Despite his father's objections, a fifteen-year-old Norwegian boy goes off to spend the summer with an older friend, and finds himself alone with Ulf on a long sailing cruise. He suppresses his suspicions about Ulf's acquisition of the boat and is hesitant to face eventual conflict over their differing philosophies.
I read this book because a) it met one of the 2019 Reader Harder challenge prompts and b) I owned it. I don't this it was written for me, but it was a quick read. I really enjoyed all the descriptions of sailing and I love a good take a trip with a friend book It was just a bit hard for me to relate to at times. Probably better for a teenage boy.
