For His Pleasure #2

For His Taking

Rate this book
Twenty-two year old Nicole Masters never expected to be engaged to Red Jameson, the business mogul and celebrity who owns the company where she works as an intern.

But now she's got to deal with much more than simply pleasing Red in the bedroom (a full-time job in and of itself).

Someone leaks the story of their relationship to the tabloids, and soon Nicole is dealing with angry stares from jealous co-workers, cruel stories written about her online, and a creepy stranger who seems to know more about Red's personal life than she does.

On top of that, Red's unpredictable moods and his secretiveness are beginning to take their toll on Nicole's trusting nature.

With so much working against them, can Nicole find a way to keep her relationship with Red intact, or will the high-pressure world that Red lives in eventually drive them apart?

For His Taking (For His Pleasure, Book 2) is a 35,000 word tale of lust, submission, power and ultimately--a love story for the ages.

Slightly better than the first book. Still weirded out by the fact that they actually got engaged in the previous book, and that she actually accepted. What the hell! That doesn't happen in real life. It's got gold digger written all over it if it happened in real life, but no, in the book, she doesn't want his money.

Hey, anything's possible.

I cannot say that the book was a big improvement from the first one, but it was almost decent. I felt like Nicole was fighting alone against the world. I don't like Red much.

Enjoyed this one a lot more than the first one. Took less than 24 hours to read - while also reading a third of another book... so it really managed to keep my attention.

I found it much more realistic than the first one, especially with the timeline being used with everything happens. There where a few inconsistances. For example they where broken up for a month, and that is why she sends the ring back... but then two pages later, she was in his house for the first time, a week earlier... not quite consitant ;)

Can't wait to start the third one at bedtime! :)

I am digging this series. Red is a little bit "out there", but I like their dynamic as a couple and will check out book #3 to see where their journey goes.

Okay, that was cute. Loved a few reminents of a "she's all that" moment near the middle. The end was fun too. Sounded more like an end, but apparently there's more. So, well see what these crazy kids do. Also, liked the little twist of Red's past. Little different than the other reasons why the guys are twisted in the head from other books.

Amazing

Great book. So many ups and downs but intense as well. This book is thrilling and keeps you interested beyond what you could hope for.

Great Series!!
This series was awesome. I couldn't put it down. I love multi-dimentional plots. This series had so much going on that I literally got lost in it in a great way.

Bintang 3
Buku 2/16 seri For His Pleasure.

Ternyata kehidupan percinyaan Nicole-Red mempengaruhi seluruh aspek kehidupan Nicole, terutama dilingkungan kerja mereka.

Namun lagi lagi hubungan mereka diterpa masalah lagi.

Better than the first book. The confusion I had in the first book got cleared up… But the relationship is still really fast… I don’t have so much of a problem with that anymore because I do believe two people can fall in love quickly… This book was more informative especially on Red. The big thing I didn’t like about this book though was… Now I’m not sure if I’ve just lost my mind… But um I was reading and they were broke up for like a month I believe maybe a tad bit more when Nicole mailed the ring back and Red came for her at Yoga… but um… when they had dinner the night they got back together Nicole said that you couldn’t even tell that the dining room was destroyed a few days ago and that she couldn’t believe all that happened a few days ago…? I swear that had to be the hugest typing era I’ve ever read and I had seriously thought my mind was playing tricks on me so I had to literally go back through the book to make sure I wasn’t needed to be admitted to a mental institution… But anyways… I’m moving on to the third one because I’m still curious!

Speed reading through the whole book. Heroine is very self centered and materialistic. She makes me feel that she wants to be with the hero just because he is very rich and she assume that this feeling is love. But when he needed her, she left him and said she thought he's gonna hurt her.

Every few pages, she will think to herself that after they got married half or his will be hers.

Over the course of the relationship, she didn't really put in any effort besides feeling sad and expect him to wait on her. Can't say how much I dislike her.

Why did I buy 3 books of this series at a go? -.-
Did not really enjoy this book. But it was a quick read. I like Red but I don't like Nicole. Because of Red, shall just rate this book 2 stars.

Okay, this was better, but I feel like the heroine is spineless and the hero is a world class jackass. I like the appeal of the hard to get man with a mommy that has mental health issues and mistreated her soon Really, that added more depth to Red. HOWEVER, it felt like that tadbit was just thrown in there really hard to connect with him. The pace was better. I was able to suspend belief like I am suppose to with these novellas and follow the change of events.

Why the three stars? I felt like she ran off a list of things from an outline and RUSHED the flow of the story. Again, a lot of potential and much better than the first, but it just wasn't cohesive enough for me.

At first I was thinking it is short, but after reading it & going right on to book 2 I didnt mind (I got book 1-9 at one time). So it was more like each book is a big chapter.
I have to say Im really glad I dont really take into count some people views as seeing some of them I was just shocked. Some people just need to go back to reading boring books.

I LOVED to whole series, yes at time I was mad, sad, worried, loved, hot, that is what books are meant to do make you feel and this series does that.
Im glad I read them and Im waiting for book 10 as it does really hook you into the story.

3.75 out of 5. It is the continuation of the "For His Pleasure" series that are not stand alone novellas but are really quite good reading. It is also the continuing story of a relationship that truly is an on-again-off-again kind of one, the hero is mysterious and certainly not willing to let his new fiance into the deeper reaches of his inner thoughts. Nicole is pretty and loyal, but even she is wondering if the stresses of international business and Red's own mysterious background and inner demons won't succeed in keep them apart.

Found this one in a what to read after Fifty Shades list and I'm having a hard time finding the stories and the characters similar, I mean yeah it's a girl recently graduate and a not so old billionaire guy who feels attraction, as soon as they met, but there was definitely more story development in Fifty Shades, I found this rushed and unrealistic, like a lot. I didn't like the characters either. I didn't hate them but didn't love them neither.

I still will give it 2 stars 'cause it was OK, nothing fantastic, but it kept my attention to continue reading.

Ok so an improvement on book 1 about Red and Nicole..... However Red is still an ass and Nicole is still too naieve...... Comeon engaged in book 1 even though he treats her like #%&*...... Then that doesn't improve in this book no she takes him back he is still vile to her (which this story tried to explain away with a #&&* past for Red).... I don't recommend this book.... Sorry..... I may be stupid but I hope for better when I read the next book

This is the second book in the series and I must say I enjoyed this a hell of a lot more then then the first one. I didn't seemed rushed like the first one and I think that's the reason why. Loving all the drama this story has and I'm glad we've had a look into Red's background story. I found the book a little predictable at times but I'm still going to read them to find out what happens in the rest of the story.

I still think the proposal was too soon they didn't know each other at all and the timing was way too soon for his personality in the beginning. Remi was one thing but Danielle was another entirely. She was a pain in the butt from jump and I don't see how Nicole even was her friend to begin with. We finally learned more about Red even with the time frame of the glass breaking being off. The story really picked up at the end even with her still being gullible and chasing after him.

Still not made up my mind whether I like these two. She annoyed me a bit, at the first hint of an issue she goes mad, she is immature and relies on others for money; her parents for rent and then Red for wages. Why go to him straight away anyway, they only just got together yet she goes to him for help knowing he is a billionaire. He is obviously disturbed but overly so considering his childhood.

Just bad. Period. Poor writing. Poor editing. Storyline was all over the place! Thank the Lord I got the whole boxed set for .99 cents. I should have listened to the bad reviews, but then others claimed to love it! I don't get it. I like her characters fairly well, so it made me want to continue. Kind of like a car wreck, from which you can't peel your eyes away. I kept reading....Cheap imitation of so many good erotic novels.

I enjoyed installment more than the first one. I feel like the emotions were more believable and both Red and Nicole didn't just poof end up happy in the end with the blink of an eye, there was more build up. I think i will enjoy the others in the series and For His Taking has given me some hope that they will be enjoyable.

BE WARNED: these 'books' are all novella's. This is a money making scam as I see there are now 15 already!?!? I read the 1st six books and they were hot BUT there are plenty other fully fledged books in the Kindle sea. Don't waste your time here. As The BookChick write: book #1 should have been the last in this series.

This book was slightly better than the first but not so much that it inspired me to give it three stars. At least this one was a bit more believable in the actual storyline. I keep hoping it will get better....at least it isn't very long!

This was better than the first. You really get to start to know the characters and really like Red. At first you don't know if he's really an ass or a nice guy, but the more you find out the more you like him. His family is dysfunctional to say the least. Creepy mom!!!!!

This part of the story was a little bit better than book #1. Although Red still acted like a jerk for most of the book. At the end, he did prove to Nicole that he would do anything for her. For the most part I enjoyed this book. Now I'm reading book #3.

It was not one of my favorite books and I will probably not be reading any more of the series. I just don't have any interest in the characters. They're together...they're not together...eh who cares? I thought 50 Shades of Grey was the most unbelievable book I had ever read...until I read this.

I'm curious how the story goes but so far these novels feel amateur at best. I've read a lot better. This novelist/author has some talent but it needs to be more cultivated to catch peoples attentions in the correct manner.
