Contemporary romance author Connie Cox was a finalist in the 2007 Golden Heart contest and sold that book, Taking Flight, to Avalon Books. When Avalon Books closed, Amazon Montlake picked up Taking Flight and offers the story in hard back, paper back and ebook. Then Connie entered a contest sponsored by Harlequin Medical Romances. This led to The Baby Who Saved Dr. Cynical and four more books with Harlequin. Then life happened. Connie went in a different direction and picked up a new pen name along with a new genre.

But true love never says never. There were still heroes and heroines flitting around in Connie's mind, destined to be together. Now, the muses have pulled Connie back to this pen name to give them all their Happy Endings

RETURN OF THE REBEL SURGEON by author Connie Cox is a Harlequin Mills & Boon Medical series release for August 2012.

Cole Lassiter was the last person Annabelle Allante expected to see at the special games in which her fourteen year old son was taking part.

After all he was the man who had walked away leaving her pregnant fifteen years ago. Dare she trust him again? Wouldn’t it leave her heart open to more hurt?

Meeting Belle after fifteen years, Cole couldn’t forget the betrayal he had felt by her. He’d thought they were soul mates yet she went and married someone else. And now was the mother of a fourteen year old. Yet he couldn’t help noticing that this boy looked familiar. Then he finds out the explosive truth. Can he walk away from his family now?

RETURN OF THE REBEL STRANGER is a story about how family pressures undermine a young couple’s first love. It’s also a tale of a single mother coping with an autistic child and trying to make ends meet. Cole and Belle meet after fifteen years, yet find the attraction between them hasn’t waned. The love scenes were sensual. Author Connie Cox tackled some unorthodox subjects in this story. This was my first book by this author but I found her writing just flowed naturally.

This is a reunion romantic tale filled with tension, heartbreak, secrets, scandals and sizzle amid some medical drama. A definite page turner by Connie Cox.

Return of the Rebel Surgeon is an emotionally packed re-union story.

Cole and Isabella were teenage sweethearts from the opposite side of the tracks; unfortunately circumstances conspired against them thus changing the course of their lives.

When Cole and Isabella meet up fifteen years later quite by accident at the special games in New Orleans, Cole is shocked to realize he has a teenage son who autistic.

I really liked Cole’s interactions with his son, I think the author did a really good job in drawing out her characters and keeping the reader emotionally vested in the story.

This story packs a lot of emotions, it gave me a deeper insight into families with special needs teenagers and their concerns of being able to provide for their children will beyond their lifetimes.

I would definitely recommend reading Return of the Rebel Surgeon.

Really enjoyable & easy read with a happy ending. If u want a feel good book with plenty of emotions this is perfect.

Romance & stubbornness galore & i was feeling the emotions along the way. From the beginning u know it will b a happy ending but I couldn't stop reading to find out how many obstacles needed to be overcome to get there.

It's a reasonably short story & perfect for a quick enjoyable read :-)

Thank you to Connie Cox also for her giveaway on Goodreads where I won and received my free copy.

I've followed Ms. Cox through her published works for some time now--guilty as charged--and find RotRS to be one of her very best yet. Cole and Isabella are beautifully written dynamic characters with real issues and believable character arcs. The creativity of adding in an autistic child really did it for me, too; this is the first work of fiction I've encountered where the author braved the tender subject of autism. Ms. Cox did it and did it well.

Pick this up if you want a quick, easy read that leaves you satisfied.

I didn't really enjoy the hero and heroine in this book, for some reason I couldn't really care about them enough.

I did however really appreciate the character Adrian - which brought Autism to a wider audience and appreciation.
