make dildos modeled after their top star, Tucker Deep. He’s selected her because she helped make his career possible, and he hopes to provide the pleasure that she deserves.

Grab a towel and your coconut oil, readers, because author Daisy Jane is back to feed us hungry savages with her latest romance. Featuring our black cat FMC and golden retriever MMC, “Stuck with Tuck” is a fluffy tale of connecting with someone who changes your life in unexpected yet happy ways.

Our titular hunk with the famous junk is the most lovable himbo of the year, darlings. Tucker may be a rising star in the porn industry, yet he has the sweetness of the boy next door that will have readers wanting to hug him right before riding him like a bull. He’s been searching for the art student who kick-started his career with a simple sketch years ago and just gushes over Vienna in a way that reminds us of those intense yet amazing feelings of a first crush.

Tucker’s personality and devotion to our leading lady perfectly balance out Vienna’s character, as her self-worth is pretty low at the start of our story. Due to her upbringing, environment, and her own doubts about the decisions she made, she is more willing to bury any romantic feelings alive than let it go horribly wrong. Thankfully, Tucker and his amazing sidekick (or side-dick?) are here to prove that everyone deserves happiness, even in the most unexpected ways.

The spice is a bit of a slow burn, though graciously indulging us with scenes of Tucker’s work before the real magic happens off-camera. With more hinted at with the Crave & Cure crew, expect even more delightful fun from Ms. Jane very soon.

Final Smut Archive assessment: Let’s put these prototypes to use.

A solid 4.5 stars!
Im a huge fan of Daisy Jane, her books always manage to give a good pallet cleanse after reading some particularly dark books!
I put off reading this book for quite some time due to a couple of scathing reviews, I now realise that was a mistake (I need to stop putting so much trust in certain small minded reviewers).
THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW FANTASTIC TUSKER IS!
Heres my thoughts...

What I liked...

* Tucker...I cannot describe how wonderful this man is...hes kind, loving, generous, understanding, sweet, sensitive, loyal, trustworthy, open and of course super hot! This man is morally pure white, a total angel in human form, he deserves his own book series not just one book!

* Vienna...it took me time to warm up to this girl. She came across as judgy, mopey and a bit dull at first. But the more the reader learns about her upbringing and parents, we start to see that she's a girl that has never experienced genuine affection, love or respect. She gets that in spades from Tuck!

* The story premise...this was new and interesting to me. Ive read a ton of books that are set in or around sex clubs, cam girls, pole dancers etc. but this one is new to me.

* Sex positive...representing the sex work community in a positive, respectful way. I wasn't always comfortable with how much detail the author went into when Tucker was having sex with other people, no it wasn't cheating, yes it was his job. However I think there were more scenes of Tucker with his co-stars than with his girlfriend. And this started to give me a little ick (and the reason I didn't give 5 stars even though I really wanted to, I had to be honest)

* A beautiful HEA

* Tuckers family and his open and honest relationship with them (no it wasn't inappropriate like some reviews suggested. It was family goals in my opinion!)

What I didnt like as much...

* The amount of times we had to read about him having sex with other people. We know he's a porn star, we only needed a couple of scenes to set the stage. But no...way too many scenes.

So...basically id recommend this book, highly recommend!
