Urban fantasy re-imagining of Snow White. Snow White has just discovered she is a Revenant vampire, re-awakened and turned by the gorgeous new student at school who appeared in her dreams. Chace Charming, who tells her that in the land of the vampires, he is also known as Christopher, is her Hunter. After awakening, she returns to her normal life, being trained in supernatural history by her neighbor Professor Pops and in weapons by his 7 sons, specifically Gabe, who she has a crush on, and her usual school classes, including the track team. But at every turn, there is Chase, with girls dripping off him.

While I love the idea of an urban fantasy re-imagining of Snow White and it’s only natural for her to be a vampire (the whole awaking from the dead), I have seen other versions with her as a vampire, making the idea less than original. This comes off as being very young teen, and Snow White comes off as being even younger with her “ugh, ew, as if,” and other childish pre-teen speak. I prefer reading books geared to the older teen/young adult demographic, so this is a bit too childish for my tastes. She’s focused on boys, and her relationship and romance with Chace, and then hides the relationship with Chace so she can still string along Gabe (which makes me feel less of her). And to add to the childish aspect, this had colorful bite-size pixies in it (pixilettes). I also felt less of her for hiding petty things from her friends and family, rather than actually being a friend and confiding (but then Cindy does feel like a shallow character anyway). Snow just feels rather shallow in general, especially with the way she knows all of the girls in the school want Chace, but she knows he loves only her. I did like that we got at least a bit more background on Chace/Christopher this time around, though we still don’t know much about him nor his motives.

A protector or Christopher? Who does she choose, or does she at all? More mystery and excitement on every page. Loved this one as much as the first two. I want more!!! These books take you into the author's world and hold you hostage. You can't put the book down. These are the kind of books that I love. If you lose me in the first two chapters, the book is put back on the shelf. Truly worth every star and more!

This is the third instalment in the ‘Blood and Snow’ series.
In this story we learn a bit more about Chase/Christopher, and a bit more about what being marked means for Snow. There wasn’t quite as much romance in this one, and there was a little bit of info dumping.
The ending was a bit of a cliff-hanger again, but I do want to read the next book.
Overall; another fairly good instalment.
7.5 out of 10.

Getting intense. Snow thought she had feelings for Gabe. But now she's starting to have feelings for Christopher. And now her parents who've been gone all this time has finally returned. What will they say when they find out? But something tells me that her Step-mother may already know.

I liked that we got Christopher's story, but there is more that I want to know. I feel like a big chunk is missing out of the story. All and all I liked it. I just need more.

Definitely more boring than the others but that’s because I don’t really care much about Christopher. I would rather the story be about Snow, the boys, or Cindy.

Since novellas 1-4 are bundled together I'm just going to re-cap all of them at once.

I don't know why they were split up like that instead of one book, it was annoying as hell.

Classic Snow White re-telling with vampires.

**Spoiler, re-cap below**

Snow is an almost 16 year old student with a beloved father and a step-mother she doesn't like. Her best friends are Claire, a girl from school and the 7 adopted brothers who live next door to her (Bart, Sebastian, Daniel, Dorian, Gabriel, Heathcliff and Salvatore). She has a crush on Gabe.

They take a trip to Boston to run an errand for the boy's adoptive father, Professor Pops, and meet Kenmei, a friend of Pop's. While at Kenmei's Snow falls asleep and dreams of a vampire biting her. When she wakes up she's stronger, can hear heartbeats, etc.

She is told that she is really a changling (or a revenant), meaning she is part vampire and part human and the Vampire Queen has sent a Hunter after her to prepare her. The Queen needs a new body every 1,000 years and Snow is in the running.

Kenmei and Pops were both Hunters but left the Hive (vampire culture is set up like bees) when they fell in love with their Chosens. Now they want to kill the Queen.

There are hundreds of Chosens at a time, but most die in the selection process. In order for the Queen's magic to work, the revenant must drink the blood of their true love and then consume his heart (bleh, graphic).

Snow keeps falling asleep and being brought into an alternate dimension where she sees "her" Hunter, but not his face. She has an overwhelming urge to not only drink his blood, but have him drink hers. She finally realizes her Hunter is actually the new guy at school, Chase Charming (oh yes, they did).

Snow starts fight training with the boys (Pops has been training them since their adoption) and learning about all the magical creatures.

Charming leaves her a necklace, but then disappears. Kenmei tells her it has great magic, it was created by the original vampire, Silandra, who also happens to have been the Queen's twin sister, whom she killed. Kenmei also tells her that she can restore peace and destroy the Queen, it's all up to her. Obviously she freaks the hell out and bolts, telling all of them to stay away from her.

All of a sudden her best friend Cindy is a witch. Where did that come from. Eh, never mind.

After weeks away she finally makes up with the guys and starts training with Gabe. They kiss and he offers her his blood (since Charming is still MIA) and she loses control. Pops stops her, but by the time he does it looks like Gabe is dead (I'm thinking he's not) and she freaks out and runs.

So… I instead of writing a separate review for each SHORT story, Im just writing a full review for the first four (since I bought this as four in one. ) and copy it and paste it for the first four volumes.
I have to say, originally when I bought this, I thought they were ACTUALLY full books. Then I saw they were short stories… ok. But no, they are VERY short (not even novellas) novelettes.

Now- I don’t like short stories. You will hear me say this time and again. I like LONG novels, and Series, so the story just goes on and on.

I think I would love this story. Though there are a few things that bother me because they are super cheesy, like her name, and Christophers last name. I don’t like how completely fragile she appears in the beginning and I don’t like how she is pretty (TOTALLY) immature.
But mostly I don’t like how its split up in tiny little volumes.
BUT – other than that, I love it!

I love the brothers, and Professor pops. I don’t really understand the absent father and crazy step mom (like… is it even legal to leave a 15 year old alone for months?) I like the story, and the world building. The vampire queen tale, and her magic. I like Cindy and her new found power.

I even like Christopher.

And I love RaShelles writing style! I HIGHLY recommend her Immortal Essence Series!!

I just think I would love this more if it weren’t split the way it is.
Will I finish the series…? I don’t know. Its supposed to have many more volumes (I think I saw that there would be 12 somewhere, but im not positive)

Rating for the first 4 volumes: 3.5 (rounding down because i just cant get over the strange novelette thing and cheesy moments. And I kinda was let down because I JUST finished her other novels and expected so much more)

So I’m going to review this entire set all together because really each installment was just too short to stop and write a review. I don’t think I would’ve made it all the way through if I had done that. That being said, I enjoyed this series for it’s straightforwardness. There were times that Snow went back and forth between men, but I think it was always pretty clear that her true love was going to be Dorian. I picked up on it by the time I hit Revenant in Training. So much happens in the series, but I will say that there was great character building especially for everything being set up in such short novellas. For being so many installments it was a surprisingly quick read, and I did enjoy reading them. I would recommend just buying the complete set instead of buying each one individually especially because it was obnoxious having to keep moving to the next one. I just wanted to be able flip the page! Overall, I would give the series 3 stars. It wasn’t spectacularly amazing, but it was a good quick read that I did enjoy overall despite it being a bit juvenile.

Snow White has learned who the Hunter is that is turning her into a vampire. She has also learned that he is a matter in the art of seduction. In the process of learning this, her relationship/friendship with Gabe takes a turn towards awkward. No one really knows what has been happening in the Vampire Queen's realm between her and the vampire Christopher, but it has become obvious to all seven guys that something is changing for Snow. Her heart takes an emotional hit, but Christopher is there to help her feel better. The question is whether Christopher is doing it to further his agenda in turning Snow into the Queen's vessel or because he has feelings for her.

Another great installment to the vampire version of Snow White. I am enjoying this series so much that I am reading at least a book a day. I am starting book four and plan to purchase the rest of the series so I don't have to pause in reading it at all.

Snow quickly accepted what she is. There were some questions answered but Snow hardly asked any. That was a bit hard to believe that she'll be so okay with what's going on.

Snow also quickly started seeing Chace/Christopher/The Hunter, even though she was starting something with Gabe. She knows what The Hunters do, she knows the risks but she ignores all that and keeps seeing him. Either he is charming her or they do like each other. I mean come on, she falls during track, hurts herself, and nobody saw that besides Chace. Nobody saw him carry her away, or wonder what happened to her. She just forgets about school and track. Either way Snow is going to get into a mess with the Professor, the seven guys and her friend Cindy. Shes been ignoring her, and Cindy does seem a bit nosy but I guess that's what friends do.

There were a couple of negatives but I am liking these stories. I want to see what happens. :)

I couldn't put vol 3 down. It captured me and held me hostage until the last word and then when I read the last words leading to the cliff hanger I didn't want to be released. I wanted more, the cliff hanger left me shouting out.... Oh no! now what? I didn't want it to end. I loved delving deeper into the world of Snow and finding out more about what is happening to her and those around her, just as we learn more about Christopher and how he became a vampire too. I love the magic created between them. But also with Gabe, and how things are so uncertain between him and Snow and their relationship. There was so much about the story that makes you anticipate what is next, your mind knows the snow white story, but with this fairy tale twist you never know what will happen next, and vol 4 can't come fast enough.

"The Vampire Christopher" reveals more clues into the world of Snow White and the hunter, Chace/Christopher. Snow isencountering Christopher more often and exchanging blood. He believes her growing powers will begin to emerge but while testing the theory, Snow is attacked. Pixelettes come to her aide and as they heal her she is transported back in time where she discovers Christopher's origins as a hunter.

Snow and Gabe have decided to place their growing attraction on hold and Corking seems to be distancing himself as well. Is all of this sound a bit convoluted; well, it actually was. Additionally, I am getting a little annoyed at poor little weak Snow who is so clumsy and has no will power to do anything but follow the leads of others. At this point, I'm not sure if I will continue with this series beyond book 4.

Snow has a lot of awkward moments in this next installment. Her blood lust doesn't seem to be as bad since she drank from Christopher whose actually Chace her classmate. Turns out he's a vampire as well and remembers everything that happened between them in the other realm. Snow gets trained to fight from Gabe and learns more from Professor Pops. Despite all the things going on Snow tries to carry on a normal life. I see a possibly love triangle happening between Snow, Christopher, and Gabe. I'm still liking the story and now I guess we're gonna learn more about her father and stepmother in the next installment. This series is good and I'm not exactly hooked, but it's making me want more.

Probably Round up to 3.5 stars. I read Volumes 1-4. They are short books and really are best read together, I think. I have problems with girls who are constantly being told they are special and beautiful and NEVER BELIEVE IT. But then again, it seems like aside from the men who know her "secret" no one else seems to think she's special or attractive. Once my annoying with that was over, I gotta say I enjoyed the plot. Some of the dialogue seemed not very natural and sometimes she seems like she was 17 instead of 15 (which does make a difference). But still, I kept reading and was very surprised I was kept interested.

Just like another of my favorite authors, RaShelle Workman knows how to wrap you into a story, get you all spun up and then throw in another twist... at the end of the story!!! Props to her for keeping the reader hungry for more! Chase/Christopher (her Hunter) is yummy too! If you've seen my reviews for the first two books you'd notice that I was all for Gabe and while that's still true I'm really enjoying Snow's Hunter as well! Keep them coming and I'll keep reading! I've decided that she is worthy of the five stars!

I purchased this novelette/short story(not sure what to call it it's more like one book broken up into several) as a 4 pack from Amazon, so I think I will review them all in one on #4.

I will say I enjoyed these books and would have rated them probably a 4 but I feel several of them should be combined into one book. These are really short yet they are not really novelettes as there's no "end" to any of them. It's like one story broken up into small segments which end rather abruptly. I do love the originality and idea of the story very much.

After biting her Hunter, Christopher, Snow becomes less of a klutz. But that does not stop the issues from occurring in her life.
One of her friends goes missing, Gabe decides to back off from their pending relationship, and of course her parents show up.
In this novelette, you learn how Christopher became a vampire. As well as, how Snow survives the 1st attack on her life. Although Gabe backs off, he’s there to train her, as well as take her to school each day.

There is so much that could be told, but telling them kinda of spoils the read.

A bit more info but solid background on Christopher, which was nice to finally know more about him.I'm starting to like him more and more as the series unfolds which I'm trying not to get too attached since I'm at ends with if he could be Snow's true love...
Bleh Gabe...I don't even want to start with him.
I know its probably hard to do so much in one installment but darn I wish we got to know all of the brothers a bit more...names will be dropped on them and I cant remember/ put face to name, frustrating!
Again Cliff hanger.

I absolutely love Christopher. I'm not sure what it is about him, but his character is just amazing as the story progresses. I wanted to hate him, don't get me wrong, but how can you hate that? He's just a good guy, and I honestly think he'll help Snow in the rest of the series...and maybe become her true love? I guess we'll see...I have yet to read the rest of the series, but I look forward to it :)

This is kind of where the story starts getting good. Workman starts throwing in some serious twists. And at this point, the reader is generally all for Gabe, but then there's the mysterious Hunter. I found myself wondering with Snow if he is just mastering his art, or is he genuine? Apparently he doesn't have to best reputation. Snow is on the fence between vampire and human. Will she choose to do things to become more human, or give into her bloodlust and slowly morph more into a vampire?

I'm still not sure about this. Snow is starting to irritate me. Why does she trust this Hunter so much when she knows NOTHING about him (except he is a master manipulator)? Why doesn't she ask questions that are important? The professor is like a dad and he knows all about this stuff, it makes no sense. Having a hard time connecting with this story. Plus it really is something I would enjoy normally.

Passionate Bites Anthology

2.5 Stars

Snow needs to start training to defend herself but she is too busy flirting with her Hunter. And all the while she seems totally ok with knowing nothing about anything. Also a scarf with an Ed Hardy T-shirt?!? I couldn't concentrate after that visual. And just the fact that she decides to keep everything to herself instead of letting the people who are helping her know... Very annoying.

Blood and Snow Volume 3:The Vampire Christopher(BLOOD and SNOW SEASON ONE BOOK 3) By RaShelle WORKMAN

Enjoyable and engaging storyline with charming characters who are dealing with plenty of challenges. I enjoyed reading about them very much but I don't like having to read stories a section at a time. So that was a draw back for me. But if you don't mind it then I definitely recommend you check out this series by RASHELLE WORKMAN!

The Vampire Christopher is literally what the title is: Snow White's "Hunter." It's pretty much well noticed by now that Snow White's changed quite a bit from book 1, and we actually find out how Christopher turned into a Vampire and became a Hunter. At least Snow's personality hasn't changed! I do feel like Christopher needs more back story though.

When I started this installment, I did not want to like Christopher. I felt like Snow was being a bit trampy by seeing Christopher at night when she had Gabe, but after Gabe backed off her, he started growing on me.

I feel like this book is really catchy, it just seems more like a serial book than novellas. I'm excited to see how Snow's stepmother will play into the story.

Snow and Christopher/Chace, the hunter, exchange blood. After Snow is attacked, she finds out how he became a vampire. The story ends with the appearance of the stepmother, so I’m curious about what happens next. I’d also like to read the previous volumes. This was an engrossing supernatural tale mixing elements of Snow White and vampirism.

I loved the book. However it's quite 'unrealistic'. I know it's a fantasy book but still; you need to keep it a bit realistic. The only reason I started reading it was because I got the first 4 books for free on my Kindle..But I was immediately hooked into it..And I just had to buy the rest.
