After a move across the country for college, Richie just wants to find himself and some meaning in life. He's not expecting to fall in love, and he definitely isn't expecting to fall in love with another guy. But Gene Hatchett shows Richie parts of himself that he has never wanted to confront, and now Richie has a choice to make - be who he is, or return to the barren simplicity of his old life - no matter the price.

A slice of life novella.

I started writing in 2009 on a whim - I heard about a contest on an erotic writing website (literotica.com, for those of you who are interested) and thought, what the hell? It was the beginning of a rewarding and deeply satisfying period in my life; I began writing regularly for the site, and the feedback and encouragement I received there gave me the courage to strike out on my own and try to make a real go of this.

A heartbreaking and difficult romance, there is no happy ending here. I only hope that what I was thinking at the end does not come to realisation. Its a terribly sad story "sniffs"!

This would probably have been a 3 star rating as the majority of the book was OK and to be fair not a bad story or badly written but the ending totally wiped out any enjoyment I'd had up till then. It was overly angsty, depressing and pointless, I ended up wishing I'd never read it at all. I don't expect every story to have a HEA or HFN but I do expect an ending to have some sort of satisfactory conclusion and this was so abrupt it left me feeling unsettled and upset .Not sure of the authors intentions but I was left feeling there was no hope of happiness in the future for either of the two main characters , just glad it was free so I didn't feel I'd wasted money.
