Brenna Nelson roars into Desire, Oklahoma, for the express purpose of giving the owners of Club Desire a piece of her mind.
She's suffered pain, fear, and even the loss of her job at the hands of one of their trainees, and she places the blame directly on their shoulders.
Trust doesn't come easy for her, but their concern for her, and outrage at what their club member has done to her, eases some of her fears.
Before she knows it, Royce Harley and King Taylor ensconce her on their floor at the club and she's signed a contract to become a submissive at their hands for a month and then to be auctioned to live out her wildest fantasies.
The sexual journey Royce and King take her on, though, proves more powerful than she anticipated, and proves to her that she is right where she belongs.
This book is so hot it will fry the electrical circuits of your e-reader! If it’s a little thin on plot, it more than makes up for it in exploring the feelings of the three main characters and establishing the connection between them. This is a continuation of her series about Desire, Oklahoma, a town created for the specific purpose of allowing people to live with multiple partners, especially one woman with two or more men.
When Brenna Nelson storms into Club Desire to have it out in person with the people she believes trained her stalker, she finds instead that they not only didn’t train him, but are opposed to everything he stands for. Royce Harley and King Taylor in turn are fascinated by the beautiful little spitfire and offer her a deal: spend a month learning how they train dominants and then be auctioned off to the highest bidder for a night of incredible pleasure. Uncertain, but knowing this is something she needs, Brenna agrees. She quickly becomes the sub they are training, but she still feels conflicted about what she needs. Can she overcome her fears and doubts to become the woman Royce and King need? Can they train her to become the perfect submissive to handle two Doms at once? And will the threat her stalker still poses from jail tear their relationship apart?
Leah Brooke has created a real tour de force showing how Dominants view and train their submissives. Along the way she has created a ménage romance that will go down as one of the most erotic stories on the subject of BDSM. The book is an excellent read with a strong heroine, and two more than alpha males who are enough to make any women jealous of Brenna. If you can deal with the subject matter of ménage romance and BDSM, this is a must read.
This has probably been my least favourite of the bunch and I think it was the lack of communication between Royce, King, and Brenna that made the story a tad confusing and haphazard. As Dom's it wasn't something I was expecting and honestly....I was disappointed because of it.
All fought their feelings for all they were worth and this dishonestly made an impact in all their dealings together. I'm just not sure I believed that Brenna would have been willing to submit in the way Royce and King needed (for long anyway) and I'm not sure they believed she would either.
As always, the sex scenes were smokin' and frequent but that doesn't change the fact I barely knew any of the main characters.
I was really lookin forward to reading the newest installment of the Desire series, but it fell sort of flat to me. I remember the first books in the series not including this one really kept your attention and had really good story lines. This one I found myself skimming through most of it, including the smoking hot sex scenes. I found myself more interested in what was wrong with Nat and Jace's relationship than with the main characters. I really hoped you would find out what problems Nat was having, but nothing was resolved with that. The stalker thing seemed like it was just added to get the story started and that was it. I really hope that Ms. Brooke gets back to how the her stories originally were written like in Desire for Three. It's the first in the series and in my opinion the best one. Over all the story was good but no where near the standard that I'm used to reading from Ms. Brooke I'll continue reading the series and hope that this was just a fluke.
If I had to sum up the book in one word it would be "confusion". I was confused over the way Brenna flip flopped in her submission. I was confused by Royce and King saying they wanted her but she really needed to learn to submit. I was confused over the whole 'stalker' aspect (and it never really went into how the two brothers knew Donnor and why would they do that for him???). Lastly, I was confused over the parts of the story line that had Nat and her unhappiness (it never went anywhere so what was the point?).
3.5 stars Finally Royce and King's story and I was a little disappointed. I didn't mind that the story was more about emotions than plot. What I did mind was that everyone was hiding their emotions. King and Royce expected Brenna to be completely open and honest with them yet they held back their own feelings.
Would've liked more interaction and updates on the rest of the folks in Desire. Maybe in the next book...
I really wanted to love this story. It just did not happen for me. It want too far into BDSM and aspects I do not enjoy. I am not into that much slave play.
I am still a fan of the series. Steamy read regardless.
Definitely not my favorite in this series. I liked King and Royal but some of the things in this book I wasn't that comfortable with. I'm more at ease just reading ménage without the D/s aspect to it.
They were short actions and too much sex for me. The heroine - Red/Brenna is a bit annoyed. More interested in what's going on between Jack and Nat/Nataly.
The seventh installment is Leah Brooke's fantastic Desire, Oklahoma series finally gives readers what we have desperately been waiting for: King and Royce's story.
Brenna Nelson is a fairly new character. She has been mentioned before but never by name. She is the woman Eugene Donner, a Dom and the man that has giving both clubs so much trouble for the past couple of books, has been so fixated on. She is everything King and Royce need in a sub and woman. She is fiesty, stubborn, and isn't afraid of having a relationship with two Doms. However, though she maybe perfect in thier eyes; she was less so in mine.
Like all the other "outside" women that come to Desire, she doesn't understand why the women put up the men there. She thinks King and Royce are training Doms to be abusive and controlling.
Unlike the previous books where a emotional connection is forged fairly early, here there is no sign of a emotional connection until the book is almost over. There is no talking about their lives (except Brenna's "relationship" with Donner, and a brief mention of King's childhood), or the ceremonial having dinnner together.
What saved this book is scenes with other characters involved. There is a cute scene with Jesse and her husbands, mention of Kelly and Blade, Hope and Ace, Rachel and her newborn, and Erin and her husbands. There is also very happy news concerning a few of the characters, which if mentioned here would be very spoilish. Also, I was disappointed with the lack of mentioning of Beau and Charity, who are up next) since Brooke has some kind of scene between them since Dark Desire.
Overall, a good installment to the Desire series. However, the book I am most looking to is coming up next.
Book seven of the desire Oklahoma series focuses on a thirty four year old woman named Brenna who comes to desire to give the owners of club desire a verbal bashing since she was harassed, stalked and assaulted by one of their trainees Eugene Donner who became obsessed with her and who has been arrested for running Hope over, throwing a Molotov at lady desire. Royce and King convince her not all doms are like that and start training her but they quickly fall for the fiery red head who has fallen for them but she believes they only want her for sex. But danger still lurks despite Donner being locked up some one has been leaving threatening notes for her, turns out the Sikes brothers were doing it on orders for Donner. I loved the fact that Breanna gave Avery a good bashing of her own when he tried to attack her. I loved the fact that Erin’s pregnant, I felt sad Nat and Jake’s marriage is going through a tough time, I loved that Hope was rebuilding lady desire and trying to be a match maker with her sister Charity and beau. This was a good book to read.
I'm surprised this book has received such high reviews. I've been waiting for Royce and King's story since they were featured in Blade's Desire. I'm not entirely sure what's going on with Leah Brooke's writing, but her first handful of books were so much better than the last few she's written. Usually, it's the other way around.
I can't say I found any of the characters appealing. Royce and King were complete brutes and Brenna was just too stupid to live. Her whining was one of the reasons I couldn't finish this book; I deleted from my kindle three quarters of the way through.
I get it, the sex is supposed to be hot, but you can weave a story and multi-faceted characters around the sex (like Cherise Sinclair, for example). And the thing is Leah Brooke has been successful at doing exactly that in the past.
Beau and Charity's story is another one I'm really looking forward to and I hope LB pulls out some of the gold from the past for them.
In my re-reading until I get a new Desire book, Submission came up next on the menu. I knew some people weren't happy with the book the first time around from the reviews, but I loved it! The way Royce, King and Brenna express themselves is where this book is a huge winner for me. Yes, there is a lot of sex, but the entire book basically takes place solely in a sex club with two of the owner Dom's. Yes, there is a lot of dominance acts, but again, two Dom's, and the sub is pushed to and beyond her limits, but she needs to know if this is the life for her. Brenna thrives in the environment, learns her own strengths and how much she needs what Royce and King give her,all day, every day - another HEA for Desire residents!!
I've been waiting for this book since I read Blake's book, and I wasn't disappointed. Brenna was just a stubborn as I was expecting and Royce and King wouldn't let her push them around. The little bit about Donner (the guy who had been on the phone in Blake's book) was okay but it really didn't add much to the story line. It was more about Brenna and her discovery that BDSM isn't about teaching men how to abuse women which is what she thinks in the beginning, and that it takes a very strong woman to take on one master let alone two. Like always well written and it was great to catch up with a few of the others from Desire.
more like a 3.5 stars story. I was interested to see what kind of woman that Royce and King were going to find for themselves and was pleasantly surprised with Brenna. It started out so well with her training and I was impressed that she wanted to go with it. That was a beautiful scene in front of the mirror. As the story continued I was getting frustrated with Brenna and her struggle to submit. enough already! Plus the stalker plot line was over fast. Not a big scene and I thought there would have been more to it. I'm more interested in Nat and Jake. Saw a hint of it in the last book and it was more of them in this book. I hope she picks this story line up and gives us their story.
Brenna comes to the club to give a piece of her mind to the people that showed Donner (the man obsessed with her) how to become a Dom. Once she receives a threat while Donner's still in prison, King And Royce want to keep her safe by having her live with them. They will teach her that they don't encourage Doms to hit their subs.
This is my least favorite story from the series. Sure it was hot but we barely got news from Donner and that part once she lived at the club. Then something happens and boom it's dealt with in 2 pages. Usually the back story is throughout the whole book. A bit of deception from this story, will take a break before back into the Desire series.
I liked the book ok but I was a little disappointed with the whole "stalking" line. I was all ready for a "huge" conclusion to it and it was almost a let down that is was done and over in a page or so. The book was good as Leah Brooke can not write a bad book but maybe I just wanted a "wham and a bam" in the story not just a "wham". I would definitely recommend this to all Desire, Oklahoma fans.
Love Love Love Royce and King. I am a huge fan of Leah Brooke and of this series. It is one of my favorites and I forgot how much I loved the series. It makes me want to go back an reread this series from the beginning.
Book #7in the Desire series and it didn't disappoint. It started with Brenda charging into The Club that King,Royce &Blade own. King & Royce not sure what to make of Brenna. She challenges them from the beginning to the end. Great book!
